This channel is mostly dedicated to things Lego, either things I collect, like, dislike or build etc. Also, there is a Lot of content surrounding my Bricklink store, DOTU Bricks.
This is a family friendly channel, and I will not have people using profane language, either directly, or by using characters to cover up their actions. There are plenty of places where you can talk like that, though I wonder how many of those doing so here, would do so around their parents or children.

That is an amazing feeling watching the Air show! I also like the build of the airplanes in your display!.Looks like Kiko also want to build a lego set hihi! Very beautiful combination of colors in that mini dolls part order. Tiring day because of Camp but it is really fun 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yeah, it was a fun time! Many Many airplanes in the displays! Silly Kiko, Lego is for Humans! Well, I am glad that you are having a lot of fun at camp!
@@DOTUBricks does Kiko or Pango already bite a lego pieces? Yes, lot of fun in camp but today i did not play a lot. Display of Airplanes, you mean real airplanes not the one you and your friends Lego Display? Sharing one funny thing, everytime me and Amara saw an airplane in the sky or heard an airplane or even helicopter we are waving our hands towards them hihi! as even we know they cannot see us waving hihi! Hope to ride an airplane again soon, Japan hihi! before we are able to ride local flight here i was still very young
No, neither of them bother with the parts like that really. One of them (not sure which) did get a hold of one part, and chew on it, but it was not the standar plastic type, it was more rubbery. Pango has a problem chewing on plastic wrap though, like the things that seal a new product or similar. So we have to watch him for that. There were a lot of real airplanes . Maybe next year I will walk around more and get some footage of more planes on the ground. It is a grass airfield, so some planes cant land there, but the older ones that were designed for that can. I mostly enjoy flying, but some of the delays can be annoying when they happen.
@@DOTUBricks oh Pago likes to chew on Plastic!! oh my careful on your packages always. That will be cool, next year i want to see that more airplanes 😄 Earlier we saw a helicopter here and always me and Amara wave to it hihi! Delays can be annoying for sure. For sure you already travel a lot in your country or outside your country?
Sorry for the delay in a further reply - I do not travel as much now, but I Have been to Sydney to help open a Borders store when they were open, and expanding into foreign markets. That was a blast.
Hi Doug! Thanks for sharing the clips from the air show. It is too loud there from the ground for sure and it was so cool watching that jet fighter flying, i was thinking of the movie Top Gun while watching that part of the Vlog and it was perfect weather for the air show. Good to see orders keep coming but sad as order per day hits by Jul 15, hopefully Aug will hit the order per day. Your LUG kit also looks so cool!
It was Very loud at points! But the funny part is, the sound seems to be coming from Behind the F-22, as it is going so fast! The weather was really nice, even if a bit warm for me! And thanks, we enjoy making cool kits!
@@DOTUBricks Heh! That's funny! I've seen a video before, at least 3 or 4 jet fighters I don't know if it's a jet fighter but there is colorful smokes coming out of it while they are doing their air show. Did you guys consider submitting a design set in Lego? Just curious too 😊
Some of the members are considering doing something via Lego Ideas. But, it is not the easiest to get done!
@@DOTUBricks That is what i am thinking to say, Lego ideas. Yes, i know it's hard. Before me and Xianne get to know about the Lego ideas, we think about creating Philippine Jeepney. It is an iconic public transportation here and now there is an ongoing Jeepney modernization program here and the iconic look of our traditional Jeepney will be gone and will be replaced by a modern look mini bus. When we realize how we can create a MOC that we will remember how we build plus the parts we drop the idea of making one heh
I would be curious to see any pictures you have of this Jeepney, as I am not sure what it is!
I am from the Netherlands and I love watching your videos! I have a question: Do you pay the people who help you with Lego sorting and other tasks? Also, what is the 'log' you often mention, and what is an order from a log member?
Thanks for watching! It is always neat to hear from people around the world that appreciate what I do! As for paying them, I generally provide them with first choice of parts they are sorting, as well as access to my pre-listed parts. So far, everyone seems good with getting parts! And the 'log' you mention is actually a 'LUG" - Lego User Group - and I am a member of the local one, so they are other members. I also offer a discount to LUG members in my store, and perhaps free shipping if an order can be arranged to be delivered at a LUG meeting or other event.
@@DOTUBricks Thank you so much for the answers! Keep up the great videos!
10 dollars worth of crap 🤣🤣🤣
I honestly thought there was considerable more value there than the $10!
It's because of people like you, that children can't get sets on sale. You rob KIDS!
