    I always thought a magnetic mat should be used below and then small magnets in the corner to keep slipping down for the paper.

      Magnets are great. Using a sheet of metal and some fairly robust magnets on top of the frame is a very good method of keeping things exactly where you want them without too much hassle.

    What is that yellow tape looking stuff that was put down before you did the second gear outside of the taped down gear? Not sure how that held down the first gear.

      It is a kind of masking tape that I like. It is in a loop on the bottom of the gear to hold it to the paper.

    Is this video made with the Compact Set? I'm thinking of buying that.

      The Compact Gear Set can make designs very much like this one. The Compact Gear Set does not include the 40 toothed gear but does have many gears of similar size which are quite nice.
