Why film on a Bicycle
Traditional video makers tend to walk, which unless great care is taken, produces a bounce in the video footage. I find filming on a motorbike can be too fast, not allowing you to take in the scenery. The bicycle allows me to interact with people whilst providing smooth footage. If you find it is still too fast, then you can slow the video speed down to half speed, which will still be 30 frames per second. Industry normal is 24/25 frames per second.
Why doesn’t the footage look clear
Sometimes I make an error when shooting the video (but very rarely) The most common cause is that your internet connection on YT has set the resolution to below 4K, so check your settings.
Camera Equipment
Since starting the channel I have used my trusty DJI Osmo Pocket 2 (Creator combo) I am now using the Pocket 3
The Combo comes with a Bluetooth microphone which has given great performance, even when riding at speed. I film at 4K & 60 frames per second, my light and ISO settings are on Auto. The Camera is strapped to my left wrist (so it might appear that I am close to things on the left). I control the Camera head via an application on my phone (Mimo), using my right hand Thumb.

Why do you say your videos are Uncensored
Back in April 2022 TH-cam changed the Algorithm they use. They have very sophisticated computers that scan each & every video for words, images and music. Hearing the music when you pass a bar usually creates a Copywrite issue on the channel. A bigger issue is night filming in Pattaya. Really just about any bar scenes causes the video to be classed as Adult content. I have tried cutting my videos into small segments, and uploading them individually, these still were deemed as unsuitable for advertisers. So with this in mind, I do not monetize my videos, so you should not see any advertisements. I rely solely on my Members and those who subscribe to my other channel “David Strachan Living in Pattaya”

I see Hainan Airlines are flying out of Edinburgh via Pek to Bangkok for £443 on/via Sky scanner from Sep its £475 on Hainan Airlines site , times are good 18h20 18h25 i think they flew pre covid out of Edinburgh and also out of Dublin

having flown non stop from amsterdam / schiphol , a 11 hour flight allready whent past my limit of endurance (backpain) , the next time i fly to thailand im planning on a stopover in dubai (using emerates ) splitting the flight intoo two 6 to 7 hour trips , there sleeping capsules at that airport so i can sleep / lay flat during a 7 hour stayover , flights with that long a stayover are usually cheaper too
emerates allso prides itself on having the most legroom available amongst all airlines on these flights , instead of going to the hotel to sleep off the jetlag untill the next day im reasonably fresh and ready to go the first day of arival in thailand so i shouldnt loose a lot in time

I always believe that they should turn Soi 6 in to a car free zone from 3 pm till 3 am. With all the girls and foot traffic , it’s absolutely absurd. How cars still try to drive down there. !!!
There are several places that would benefit from being car free, soi 6 and parts of Soi bukhao for sure. But I also think the one way system is great in Jomtien!
I've gotta start using that line about how it's hot so I need to drink more beer.

In regard to why the bar areas are quiet in the city, I have my own theory. I’m actually in Pattaya now, having arrived 12 days ago. I have noticed a lot of men and families from the Indian subcontinent and china. They come on a cheap holiday and I think they are gradually changing Pattaya to the point where, in the future, the city will essentially cater only for these tourists groups. You can see the permanent change in walking street and that area and 2nd road.
This same group of tourists do not frequent bars or GCs. They like to eat out, visit their own super clubs in walking street that cater for their taste in music and basically wonder around the town looking for discounts from the rock bottom priced massage shops. The massage shops are always full on 2nd road but the girls there tell me the Indians, in particular, demand a discount for the 200 baht foot massage, a strong massage and they hardly ever tip.
What this all boils down to is that there are not enough farang men to sustain the bars. There are plenty of Indian and Chinese men but you never see them in myth night, Soi buakhao, Soi pothole, etc.
Pattaya is going to change forever and quickly. The Soi buakhao will become an island of bars catering for farangs surrounded by the entertainment industry catered to visitors from the indian and Chinese subs continents. That means little enclaves like Soi 7 and Soi 8 will die as they lie within the residential areas of non farangs. Market forces determines everything on our world and Pattaya is no exception.
I wouldn’t disagree with any of your observations but there will still be areas for foreigners to enjoy albeit less
Fred, you have it pretty much spot on. Everyone says the Government is trying to change Pattaya, but it is the natural market forces that is reshaping the town. Places like Buakhao and LK will continue to be the main area for Westerners to visit. But as you say, places like Walking Street have pretty much been taken over by the Indian and Asian customers. I wonder how the Gogo supermodels in WS are managing to extort top Dollar from the current customer base. Hopefully the reduction in airfare prices will encourage more European type customers to return more frequently. I passed WS last night around 9.30pm and as you highlighted the majority of the (busy) footfall were Indians. Hope you enjoy your time in Town 🙏🙏
@@keef6586 oh yes Pattaya will still cater for farangs from the uk, etc but other tourists groups by the shear volume will have direct and indirect changes to Pattaya. The city will change to cater for the tastes of these groups.

David did a members ride through these Sois prior to tonight’s videos and although it was a bit earlier they looked pretty quiet. There are still the odd decent bar along them though that attract quite a few regulars.
