Danni & Joe
The segment between 24:00 and 26:30 has to be some of the most evocative video I've seen. The combination of the drone shots the mist and the soft guitar music had me captivated. Superb and very well done
Thanks
Thank you so much!
The quality of video is very professional quality.
Appreciate it!
Very good video and you didn’t even hear the Grave digger following you in the dark of the night😮 👏👍👍👍👍👍👍
😂😂
Ha you 2, there is an absolute time warp picture of Joe going into the tunnel and in the sky are the contras of a Jet . Just a perfect picture called Time Warp . Happy Trails you 2
Yeah I love the difference in eras when cruising!
Top notch videography and the music matched perfectly, such a beautiful piece!
Thanks so much!
One thing on a narrow boat never panic this can lead to bad mistakes just think it through and you will be ok.had a forty foot narrow boat myself in the nineties still miss it a lot was on the nene in Northamptonshire, best tunnel I went through was the bliss worth got a kink in the middle.
Ah wow I’ll save that tunnel!!
Mould, you can eat that, thats cheese n'it? I was searching for music inspiration for my own narrow boat cine film. (Yes cine film been in the can since 1973 but no audio), stayed for the drone shots, really good static shots, Inspirational, Joe, ta.
Thank you - appreciate it!
Loved hugerford we moored right up by tesco very handy
Such a lovely little town!
Nice video, guys. Keep rocking 👍🏻
Hi guys new to your channel and can I say it's amazing watching you on your journey. I'm thinking of living on a boat on the k&a and with each one of your videos in getting more inspired. Keep up the great work and thank you
That's great to hear! Thank you!
Always grand to watch you both good light for the tunnel well done has always both tc the oldies 🤗🤗🌺🌹🌷
Thanks for watching!
Hi loved it when you came through the tunnel I think you both enjoyed it
It was great fun!
Ya channel is mint keep it up👍
You don't need a coarse you're doing fine and your skill will come on....the chains in the tunnel are for if you fall in so you can pull yourself along and you would have noticed glow signs up on the tunnel wall with arrows pointing to the shortest way out....all the best to you both👍
Oh that’s interesting, thanks!
Ho guy's lovely video. Keep warm as the weather is getting colder. Do think a lot of you both on your narrow boat. Please take care. ❤❤❤❤ X
Thank you so much! The temperature hasn’t dropped off too much just yet
Love the music, quite catchy 😊
Lovely isn’t it?!
Great video guys love it very moody with the misty grey weather 😍
Thanks pops!
Boat is looking awesome
Aw thank you, we love it 😊
Lovely video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Often boaters will put the lights on inside the boat, to add some limitation to the sides of the boat,as you go through tunnels.
🍻
Good to know for next time!
It's a shame that after all your hard work the first year you get to 'enjoy' cruising on your renovated narrowboat the Summer is practically non-existent 😥. Almost any other year you would have had many more hot and sunny days. Your drone footage is wonderful 👏👏.
We have enjoyed our summer across Europe and enjoying these cruises in the late summer. We haven’t really had much of a summer here anyway so weather wise it wouldn’t of made a difference 😊
Great episode.
Thank you!
The boat is looking great.
Don't forget to protect the paint finish on the roof from scratches from stored scratchy things.
Upturned astro turf is great for this as it protects, whilst maintaining some ventilation so as to stop the paint from sweating.
I have got that T shirt. (5 years liveaboard)
🍻
The paint already has its war wounds haha
I met the same crt man in the same lock coming from great bedwin 2 days ago the world is such a small place lol
😂😂
I love these vlog's, they are great... 🙂
Cheers!
Love the new doors!
Thank you so much!
Loved this so much ❤ We love watching your travels guys 🥰 x
Thanks guys! Lovely to continue moving rather than being bound to stay in one area
What song is playing for the drone footage? Love it.
Always a great pleasure to watch you videos.
Thanks so much!
13:09 - were's the goose
Well spotted!
Perfect pace through the tunnel. You might find it helps to open your curtains and turn on your interior lights which will illuminate the sides of the tunnel.
Thank you! Definitely bare that in mind for next time 😊
That’s a good shout!
A lot of VLOGers are using drones to great effect these days but I'd say narrowboaters like yourselves are getting the most out of them. Bucolic countryside might have something to do with it. ;^)
Absolutely!
Danni you do not need to open both lock gates on some of the locks you can go ahead with only one gate open both in and out. You are doing fine for new N Boaters. plus in tunnels it helps to keep inside lights as they light up the tunnel walls to guide you. Going through a cemetery in the dark is spooky with the headstones look like they are people moving and watching you. Ed 40 S of Vegas
We found when we unlock one it can difficult to get to the landing with our bikes on the back, it’s no trouble doing both. Good tip thank you!
Brilliant vog one of your best, but why open two gates when you can get through one.
