This is great. Ren freestyling on some. With a little bit of love, is a garage song in England from the 90s/2000s. The Ren and Big Push rabbit hole is a good one.
The last song they do is called "Bigger Than Hip Hop" by Dead Prez, an underground hip hop duo from the late 90's that had, and still do have, a pretty dedicated following amongst hip-hop purists. They did a lot of activism in and around NY, and a lot of their music was social justice type songs. I'm pretty sure that Ren is doing the actual lyrics from this song. Seen these guys live around Brighton many times, they're amazing and your reaction was fun to watch. Obviously you know about Ren, but both Gorran Kendall (bass) and Romain Axisa (black guitar) have their own channels with solo work. I second giving Tom another go. His topics go from addiction (I don't drink), self doubt, depression (Balloons), juxtaposed with massive and lyrically and technical top notch flexing (Boom Bap 101, No Response), to Hi-Ren style self reflection (Best Rapper Ever) and plain silly and fun songs like Buttholes and "political" bangers like Sheeple, The System and Brainwashed. I understand if his music doesn't grab your balls, but as a musician, you should be able to appreciate his crazy skills at his instrument. Which ever song you pick, I'll be notified, and with #HOG, so will the entire Hang Over Gang who live for reactions to Tom MacDonald... #HOGArmy #HOGfam
Busking is an all demographic activity….I was referring to all the ppl with Bohemian styles in attendance regardless of the year they were born…..it’s a sign that a band has grassroots appeal if their audience has a ‘look’ to them. Thanks for the suggestion!

Check out wade in the water from the big push!!
Not only the cool kids on other busking session you can see an older generation 😉
Busking is an all demographic activity….I was referring to all the ppl with Bohemian styles in attendance regardless of the year they were born…..it’s a sign that a band has grassroots appeal if their audience has a ‘look’ to them. I could’ve made that point more clearly so thanks for pointing that out!!
its a cover from Dead Prez - Hip Hop
Thanks
Thank’s Mike 😊 Englishman in New York is really good .
That’s definitely coming! Thanks for watching!
Ren is so versatile
I haven’t seen his limitations yet….I’m inclined to believe you!
Thanks for watching! I appreciate it
I saw someone commented about how they record and mix , Im too lazy to find it , but theres definitely some post production going on
It would be interesting to know cause it works!!
The other heavily referenced track is DJ Luck & MC Neat, with a little bit of luck
I’ll check it out thanks
What do you mean by referenced?
Judging by their numbers they haven’t broken yet…..
@@michaelgoyettemusic the lyrics at the 8.55 mark on you video are from the UK Garage track released by Luck and Neat in 1999
I’m surprised you don’t seem to have been asked to react to ren, hi ren. Would love to see it. Anyway I subbed just in case you do.
I’ve seen it already but I could easily re-enact my initial reaction by gazing at the screen with my jaw dropped open!? :)
@@michaelgoyettemusic why not ? That's what most of the others end up doing .
Seriously tho, I like your idea of focusing on the music and composition. Far as I know its not been properly done yet