So this is why i cant get anything on sale at target. Great.
I doubt my purchases impact your ability to purchase at Target directly, Plorf. Also, what I bought was about 1/4 or less of the total variety of sets that were available. And you really do need to be on top of things like that. I went to a CVS location yesterday because of some sale prices I had heard about, and they were completely wiped out of anything I would have considered. I was just too late in going. Nobody to blame but myself.
Hi! the kit you are mentioning for what event you will be using it? nice to see you are so busy with your store sorting, arranging and also orders. 🥰🥰
Thank you as always Xianne! As for the kit, we assembled one of a military style helicopter, and we will have that at the Geneseo Air Show!
@@DOTUBricks you are welcome 😀 wow! Helicopter! excited to see a build of it soon! oooh are you showing one of it that is built? We are still in summer vacation and still waiting for new school year starts. i would love to join some activities but i dont know if i can 😄 i miss some of classmates too and best friend
A very busy week and sounds like a very busy week again! Cool! Maybe the green round tiles they are working on a Hulk Mosaic? Who knows? Heh! Love the great deals you get on those lego sets at target! And that mat was very detailed, impressive!
You never know what people are making I say! Only Very rarely have I gotten messages from people with pics of what they have built!
@@DOTUBricks yes. And sometimes it is good to guess when i am watching your vlog what could be the one who ordered those pieces is building. Forgot to say earlier good that orders keep coming!
How do u keep getting these bins
Well, this was a Short for the same haul that you commented on the full haul video, so it is not two different hauls!
How did u find a bucket of lego
Well, I walked into the Goodwill, and saw it there behind their counter! Admittedly, you really have to go to the thrift stores often to get these types of deals.
@@DOTUBricks thanks man this really helps
Those 3 red skirts order is almost definitely for the Pretorian guards that came in the newest moff Gideon set along with the trans parts for their weapons and the black skirt will be used to make "Smilo Ren" from acolyte Edit: I only say tgis cause I'm doing the same thing
Certainly possible. Sometimes I can take an educated guess as to what people will do with the parts, and sometimes it is pretty much a complete mystery!
I got the dreamzzz sets and the marvel Hoopty set all at 50% off. First time I found clearance since I got back into Lego almost 5 years ago
Good deal! I do not think I saw the Hoopty among sale sets this time around myself. These things seem to vary some by location.
neat, a '78 grangemouth brick, the best officially unofficial lego brick, ive collected a fair few of them over the years and have amassed 85 grangemouth bricks in my collection without breaking the bank thanks to knowing where to look and what to look for
Thanks, and congrats on your collection! I probably will not find any more is my guess. Too many people know too much about them! But I will cherish my one!
To answer your question, I love me some purple Lego! Well, purple anything really haha. Great vlog as usual! Keep up the good work 👏👍🙌
DING DING! You are the FIRST person to answer the secret question! 7 weeks now! Purple really IS a great color! Thank you, and I will do my best to keep it coming!

Thank you so much, I am glad you enjoyed it!
woaaah! That is a lot of Lego dots hihi! ice items you got in that unboxing video part! you got a speaker and headset! so cool! Yessss! order at 1st of July and keep going! and hope it really keeps going!
Yeah, it is.... Maybe it will be a mistake, but we will see! And so far, still at least one order a day! (As of the 3rd!)
@@DOTUBricks yeeyyyyyy! 😃😃
Yeah that bag of DOTS is a dream!
Hi Doug! It is good to see things getting organized as that is a great feeling being accomplished 😀 as clearing more space for other things. I love your new shirt! Pretty cool! And the unboxing part of the box of cart is so nice! More than worth the value!
Thanks! I was pretty happy with the t-shirt! And yeah, I was impressed with the selection of stuff from that BOC!
@@DOTUBricks you're welcome! Planning to do another BOC purchase? Is that available anytime to purchase?
@@markzapanta4292 No, sadly only at random, unannounced times. And they usually go FAST!
Hello uncle Doug! good that water problem already solved and hope not much more damages done especially things on your floor inside a carton box or paper bag. Large plates done, nice! Super cool Space Research rover! Me and Amara really like that set to have! It is really cool!
Thank you so much, to Both you and Amara! I was panicking when it happened, but as I was IN the basement and Heard t he water flowing over the side, I was able to stop it pretty quickly! I think for now, my plan will be to BE in the basement when I run Lego through the wash, just so I can be quick to react!
