Ooh, that gives me an idea. Someone could get a picture of the desktop and use it on the desktop, and take everything off the actual desktop, then call a scammer. so much desktop old comment
still. yes, i am sorry, but i am one of those sad creatures for whom English is a second language, but i can not tolerate axe instead of ask, and so goes for dextop. otherwise, keep up the good work on putting those scammers into their rightful place in the trash.
I've been watching since yesterday, Love it, can't get enough of it. I've had a call like that too in the past, just told them straight that they are scammers :D Keep up the good work
Dettweiler Probably so. It's quite rare to see someone who honestly believes what they are doing is legitimate (sadly it's usually the women who work at these call centers most often who feel that way) but to see someone who is this adamant about it, I'm surprised!
Having been exposed though - he immediately goes onto the attack with bad language, that's a sure sign that someone knows they have been caught out doing something they shouldn't be doing - he doesn't believe a word of what he is saying - otherwise he would try to defend himself.
Because to someone who doesn't know computers that well all the errors and warnings in the event viewer could look like wiruses even though they're harmless. As for the cmd commands they use tree because A: it takes really long and gives the scammer a chance to type his fake wiruses found message, and B: because to the untrained eye it could look like a scan.
Because these scams are supposed to work on people who know NOTHING about coumputers :P. If you can be duped into calling them chanses are you have no idea how anything in the pc works so what they do will seem legit. As for anyone who can use a pc good enough to know that what they are doing is retarded wouldn't even call them in the first place.
Awesome video as usual! Love the editing, makes it a lot more fun to watch! Im from India and I find it really annoying and sad how these people take advantage of others. Looking forward to more, Lewis!
A scammer's thought: 1. Act like a professional and do chkdsk or something 2. Convince the victim 3. Pretend to fix the problem 4. Payment 5. "Sissykey"
dammit man, you almost killed me. i was eating when i started this vid and completely lost it when i saw your wallpaper - laughed so hard i almost suffocated :D
I was thinking that too. I wonder if that is why he cut off the call a little earlier than normal so he was still connected. Not that he would do anything with that of course.
Lewis would have noticed it, since not only was he the one there , but he was also the one editing the video, and you can see that at that time he also cuts that part out for some reason. I wonder if he will actually do anything about it though. This is a good reason why to always have a keylogger running when they are accessing a system. For some reason this comment thread seems bugged. I can only see the 2 comments above mine, not the other 4 posts above. Quite strange.
The password that the scammer entered was only 2 characters, so it should be extremely easy to login to. No police service cares about when these scammers get hacked, so there should be no risks.
+Lewis's Tech You are one gutsy person. I absolutely love the way that you stick it to the scammers. I can't wait to see more of these morons exposed. Thanks and keep 'em coming.
Hey, Lewis! Just a quick thought... When they try to put syskey on, you should pause your VM. It would piss them off so much more if they couldn't use their last resort and I think it would be absolutely hilarious (even if it's just for one video)!
It might be incase someone has a website ratings addon (Such as WOT or McAfee SiteAdvisor) which could go off, which could make the person suspicious, which could be especially bad as the scammer almost has their money. I doubt that it is incase it can be infected, as browsers cannot be badly infected (The only risk is thing such as keyloggers already on the computer), all malware can really do is make popups open. These scammers are unlikely to even encounter a real virus, as viruses are much more discrete now, and it is usually a browser popup or a fake system utilities program which asks people to call a customer support number.
Well, I watch videos with my tablet, which for some reason after a TH-cam update, doesn't play 720p videos (it tops out at 360p). Thus I can't read small letters and I blame it on TH-cam.
This guy spent damn near 7 minutes telling Lewis, over and over again that he had hackers, virus etc... without doing anything about it. I said to myself, "hurry up and get to the point, already - I get it!"
I had a similar thing happen when I got DNS Unlocker for a second time. The second time, I knew what to do to fix my DNS but I called support anyway. Pretty funny response when I just went in and fixed it myself.
So there is this thing called a system update. Its pretty amazing actually! So if you are on... Lets say windows 8. You can press a button that says "update" and BOOM windows 10! Magic! It blew my mind!
"It doesn't give a shit to me."
I was just about to comment that when I saw this ^^.
Can you grammar like I does?
+PrintGeek3D same here

Tech support scammer VS. fake poput wallpaper?
There's an option to enable the wallpaper on Teamviewer.
Ooh, that gives me an idea. Someone could get a picture of the desktop and use it on the desktop, and take everything off the actual desktop, then call a scammer.
so much desktop
old comment
You should have replaced cmd.exe with memz so when he tried to open the command prompt the virus started up.
Orn Free Taa that would be ninja as fk xD
That-s Eeeeeeeevil. Love it.
'the level of infections is very high'
"It doesn't give a shit to me" may be my new go to line. Lol.