Thank you! We found it difficult getting onto a lock landing once with the bikes on the back as well. It’s not bother opening both 😊
I sympathise with the early grey cold mornings, when I was driving buses I had to get up at 03.30 then walk down a pitch black towpath sometimes for over a mile just to get car and start my shift at 05.00… Winters were horrible when locks are icy or snow covered…. I was frozen in one year and had to pull a sledge on snow covered towpath just to get water and a bag of coal… Boat life certainly makes you appreciate the little things in life…👍🏻
Oh wow! Absolutely, all the elements can be hard but it’s the good moments that make it all worth it ❤️
Really enjoyable vlog ! Thanks guys
Thanks for watching!
Great Vvlog guys well done on the tunnel and the light...... yes harecastle is long I have been thru there don't worry its all good...... love watching you guys the kenneth and Avon canal looks awesome... wasn't open when we were living in the uk... but looks lovely.... keeep up the good work see you next week.
Thank you so much!
Hi guys great vlog again! Please tell me where you got your Tea pot cosy ? I love it !!! Thank you. The light was great as well. Take care 🙏.
One of our lovely followers actually made it for us and sent it to us. It’s stunning isn’t it?!
Hi Guys, our tunnel light is covered by the cratch cover so we've wired in our "temporary lamp from Amazon" into the wire that used to run to the tunnel light. Our old tunnel light we wired into an interior switch and use it as a cratch light.
Another great vlog, I love Danni's wonder at the projection of your Penny Bun onto the tunnel wall.
We've just been on the River Soare for the first time and our boat was doing nearly 10 mph with the flow! Exciting on the bends! Keep enjoying yourself you lovely kids xxx
P.s. love the music you're using in the vlogs
Ahh that’s a great idea, may do the same with ours!
Looked like a tough one to film. Did my first tunnel last week, not too bad 👍
Aw nice one, which tunnel was that?
@@ItsOhJoe Dunhampton tunnel on the birmingham and worcester, 250yds, did both ways. Also a few miles down the river severn so gaining confidence all the time 👍
👍
You need to try standedge tunnel 3.25 mile’s long (5189 meters) and 636 feet (194 meters) below ground the longest and the deepest tunnel in Britain 😉
That’s more like it!
Nice job getting through the restricted area so smoothly. The morning fog was beautiful. Not sure it was too fun for you cruising but I enjoyed it.
Looking back it was beautiful actually! Little bit cold though 😂
❤
We are loving travelling with you 2 ♥️. How’s the engine ( Jon was asking )
Thank you, so far so good although it started making some funny noises today 😬
@@ItsOhJoe Im going to message you on Instagram. ( Nb Warrior ) xx
Loving your videos
Wondering if you bought or made your sofa if the latter do you have a video on it?
My daughter bought a 55” narrowboat earlier in the year and has ripped out the previous sofa and want to make a small sofa bed for her lounge area
Any suggestions welcome
Hey! So we got our sofa from ‘MADE’ which has since gone into liquidation which is a shame because it’s a very conveniently sized sofa which goes out into a bed as well. There are lots of them on secondhand sites when we were looking for this one, we got this one new as we wanted the green colour.
We purchased it and got it onboard with a great struggle to be honest, definitely worth checking the doors size. Hope this helps 😊
@@ItsOhJoe thanks for the advice, and I agree it could be a struggle to find something that fits through the bow doors. Keep up the awesome videos and build
Saw you guys cruising through Sonning a couple of days ago. Danni was captaining the boat, and we were on the grey widebeam (not that you will remember 😂), she looked pro going around the corner after the lock.... You heading into London and onto the grand union?
Aw hey guys! Thank you haha, yes that’s the plan 😊
Hi you two, you could save yourselves a lot of time by just opening one gate on wide locks.
There’s always someone saying you are doing it wrong, if you have nothing positive to say keep your trap shut.
Who the hell are you?? Am only trying to make their life easier. Keep your nose out.
We found it difficult to land on the lock landing once with our bikes on the back. It’s no bother opening both 😊
Hi Danni and Joe… can you tell me what music/ artist is in the background?
All songs are available on Epidemic sound! Sorry I haven’t got the list in front of me
What had you pickled ?
Cucumbers 😊
How do you know the other boat in the tunnel is a wide beam?
I reckon you could just about make it out in the distance to be fair, otherwise a fairly long reverse or a stand-off I guess 😂
BMC is indirect injection. Almost impossible to start indirect without glow plugs. Fix it!!
Seems to be sorted now! Starts on the button touch wood!
Always mention the name of the canal you’re on for us who don’t have a clue about canals.
K&A! If we don’t mention it the easiest way is just googling any of the towns we mention, heading onto the Thames next and then the Grand Union into London (via the regents)
Wyh as husband and wife you don't sleep together.
We’ve only got one bed & definitely share it 😂