@@DOTUBricks Youre welcome! agree that is better to be in there when you are washing the lego to be sure 😃
You're the second Lego person I've seen have a flood this past week. It's definitely making me rethink the addition we're talking about adding on to our house. We might be building up instead of finishing the basement. We have had water in our current basement a few times and it's a nightmare. We have a French drain already. The water issues are not fun so I can totally empathize what a pain it is. Hopefully, you've resolved it. We have a similar pump system for our laundry in the basement and the pump has taken a nap more than once. Not fun!
The second one? Who was the first? Do they have a TH-cam channel? Additions can be good, if they work! For me, I have the French Drain out back, AND an interior perimeter of the basement drainage system that leads to one or the other (Whichever is closer) of the 2 sump pumps I have. Has your pump failed, or just intermittently stopped working? So far I have had no issues, but it is also used less than a laundry pump would be used. And honestly, I have Also considered whether or not I could ever build Up as well!
@@DOTUBricks Matticus Bricks was the first flood. I just saw that he had another flood. I can't imagine the stress. I've had a flood in the past and it's just not fun. Our pump for the laundry sink just stopped working one time. No idea why. We ordered a replacement pump because we can't do laundry without it. It's worked fine since the new pump arrived. I can't wait to remodel so we can move the laundry out of the basement. After 12 years, I'm over it. We are really rethinking of finishing the basement in the addition we want and building up instead. One wet winter and the finished basement could be doomed. Doesn't seem like a risk worth taking. Saving one's sanity maybe the better way to go.
@happyscrapbooker1712 I will have to look into that. My minifig guy Ben knows Matticus Bricks, I'm surprised he did not mention any flood, as he was here within 30 minutes of when it happened here, and helped me with a couple of things.
For your crawl-space; get a mechanics stool with wheels to scoot around.
Hmmm. I never heard of such a thing, just looked it up. That might be useful, but I would have to take a measurement to make sure I could sit on it and still maneuver. There is one spot that is Extra low because of a duct that comes through. I have thought of the flat mechanics thing, but that is probably WAY lower, and I don't need to be laying down! Thanks for the idea though!
Ohh! Sorry to hear that about the water again down there. And good to see it's already fixed because it can be a serious problem and it takes additional time for you to focus too and hope it will not happen again. Good to see orders keep coming and a lot of things on plan to do next including that interesting contest you had in mind. Nice Vlog Doug!
Thank you. It was Very thankfully a minor problem in the grand scheme of things. And no, that Specific problem should not happen again! Order Do keep coming in, but June is Not a great month overall. I have missed sales on 6 days Already this month, and it is only the 27th! I could hit 10 days! LOL
@@DOTUBricks i hope you already received orders as of this writing and on the next days so June performance can at least improve 😊 yes, no more water problem in the future as i really know how hard for it to deal with it.
I'd love to have your backlog. LOL! FYI. It was teacher Christa McAuliffe who died in the Challenger explosion. Sally Ride was the first American woman to fly in space (and third in the world). After she landed, she was asked what it was like, to which she replied, "Definitely an E Ticket!" She died of cancer in 2012.
Thank you for throwing me the bone and telling me you wish you had my backlog, instead of just correcting me! I certainly make mistakes. I will try and record a clip for the next VLOG to correct the error.
@@DOTUBricks no problem. The Challenger disaster is sort of etched on brain because, the morning it happened, I had woken from a dream where I was reading a news article about McAuliffe. Then the next thing I see after getting out of bed was footage of the explosion.
Ohh yes, I can see that keeping things very clear for you.
I know this is a Bricklink store but I can't wait till my personal parts collection looks like this😂
Well, maybe? It may be a goal, but that is a LOT of space, taken up by the parts, and not displaying anything or having a work area! Thank you t hough, I am enjoying building out my store!
Hello! What counting scale do you use?
Hello! Lets see, the one I Use more does not seem to have any branding on it. But, a quick Google search brought me to it, on Amazon (Even told me when I last bought it!) I will say, when looking at different ones, pay CLOSE attention to the sensitivity level... The first one I bought was accurate to (I think .1 ounces) and the one I have now is accurate to .1 grams. HOWEVER, note the units - grams are a lots lighter than ounces, so the second one is much more accurate! www.amazon.com/Precision-Analytical-Electronic-Laboratory-Industrial/dp/B074QCZPF9/ref=asc_df_B074QCZPF9/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693335601319&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6384885350751221890&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1022904&hvtargid=pla-574661711018&mcid=0bf709e857d3382a81bcaf313bd62f0a&gad_source=1&th=1

Hello Doug i am so sorry about your water issues, i know a few resellers who as soon as they get items in stock place them into plastic tubs to keep them clean and DRY , i know sometimes you would not be able to place some items in plastic tubs but you could make sure any cardboard boxes are off the ground and this should help save whatever is inside them. Anyway good to see your store growing keep it up
Yup, pretty much most of everything is off the floor directly anyway. The couple of cardboard boxes that got hit just had simple stuff in it, and 4 were just unopened boxes with more white drawer units in them. Thanks, I keep putting in effort!