I've had a call like that too in the past, just told them straight that they are scammers :D
Keep up the good work
LMFAO He argued with you on what DIR and TREE are? Holy hell that's a new one!
The guy probably just believes what he's been told to believe. He may not know that he's lying.
Dettweiler

So funny to watch this as a programmer and someone who is proficient with computers, love your channel dude. Keep it up.
does every scammer always use the same tactics? windows + R, event viewer cmd etc. You expect by now they would get a bit smarter.

I love the ones where you give them a virus! Keep it up! You help victims feel like they are getting something back! You’re a great person.
You know he is a scammer when he reads of Wikipedia
Ikr 😂 like does the scammer think it would seem legit
When "Tech support" references Wikipedia, you know he's a scammer.
I've yet to hear an Indian scammer utter the words "oh my god" in way even approaching semblance of believability.
You should conntact the person that made the MEMz virus and get the actual one. Then connect it to start with task manager.
I think he will do a TrollRAT video
indeed, a trollRAT wideo will come soon.
Lewis's Tech
Did you got it to compile on your own?
+Leurak whoa the actual Leurak!
As long as it's a wirus, I'm in.
Awesome video as usual! Love the editing, makes it a lot more fun to watch! Im from India and I find it really annoying and sad how these people take advantage of others. Looking forward to more, Lewis!
"Your computer is very infected, so let me just give you my name".

"dir /s" shows all the sub-directories.
This is the best site for looking up NT commands...

Great video Lewis keep up the good work, and wow your channel is growing so much ive been here since around 2k
I like it when you trash a scammers network. Takes them out of business for several days at least. Need more of that!
"I am not wasting my time, I am wasting *your* time"
hahahaha
dammit man, you almost killed me. i was eating when i started this vid and completely lost it when i saw your wallpaper - laughed so hard i almost suffocated :D
That phone number is for an Office Depot now? 😂
Just because of the fact that you called them with their own number I just had to subscribe. What a total G
The scammer connected on his account, do you (Lewis) still have access to his website control panel ? (At 11:10)
I was thinking that too. I wonder if that is why he cut off the call a little earlier than normal so he was still connected. Not that he would do anything with that of course.
You can't bump TH-cam comments. Only likes affect the rankings (The dislike button does absolutely nothing to comments).
See this
Lewis would have noticed it, since not only was he the one there , but he was also the one editing the video, and you can see that at that time he also cuts that part out for some reason.

We need an “Okay?” Counter 🤣
The guy was like: Houston we have a problem: IT'S A WORM.
props to the scammer for making absolute bullshit sound almost legit tho
Love your videos mate! The evolution of the pronunciation of certain words is fucking hilarious.
+Lewis's Tech You are one gutsy person. I absolutely love the way that you stick it to the scammers. I can't wait to see more of these morons exposed. Thanks and keep 'em coming.
"Did you realise that I'm calling you from your own number" lol
I love listening to those idiots on the other end still trying to convince you even though you told them it was a scam
You are getting good at cutting these videos. Thanks! Much nicer to watch an 15min video instead of 45! Good work. :)
"Oh no. That sounds horrible* that sarcastic asf tone.
"Some malicious links have some mailicioun in them"🙏😂😂
Turn on captions at 1:00 and read them for the rest of the vid it can't read the accent right and one line was "Romeo gets a nickel"
I am a Sheep Romeo gets a nickel.
Hey, Lewis! Just a quick thought... When they try to put syskey on, you should pause your VM. It would piss them off so much more if they couldn't use their last resort and I think it would be absolutely hilarious (even if it's just for one video)!

I love joel
"And when it's free, it's good"
Leafyisnt Aj KUP TERAZ
He killing me "Your client license service!"
Why do all these scammers use html help? Just because it can't be infected like browsers can?
I guess they think it makes them look more legit to someone who doesn't know much about computers.
It might be incase someone has a website ratings addon (Such as WOT or McAfee SiteAdvisor) which could go off, which could make the person suspicious, which could be especially bad as the scammer almost has their money.

