  • -So much going on these 2 weeks!
    -Website Image updated!
-Some Haul stuff included as well, including some promos!
-Large Plates done and selling already!
1x1 Round Bricks done (Over 4100 of them!) - not sure if any have started to sell yet!
-Sales have been SOFT, as of the uploading of this on 6/24 I have missed SIX days in June for having an order every day, the worst month for that by far in a Long time, probably nearly a year! Though, one Big order of over 6K parts - all 1x1 round plates and tiles came in!
LOTS of sorting progress, the person coming over on Wednesdays is doing Great, and a new person was here for the first time to sort on the 20th! I also have word that one of my off-site sorters is done with what they had!
-And because of that, I have started to Wash more - which has led to - more water in the basement! This was, as it turns out, completely a ME problem, and it has now been solved.

Hello Doug i am so sorry about your water issues, i know a few resellers who as soon as they get items in stock place them into plastic tubs to keep them clean and DRY , i know sometimes you would not be able to place some items in plastic tubs but you could make sure any cardboard boxes are off the ground and this should help save whatever is inside them. Anyway good to see your store growing keep it up

      @DOTUBricks  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Yup, pretty much most of everything is off the floor directly anyway. The couple of cardboard boxes that got hit just had simple stuff in it, and 4 were just unopened boxes with more white drawer units in them.
Thanks, I keep putting in effort!

You're the second Lego person I've seen have a flood this past week. It's definitely making me rethink the addition we're talking about adding on to our house. We might be building up instead of finishing the basement. We have had water in our current basement a few times and it's a nightmare. We have a French drain already. The water issues are not fun so I can totally empathize what a pain it is. Hopefully, you've resolved it. We have a similar pump system for our laundry in the basement and the pump has taken a nap more than once. Not fun!

The second one? Who was the first? Do they have a TH-cam channel?
Additions can be good, if they work! For me, I have the French Drain out back, AND an interior perimeter of the basement drainage system that leads to one or the other (Whichever is closer) of the 2 sump pumps I have. Has your pump failed, or just intermittently stopped working? So far I have had no issues, but it is also used less than a laundry pump would be used. And honestly, I have Also considered whether or not I could ever build Up as well!

@@DOTUBricks Matticus Bricks was the first flood. I just saw that he had another flood. I can't imagine the stress. I've had a flood in the past and it's just not fun.
Our pump for the laundry sink just stopped working one time. No idea why. We ordered a replacement pump because we can't do laundry without it. It's worked fine since the new pump arrived. I can't wait to remodel so we can move the laundry out of the basement. After 12 years, I'm over it. We are really rethinking of finishing the basement in the addition we want and building up instead. One wet winter and the finished basement could be doomed. Doesn't seem like a risk worth taking. Saving one's sanity maybe the better way to go.

@happyscrapbooker1712 I will have to look into that. My minifig guy Ben knows Matticus Bricks, I'm surprised he did not mention any flood, as he was here within 30 minutes of when it happened here, and helped me with a couple of things.

Hello uncle Doug! good that water problem already solved and hope not much more damages done especially things on your floor inside a carton box or paper bag. Large plates done, nice! Super cool Space Research rover! Me and Amara really like that set to have! It is really cool!

Thank you so much, to Both you and Amara! I was panicking when it happened, but as I was IN the basement and Heard t he water flowing over the side, I was able to stop it pretty quickly! I think for now, my plan will be to BE in the basement when I run Lego through the wash, just so I can be quick to react!

Ohh! Sorry to hear that about the water again down there. And good to see it's already fixed because it can be a serious problem and it takes additional time for you to focus too and hope it will not happen again. Good to see orders keep coming and a lot of things on plan to do next including that interesting contest you had in mind. Nice Vlog Doug!

Thank you. It was Very thankfully a minor problem in the grand scheme of things. And no, that Specific problem should not happen again! Order Do keep coming in, but June is Not a great month overall. I have missed sales on 6 days Already this month, and it is only the 27th! I could hit 10 days! LOL

I know this is a Bricklink store but I can't wait till my personal parts collection looks like this😂

Well, maybe? It may be a goal, but that is a LOT of space, taken up by the parts, and not displaying anything or having a work area! Thank you t hough, I am enjoying building out my store!

I'd love to have your backlog. LOL!
FYI. It was teacher Christa McAuliffe who died in the Challenger explosion. Sally Ride was the first American woman to fly in space (and third in the world). After she landed, she was asked what it was like, to which she replied, "Definitely an E Ticket!" She died of cancer in 2012.

@@DOTUBricks no problem. The Challenger disaster is sort of etched on brain because, the morning it happened, I had woken from a dream where I was reading a news article about McAuliffe. Then the next thing I see after getting out of bed was footage of the explosion.

Hello! Lets see, the one I Use more does not seem to have any branding on it. But, a quick Google search brought me to it, on Amazon (Even told me when I last bought it!) I will say, when looking at different ones, pay CLOSE attention to the sensitivity level... The first one I bought was accurate to (I think .1 ounces) and the one I have now is accurate to .1 grams. HOWEVER, note the units - grams are a lots lighter than ounces, so the second one is much more accurate!