Looks like larger plates is easy to sort, if i can help to sort that will be my target hihi! Jk but it really looks sorting is fun while i always watch your vlog! Take care uncle Doug!
Thank you Xianne! Sorting the large plates IS one of the easiest categories to do for sure!
@@DOTUBricks you;re welcome!!!
Hi Doug! Lot of work being done on this vlog! Good to hear many helps too and orders keep coming. I also never thought that was high the total numbers of cone you've sorted. Congratulations to your friend and hope the trip went well. Been busy also that is why just watched the vlog😊
The trip was great, and I had a great time!
@@DOTUBricks that's good to hear 😊
I really enjoy your blog. Thank you for sharing it with us. Is your overall plan to work through the bulk stored in the basement first? Or is there another overall plan? ❤
Thank you so much for saying that! It means a lot, getting to hear people enjoy things I have done! As for the 'overall plan' - I am not sure 100% what the 'plan' is! heh I constantly am thinking about what the next thing is. Used bulk is certainly at the top of my list, but I will do part-outs here and there as well still. As well as getting into some other ideas occasionally.
Forget about the beginning of June; July is going to be your month!
Well, I look forward to July! But, focus right now is on June!
wow! you also keep winning in that whatnot and also on sales but not that on the 2 days start of June but other orders are large isee and i am very happy. And your subscribers also growing. we already on vacation now, we are just stuck now here in our house hihi
Well, I Did get a couple of sales late in the day on Sunday, and I might have forgotten to mention that! So, just missing one day in June so far. The subscribers are slow now, but that is OK as well! I do not know what for sure I will do next in regards to that. I really want to get back to doing some live streams though. I may need remedial help though! I had some, and it worked, and then I tried doing another a few weeks later, and I think I forgot or just did not remember enough, and it did not work the same way.
@@DOTUBricks okay 1 day only in June.you will don best in the next months for sure! livestream nice! we are planning to go to my cousins house i dont know if we can stay there long while in vacation as dad is working daily he will check if connection in internet is good there and also the travel fare expenses if it is we are good going there. Livestream, nice! i remember you also had your livestrean setup that you share in your previous vlog
Hi Doug! Congratulations on getting large orders! Even with no sales for 2 consecutive days the next ones are large orders 🎉 I was surprised even the brick separators are being for sale, yes why not what would others do with it that came from some lego sets they had. Hope sales keep coming! And it is nice things keep moving! Take care!
I may have forgotten to mention this, but I Actually did get a couple of sales on Sunday, they just came late in the day, like 9:30 or after as I recall. And yeah, there are some interesting things people have done with Brick Separators! Plus, they could be doing something and want to give them away to people.
@@DOTUBricks i see. That is good to hear only 1 day miss so far. I was curious what they are going to do with those many brick separators and yes they can incorporate it to what they are building. Thanks and happy weekend to you!
Hello Doug are you still getting bulk used lego from your contact or have you stopped buying more ,its just that you have not mentioned bulk buys for quite a while . Its great to see your store growing with sales keep at it .
I have not been getting any from my contact. They have stopped sourcing for now for various reasons. I still pick up an occasional Goodwill buy, but I have trimmed back quite a lot. Thanks, I keep working on something pretty much every day!
Hi Doug! Congratulations on the website. Not much but it is a good start to have it. What are most likely we are going to see there? Are you looking on putting a what for sale on your lego items in there soon? Good to see orders keep coming and reorganizing things to make more space for what is needed. Take care too always!
Thank you! As for what will be there, I really am not 100% certain, besides the links. Might be adding another link there soonish. I probably wont use it for showing off new things in the store, as that can change so quickly!
You always put so much work into everything and it shows! Great vlog, Doug!
Thanks! Sometimes I feel like I did well, and got a lot done, and other times I feel like 'eh, what did I do?' LOL
@@DOTUBricks You're killing it! And don't be too hard on yourself; everyone needs a break sometimes!
Well, thanks. Though I seem to take a lot of breaks! heh
@@DOTUBricks Slow and steady wins the race!