Because it has NO security whatsoever.
They do it so you can't tamper with their shit
+rbx old ooooooh! Makes sense
"I'm not wasting my time, I'm wasting your time and you deserve it." -- Brilliant.
Still more support than from Niantic.
lol the conflict of the words scam and scan near the end with British and Indian accents was beautiful
holy shit this guy is energetic...any word he says sounds like he just won the lottery
Wow, that was priceless. Glad i found this channel!
I'm at work watching and a scammer actually calls just now trying to use anydesk lol I had to fuck with him 😂😂😂😂😂😂
"There's nothing wrong with it"
Yeah, except for the fact that if you reboot it you will just see a nyan cat
nope the MEMZ virus does that, completely fucks your pc. see joel's windows 10 destruction.
If you look at his dextop, you can see a MEMZ Clean.exe
It's the clean version, there is no Nyan Cat.
Well, I watch videos with my tablet, which for some reason after a TH-cam update, doesn't play 720p videos (it tops out at 360p).
Thus I can't read small letters and I blame it on TH-cam.
the owner of it legit just said its the clean version...
This guy spent damn near 7 minutes telling Lewis, over and over again that he had hackers, virus etc... without doing anything about it. I said to myself, "hurry up and get to the point, already - I get it!"
"It just shows the directories on the computer"
"YES IT IS DIRECT SCAN!"
fucking lost it
This scammer speaks faster than a TV commercial announcer!
I WAS ON A LEWISSTECH MARATHON AND I SAW THIS I WAS LIKE YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
If I knew nothing about computers except how to open the web browser and watch youtube, this guy would sound pretty legit lol
"The level of infections is very high, so here's my name" XD
This is a great public service. Thank you!
Lewis: 1,399, is that meant to be higher or lower
Scammer: *YES SIR*
13:57 - "You're a muddarchod" LMAO XD I died when you said that!
you go brother I'm glad we're able to fight back! keep on doing these. fuck those scammers!
Damn you're growing really fast Lewis, you were 30k like 2 weeks ago.
Congrats
Good luck for your Exam Results on the 25th Lewis!
“I called you from your own number, did you not notice that !” Pmsfl
dir /s while typing "malware found" and hitting enter a few times with it was scrolling was clever LOL
I had a similar thing happen when I got DNS Unlocker for a second time. The second time, I knew what to do to fix my DNS but I called support anyway. Pretty funny response when I just went in and fixed it myself.
There's some amazing persistence from this guy when you rumbled him! Really different

This scammer had the best microphone I've ever heard in a scamming video.
Great stuff man, I'm in IT and I enjoy your videos. Keep it up. You have a good theme going on this channel. Great idea.
Love how he argued it until his last breath
>points at firefox
>calls it mozilla
**triggered**
I enjoyed this wish I had seen it before yesterday. Subscribed :)
What programming language were those message boxes, crosses and shit coded in?
Scammer: Do you use Firefox?
Me: No I use Coldcat

How old is this computer?
2 years old...
Windows 10 is 1 year old, fool!
+MinecraftMaster 1 ever heard of an upgrade lol
Should've thought of that, I wonder if this was an upgrade from Windows 8.1 or just installed on a VM...
You are blind. And don't understand this.
Aren't you seeing the VM? Why would you destroy your personal computer with memz god
Tova Holmberger makes sense but he was using the clean version
A few of the scammers are fefusing Skype calls.... Spoilsports.. !!
I spoof my phone number and put a random one. There so mad at me
one of the reasons I made an asterisk number and call them from their own (spoofed) number :P
Levis: hi I've got an issue with my computer
Scammer: so are you facing an issue with your computer?
Levis: yes
😂😂
windows 10 isn't even 2 years old XD
So there is this thing called a system update. Its pretty amazing actually! So if you are on... Lets say windows 8. You can press a button that says "update" and BOOM windows 10! Magic! It blew my mind!
+Monsieur Varos i loved the video! Lewis is the greatest on youtube right now haha
+Monsieur Varos i meant that this is entertaining
+Monsieur Varos yeah probably. But first i need to learn some computer languages, like python or C++
The funny thing is the Professional Technician didn't even notice.
Uh...how do you zoom in parts of the video without zooming in the rest like at 9:20? What software made this video?
The scammers are getting wise to skype calls now. They ask for a landline number and then call you back on it... Baa Humbug...
"It doesn't give a shit to me"-Loyal 2016

“ITS NOT A SCAN, SCNNIN ITS NOT A SCAM” -Scammer

"E as in echo."
Sounds like he likes batch files.
Can anybody tell me how Rakesh stopped the Memz for a while because for him to do that he could seriously get a job at A LEGIT Tech Support.
I've only ever seen English people make these kinds of videos. But its so fucking funny with the accents lol.
Hey Lewis, what was that box with buttons you used to change the mouse cursor and add pop-ups?
