My first skateboard looked like that. I skated it nearly every day. When it was cold outside I’d brush of the salt on the concrete and ate or I’d skate in the basement. When you’re dedicated you skate until the tail falls off, and then you use the nose as the tail until that wears down too. Still didn’t completely discourage me. Props to this kid for skating that much.

I actually did a bit of research on the board, and the tony hawk Huckjam was a series of boards specifically made to be sold at WALMART, production of the board ended in 2010....

A guy i knew 15 years ago used to ride a board like that and he was killin it. The only problem was that once he got a new board he couldnt do shit coz the board was so heavy.
that was kinda my first skateboard, here's the thing in the place where i live we never had skateshops and you could only acced to one for like 150$ which for me being 13 was like having 15.000$, but back in the time we had those chinese skteaboards for 10$ that you could find from time to time in some street toy shops if u had some luck, so for my b-day my dad bought 3 of those for my brother, my cousin and me, i really loved to skateboard and always wanted to try it after playing video games like tony hawk 2 and skate and destroy, also watching a tv show that was about extreme sports on axn which was amazing(sadly i don't remember the show name lol) anyways i remember skating every single day until my skateboard was so worn from tail to nose that i had only a little bit of space to put my foot on the tail, it was crazy lol but i remember i used it until it was totally worn the wood was falling apart and nearly touching the trucks, after that i had to wait 5 years to have a decent skateboard when i was 19 and i bought myself a fancy birdhouse tony hawk skateboard which i love, it was my dream to have one of these. but i always will love that chinese 10$ skateboard, where i gave my first skateboarding steps.

it's sad how the majority of parents don't want to invest a small amount of money so their kids can develop the passions they have... a guitar or a skateboard is not that expansive but most of the times they will get the cheapest thing possible which is really not good for developing confidence
The most ironic part about this is that the worst board on the entire internet is still better than Amazon boards, because it was made by skaters who actually cared. Just the fact that it aged like that is a testament of how much the board was used, and it lived a full life. Rest in peace, Tony Hawk Huckjam Series Level 6 Uncle Sam Skeleton.

i actually had a same board when I was 14. My "equivalent of wallmart board" broke after 1st ollie and I traded the alluminimium trucks for a board of this sort... still managed to manual and learn 50-50 on it.. where there is will, there is a way..

Lani Cookie Walmart boards are not the best because the are not as sturdy as a real board. Also the plastic they use for the trucks are very flexible so you can't grind or turn as easily with them. And in addition to that the wheels can not support alot of wieght. You can still get a Wal-Mart board but it will probably last a couple of months. They're best for people who start out because beginners don't do most of the board destroying tricks.

Braille skate! You guys freaking rock!! I skated from 11 years old to 22 and I haven’t had a board in forever!! I really bad injured myself in a car wreck shattering my leg,face and back but after 6+ years of recovery I’m finally ready to start skating again! But with kids mortgage and bills I can’t hardly afford a decent skateboard! Arron you are a true inspiration man! Love your old school skate vids with the baggie jeans dude!! What’s sad is that’s nicer than my first board . I found mine on the side of the road and with no grip no name trucks wheels and bearings and there was a hole like some one shot it. Nice vid:)
