    Reekay, your videos are home runs! This one is a grand slam! What great content! So much of the risk US men carry with them abroad is home country bias. Men are so effected by dating in the US they limit themselves by responding to any Filipina who offers any better than their precious experiences in the US. For myself I recognized I had this so I worked to deprogram myself so I could show up for a complete, fulfilling and memorable first experience in the Olympics of dating in SE Asia. Great content! Thank you 🙏🏼

    Good presentation and basic set of good rules which should be common knowledge but unfortunately that's not always the case from what I've read/watched regarding dating in the Philippines. When I get out to the Philippines in late 2024, I plan to stay for 3-4 months to evaluate the Philippines for my retirement. I'm not sure where I'll live yet but will probably travel around a bit to see what places I like best. On my list are BGC, Cebu, Bohol, island of Negros and maybe Iloilo if I get time. After that exploratory visit, I should have a good idea of if & where I want to be retired in the Philippines. I don't know yet if I'll try dating during that first trip due to being busy and visiting places but maybe a cute Filipina would show me around a bit, especially with visiting enjoyable places that I didn't know about.

    I think you might seriously want to change your "3 rules."
    1. Get over the hurts so you're not dragging every x with you on every new encounter.
    2. Work on yourself so you're going to the PI with your best self, not a broken boy looking to sob in his Philapina's arms.
    3. Since when is rejection bad for men? If we do not get rejected repeated as boys, we would still all be living at home with our parents. Allan Harper anyone??

    Filipinas that want to date expats will put themselves in your path . Don't be disillusioned that every Filipina wants a foreign guy, and many will not give you the time of day. Those with lighter skin do have an advantage because it is deemed to be desirable in their culture, and this goes way back when the Chinese first stepped on the islands centuries ago. Blue eyes are even more of a bonus as these women are looking at what their children might look like and their daughters becoming beauty queens. Now, just like anywhere else, people have preferences but may step outside of their box if you seem to be a good catch .

    Hi Reekay. The dating situation you describe is hard for me to even imagine. You are absolutely right, I’ve never, ever experienced what you have described. Just a FYI, the countryside of Shikoku, Japan is the complete polar opposite - I’ve almost never even met any single women here. They all tend to either get married very young or they leave for the bigger cities. Dating women where I live in Japan is next to impossible. I’ll admit, I think I’ve had less than half a dozen dates in over 12 years. 😂

      this is why, if you're dating to find a relationship.. you spend a lot of time with them before making any commitments. even the first 3 months will tell you a lot. like.. are they married.

      i never found one generator that could do everything. i've used everything from Dall-e, which just had a major upgrade, to midjourney, and leonardo combined with chatgpt and other prompt engineering websites. it's kinda like throwing together a recipe for chicken soup. ha!
      but what i've found in almost a year of working with AI is that even a good generator is only as good as the prompts you give it. that takes a lot of trial and error to 'learn' how to speak to it for the results you want. best thing you can do is pick one, like say.. midjourney, and just keep smashing at it until you get the results you're looking for.

      yes. however, due to the internet i do see a shift where more filipinas are becoming just a bit more choosier about the caliber of expat she knows she can get. a direct result of realizing she, as a Filipina is also a hot commodity in the dating realm. much of this has come from discussions among the Passport Bros movement.
      but for now, nothing major has changed. there is still an insanely huge ratio of filipinas looking for a relationship with the relative few expats that expats are still in very high demand now, and looking well into the next ten years. at worst, men will simply need to up-their-game a bit and stop shuffling around as the scruffy-expat with booze on his breath. a man who knows how to present himself well is always in demand among women.

    This sounds too good to be true. If the M/F ratio is one to one in a population, why are there so many "surplus" Filipinas? Aren't attractive women of any race or nationality used to being approached and soon grow used to rejecting many of the men who approach them? It can't just be Western/American women who take men for granted. And a woman who'll break up with her boyfriend at the drop of a hat will break up with you just as quick, no? it's common for older American women to feel, "If you're older and single, you must not be much of a catch." Not so among Filipinas? True, it's my American mindset talking, but a Filipina needn't be young or beautiful. Decent, kind, honorable and loving would be a gift from God.

      just think of it as same in the west... but reversed. older, financially established, more knowledgeable expat men are the desired catch for a filipina.
      they are the ones clamoring for us because we are in short supply. a filipino younger man struggling to put rice on the table is a peso a dozen. but a 'rich' expat who actually possess some maturity... we are in high demand.

    Does the onward throw away ticket really work when you arrive at the airport in Cebu? And if you’re going to be in the Philippines more than 29 days, why can’t you just tell the immigration people that you are leaving but haven’t booked a ticket yet. Evidently they don’t check your passport when you exit the Philippines to see if you have a stamp in your passport for that other country you were supposed to have gone to.