Great vlog, Doug 👏 Can't wait for next week's!
Thanks! It is in progress now! Probably will film some more today, but it will get put out for Tomorrow! Even though it feels like a Sunday with the holiday!
i was thinking why they did buy that 40 heads hihi! That was a cool space saucer build! am i right that if you build that you will get that for free? Great VLOG Uncle Doug! it's number 80!
I know, why! heh Who knows for sure. And yes, those builds are free - they call them "Make and Take" events!
@@DOTUBricks so Cool! Make and take! it rhymes! also can be, Build One Get One hihi!
It was a busy week on this VLOG! A lot of cool space themed sets are released and they are cool! Good to see again the BTS process on washing used pieces and for sure many of your viewers who are running also a bricklink may like that idea to see that process. Hope your car is fixed now. Have another great week Doug! Take care!
Car should be done on Thursday! And thanks, just more of the whole process going on!
@@DOTUBricks You're welcome, Doug! Good day!
Nice update as usual. Just curious where you got the square-ish white containers you use for parting out sets or sorting? I can’t seem to find them. Thank you for your time!
Ahhh yes, I love those! Target! They are either in Bath or general storage, often on an endcap. Not a bad price either! The small square ones are 4/$2, and the larger two, the smaller rectangle, and the Long one, are both, IIRC, 3/$2, and the largest size is 2/$2 - also, they go on sale 20% off fairly regularly. I put them on my favorites on the Target app, and check there now and again. Sometimes the sale is for online purchase only, but that is not a big deal to pick up an order. Occasionally they will have a better sale than the 20% off as well. My biggest concern is that they discontinue them!
@@DOTUBricks thank you so much for the detailed information. I honestly never thought to check target…I will now lol. I currently use round plastic cups, but there is a lot of wasted space on the table. I feel these will allow me to get more of them in the space I use while parting out or sorting. Thank you again!
@patoconnor1743 no worries at all! Get some, see how you like them! If you want more, check for sales!
nice new set uncle Doug! you already had a few of those free gift star wars set . Nice to see a lot of movement in your store. Graduation weekend for me Amara this weekend. i am super excited!
Thanks for that, but - Congratulations to both you and Amara! Always more to learn, even at my age! Stay engaged, and excited to learn, it will serve you for a lifetime!
@@DOTUBricks thank you very much uncle Doug for the kind words! I will!
Ohh so the Aurora borealis is seen near your area. I also saw pictures online it looks incredible. Good to see a lot of movement happen down there to make room for more sorting plans. I think I remember that torso with sound levels like Tetris is a shirt been popular before that it works like equalizer sound level that it goes up and down woth a light effects with the beats of the music 🎶 heh
Well, USUALLY the aurora is not visible as far South as I am, but the solar storms as of late have been making it more visible! And yes, that is the shirt idea!
@@DOTUBricks i saw that on news it is because of Solar Flares. It is amazing to witness that! As it is not usual and cannot be seen in all places on earth. A lot is happening lately. Eclipse, Aurora borealis and heat index rising up 😭😭😭
What are your plans for the mountain of sealed sets you have?
Well, the Original plan was parting most of them out. There are other plans in the works now though, at least for some of them.
Fantastic look at a running a bricklink store! 😂
Thank you! It is only just a slice of course, much more goes into it, but I do try and share what I can, and what makes sense!
It’s Narkina 5 from Andor. I think.
It is! Though I had to look up the specific place name, as I just knew it as the prison from Andor.
That looks ouchy uncle Doug! please be more careful next time! You got a cool new set on your haul! That was a nice lego bag design made for May the 4th day, cool idea! The plush toys are so cute!!!
I am being very careful now - Zero desire to repeat that!
@@DOTUBricks 🥰🥰 yes pleaseeee
Sometimes we can't control things and we get hurt ourselves, hope that one is already completely healed. Cool sumbrero accessories, we call also that one here sumbrero also a normal cap we call it sumbrero too sometimes. So Cool you also won giveaways, feel awesome on that. Nice haul too and i don't have an idea about that habitat build but it looks a pretty nice and clean build! Thanks for sharing the tracker, as it cannot be also shared but that will be helpful also for others doing the same business of you 😊
I am feeling fine still, and it is healing well. More than likely I will have a scar there! The habitat was from a scene in the Disney+ show Andor.
@@DOTUBricks yes, most likely a scar there. First time to hear about that show. I will search for it and look for that scene!
love it- you did good shots, peace out.
Thank you
