Fished near Red's Place many many times as a kid. Great Browns and Brookies. Hardly ever saw anyone in the 60's. Fishing there is good but not like it was.... Nice video!
Ron, this video was shot a private ranch in Colorado. I understand in Colorado it is somewhat difficult to find public waters. Recommend you check with local fly shops to get info on where you can fish
More corporate-led fishing. Too many people--with guerilla combat--all over the west has ruined the great fishing that once existed. It's a joke now. But the manufacturers have to sell their stuff.
Thing a ma bobber on still to slow moving water ?? Good luck with that on real streams . You will spook em every time that it splats on the water . Do an instructional vid under real conditions . CO has fantastic fishing all over the state ... if you want real conditions for flyfishing . Private water with a guide ??? Give me a break !!!
Scott Hill a fish is a freaking fish! They put up a good fight, and not everyone can go 5 hours for one small cutthroat. I bet you don’t like fishing with chubbies either, you purist. Open your eyes to modern fly fishing. And these are real conditions, by the way.
I've had success with thing a ma bobbers in the smaller sizes but only in the faster water. In slow water it's hard to even get a good drift and that's when the dry fly shines.
really a picture perfect trout stream and not crowded full of people thats the best part
because it is private water
Like the colours on that Cutthroat Trout. Obviously it helps to have another person spot for you.

Used to fish the Laramie and LA when I was at CSU. Thanks!
Wait you know what river this is?
Awesome video! I don't think the purists will like it, but if you've ever fished with a chubby, you're going to like this video.
Bill Spicer has "Cut his teeth" in every different type of fly fishing in every episode he hosts.
Bill travels a great deal and just like the show title, "The New Fly Fisher" we are always learning!
Looked like a raceway rainbow
Is spring creek / small creek fishing only accessible by paying a fee?

What streams?
These streams run through Rawah Ranch, so you would have to check with them for the names. It was a number of years ago that we visited
Totally sucks that people use tailing gloves. Scott should know better

Rude comment.
Totally agree Scott private water with stocked fish. Try fishing somebody seconds and thirds
Nasty chubby stockers in the creek. No sport at all- not "outstanding." Those cutthroat were beautiful.
A fish is a fish!
