I tried this recipe. It was the best chocolate cake I've ever made! I just used gluten free flour instead of the white flour and I got the same result and I added also about 50 grams of melted chocolate to my dough and I Soaked my cakes with coffee syrup. This cake is to die for! Receipe is so easy to follow because she is so great with directions. Next time I make it I will let the frosting cool overnight and frost the next day. It takes hours for it to firm up. Two hours is not enough time.

Made this for our little July 4th celebration and it was delicious! I did have a bit of trouble when I was frosting the cake because the frosting was starting to melt and was pooling around my cake base. I was able to fix it by popping it into the fridge for about an hour and then I was able to finish frosting it. By the next day, only a little slice was left and no one's telling who hid it.
Oh my goodness!! This recipe is so great.. I followed all the instructions correctly and managed to whisk up one heck of a delicious chocolatey cake!!! Lots of love to you Anna❤
cocoa powder the sides of the pan instead of flour so when cakes come out, they are not looking white on the surface. Add 1/3 cup buttermilk to make it moist. If you shake the batter in the pan before putting in the oven, you get rid of air inside the batter and when the cake comes out, it has no holes on top

After watching your video, I went and tried that cake recipe. It was SO easy to put together, even down to the nice smooth ganache. It tasted great too. Thanks for a more simple recipe than most of them we see in cookbooks! Reverse Creaming is also good, we think.

Just tried this cake and this is absolutely amazing! I am no pro when it comes to baking a cake and I was turning skeptical when during baking the cake started forming weird color and reshaping into a dome. But all the worries were for nothing. It has such a deep chocolate taste. It's an absolute treat for your taste buds 😉 As my cake has just cooled and I was tasting it from the leftover scrapes after levelling it, I am just so happy 😁. I am going to top it with a chocolate buttercream. Hope the exterior deco turns out good as well.

I'm just making this recipe. I used Trader Joe's pound plus dark chocolate instead of semisweet baking chips. Also reduced the coffee by half since we had a Christmas dessert where the chocolate was overpowered by the coffee. My cake rounds really puffed up in the centers so I had to trim the bottom. Waiting for the frosting to cool down.
Anna have you heard of cake strips. It is a fabric or kitchen towel and foil strip one use to wrap around the outside of the cake tin while it bakes to prevent it from "dome-ing" what do you think of them and would you use them like ever?

Not true about the using cocoa powder over flour. I’ve always dusted with flour and my cakes have never had a white surface
What difference does it make if you're frosting the cake no one's going to see the flour on the sides anyway.

My cake rounds really puffed up in the centers so I had to trim the bottom. Waiting for the frosting to cool down.

Anna have you heard of cake strips. It is a fabric or kitchen towel and foil strip one use to wrap around the outside of the cake tin while it bakes to prevent it from "dome-ing" what do you think of them and would you use them like ever?

What can we use as a substitute for sour cream in the frosting. Has anyone tried greek yogurt???
UPDATE: Ok so I tried replacing sour cream with hung curd for the frosting and it did not disappoint 😊 Happy me!!!!
The result was a super moist cake and of course FUDGY Frosting😁