    • @Lifebeyondthesea
      @Lifebeyondthesea  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      if you have a return flight booked within 30-days, that will count as your onward-ticket. if it leaves not until after 30-days, sometimes that is accepted.. other times not. just depends on which immigration agent you get.
      if they ask you for an onward ticket and you tell them, "i haven't booked it yet." it begs the question, "why not? you knew you needed it as part of entry to the PH." in my opinion the whole onward ticket requirement is pointless, but it is the policy for entry to the PH.

    • @nictoo49
      @nictoo49 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ok Tnx …. From my understanding, they do not check your passport when you exit the Philippines to see if you actually have a stamp for the country. You supposedly went to within the first 29 days to qualify for injury or exit.

      vietnamese... language barrier and not into age-gap relationships. so plan on dating one over 35 who has low english ability. however, most vietnamese women are slender and enjoy dressing nice in heels and dresses.
      filipinas... about 85% proficient in english, so that's a huge plus. much more playful than viet women. highly romantic but also highly emotional. many do put on some weight after they get past 35.

      it's really a case by case basis on this. my wife, for instance, has always been opposed to leaving the PH. she's never had any interest in living in any other country.
      but other filipinas are eager to leave the PH. not all, but many. so it's something you should inquire about with any filipina you might get serious about.

      plus, we're talking about maybe a 3 to 5 minute interaction. talking for half an hour.. yah, that'd catch some attention.

    Good motivation video but your percentage doesn't make sense. You say in 11 years only 3 of them said no? So where are all the married women or the ones with a boyfriend? Are they all just going to hid that and go out with you anyways?

    • @Lifebeyondthesea
      @Lifebeyondthesea  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      essentially, yes. remember that i wasn't asking out random women. i wasn't asking women to meet for a date who were married. i was asking Filipinas mostly in the 20 to 25 range. i've always said to observe a woman a few minutes before approaching her. if i saw she had a husband or b/f, i'd move on.
      in the beginning, i used to ask a filipina, "so.. you have boyfriend?" and i too was shocked that 99% said, 'No'.. no b/f. so i asked other filipinas about it and that's when it became clear from them that they were just dumping the filipino b/f for an expat. it was no-contest for most filipinas as a decision.

    99% of Filipinas either have boyfriends or husbands, or they’re single mothers. Then it becomes a moral issue if it’s worth it to pursue further even though the relationship is consensual, especially if you’re not serious. Not to mention the economic motive involved with these types of dating.

      since 2012, it would be simpler to count the ones i did not take home. (all the rest of them chose to be intimate.)
      thinking back on it, there was one who held out at the last moment saying she was a virgin and would only be intimate if we got married first. like, get married that week. so i respected that, parted as friends, but i went on to date other women again.
      i also knew a filipina who became a really good friend. she had no interest in dating anybody, filipino or foreigner. we didn't "date".. we just hung out as good friends. i struggle to even think of any others who turned down intimacy.

  • @djakko_
    @djakko_ 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I don't think it's a question of Filipinas wanting to date and go out with foreigners. Foreigners will get stares and attention mostly due to curiosity on the Filipina's part. Not many Filipinas want to have a relationship with a foreigner.

    8:40 She is smiling at you, but after learning that you don't have a wife, "she has an even bigger smile on her face." 🤣🤣
    14:55 There is not point asking her if she has a boyfriend, because she'll dump the boyfriend in her mind if you ask her out. That is so sad. At 10:51, the girl admits to having a boyfriend after deciding she was better off staying with him [maybe another ex-pat?] than switching over to you. On the ex-pat side, he is also playing many candidates as possible. How fickle and cynical the dating scene is on both sides . . . . As a male ex-pat genuinely wanting a relationship on a limited time budget, how can one quickly screen out such girls?

    • @Lifebeyondthesea
      @Lifebeyondthesea  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      quickly?? not possible. assessing a stranger's character takes time and observation. there is no shortcut to knowing a person's inner motives apart from seeing how they handle real life on a consistent basis over time.
      taking shortcuts, or using "blind faith" is how these expat horror stories always begin.

    I really like the wisdom in your videos. But once in a while, you make a claim without giving a sentence on why the claim is true. For example, in this video you say that the ratio is 100:1 Filipinas:expats/men without saying anything about where all the Filipino guys are. How can so many Filipinas be on the loose when birth rates are about even 1:1 in a country? You made me laugh at the idea of trying to manage more than three at a time---it's hard enough to manage one! :-) And it's too bad that they all want the weekend - that creates a serialization conflict that makes all the threads collide during that time interval. I imagine if they all know where you live, they'll all be watching for who you leave with for the weekend. Does it help any if you tell them up front that you're a "chicks boy"? Will they cut you some slack on the weekend time slot? I'm still smiling at the thought (although I wouldn't be smiling in the heat of the moment with a jealous Filipina... 😞
