I watched this before I went in. I pretty much got everything you suggested. The only thing I never needed was the pads. I never had any vaginal bleeding after surgery and my first cycle was not so bad. I guess everyone is different. Thanks you made my recovery in the hospital comfortable. Did the open myomectomy 10.14.22. Almost 3 weeks.

Aaaw!! I had an abdominal myomectomy. Worst pain ever afterward. Having your abdominal muscles pulled open and being cut and stitched up is PAINFUL! I got pneumonia after surgery from them putting the tube down my throat ( I think). I know I didn’t have it going on, so it made my recovery in the hospital go from 3-4 days to 8. Ughh! If I can get a non invasive procedure to get rid of the rest I will go that route. They cut me straight up, vertically. I didn’t want panties on me. I kept using the gauzy hospital ones. The gas was the worst pain as well. I’d advise having a back rest. I HAD to use that waist brace. My mom told me to wear it when I left the hospital and I didn’t . I thought I was going to DIE of pain on the ride home, everytime that the truck hit a bump or any friction on the road. It really helped keep everything from jiggling , which was EXCRUCIATING when anything did! It’s very useful at times.

7:12 Hi Dawn...they have a black packet of Kotex night time Maxi which you can use during the day. They are better than the white packet. Also they are brilliant for a heavier flow which work really well. I use them and they are excellent. I usually purchase them from Superdrug or the Pound shop. Wishing you all the best with your surgery and I'm keeping you in my prayers. Bless you..xxx

6 years ago I was diagnosed with fibroids. I didn’t want surgery or to lose my uterus and I didn’t want to take medication for the rest of my life. I started eating fruits, vegetables and drinking more water for 90 days no coffee, tea, sugar, and dairy products. I also started walking every day. My fibroids have shrinkage and cured after the 90 days. I still can’t believe the doctor said I was going to be on medication long term for the pain and to have surgery to remove the fibroid. Even if you are having surgery just remember that you are not alone on this journey!!

This is awesome. However, this won't work for everyone. My fibroids developed while I was a vegan, and I had been vegan for around 7 years. I ate healthy and exercised and I still got them.

Straight away hun. I just covered the area with plastic bags so it couldn’t get wet 😂. The dressing is water proof but not that water proof if you get what I mean.

Large panties , don't use waist trainers or belly bands , Large comfortable clothing to sleep in while recovering, No jeans , high waisted leggings for comfort from hospital to home, you need to be up and moving bowels need to move so walking is essential, have slippers , huge packs , windies for bloating trap wind , soften stool because constipation happens,3m charging cable for phone .
