How do make characters assets where the outline of the character changes color depending on the color that it’s outlining, idk how to explain it, like the top half of the character is red and the bottom half is blue, so the border on the bottom is a dark gray while the border on the top is a dark red

there are two ways
1. convert your outline to fills and use the same pencil line you'd use to change the color of the asset to change the color of the outline
2. make the asset a dark color (depends on asset color) at a low opacity, and copy it (dont paste yet).
then, set the outline to twice the size (ex. 3 px ->6 px) and convert the outline to fills. then paste in the original lines with Ctrl+Shift+V. this should split the thicker outline in half. delete the outer half of the thick outline and delete the thin outline.
this method is a bit more complicated and was in a video by satomi but she deleted it for some reason💀
