What a great review! You made a fantastic job! What about making a video of how Mount and Blade run in the cloud gaming service? Do you know about Boosteroid? It would be great if you make a review!

As someone looking at this game for console, does anyone know if the D Pad controls have been streamlined with its full release? I think that may be the only issue I’m considering, if I can’t easily tell my troops to form up or execute maneuvers then this game isn’t for me. I don’t just want to hope my AI troops succeed, I want to direct them to win

On controller to tell your troops to do things press left toggle, not trigger ofc. Then it will show you all the commands and it slows it down so you should have time ti figure it out. It’s honestly not that hard after you do it for a couple of battles

It is a significant improvement, not as good as pc obviously, but much better than warbands constant tapping through menu options. You hold l1 and you press specific buttons that open up radial menus (some have quick options mapped to buttons, the rest you just point towards) to give specific commands and formations (no more constantly using spread closer/out, shield wall/loose formations achieve the same goal with one selection). You use the dpad to scroll through which specific formation you want to command (everyone is selected by default, pressing down on which ever one is highlighted means commands only apply to that specific formation). The option to have the game slowdown when commanding would've already made this 100x better if that was the only change honestly lol (It's on by default, though you can turn it off if you want).

Best game ever, played it for over a year now, mods also change the entire game through and through. The game only gets better with updates!

Come back to Bannerlord. We need player people. It gets lonely sometimes.

👎 warfare is not for me, but I enjoy your Medieval dynasty contributions. Thanks for that!

I've found this game very repetitive and frustrating. Lack of explanations of what and how to do will make you go online and watch someone's guides (example: governor perks you get are useless since your main character cannot be a governor). You will spend few hours figuring things out and then restarting the game. Then you will do the same thing again but it will get boring. You will end up manually fighting against very easy enemies (looters and such) to avoid suffering losses of top tier troops from auto resolve. Same thing every time: place melee troops with shields in the front (shield wall), archers in the back (long line), and cavalry behind archers. Do that every time for non-stop battles and it gets boring. After that, due to lack of content, you will start using modes that will change the game. I do not think this game is worth asking price as it is today without mods.

      1) you're very wrong about governor perks 2) the in game encyclopedia tells you everything you need to know 3) if you are incapable of playing a different way and always resort to the meme that is shield wall infantry, line archer, calvary backline then the problem is you not the game when there's at least 30 different ways to play the combat part of the game that I can think of off the top of my head, excluding the different ways to play the game in general (including no combat) and 4) $50 USD is cheaper than any other mainstream game as is within a reasonable price range, perhaps this game is too complicated for you.

@@INFJ-ThaneTr I've played 1.7ish version and my main character could not be assigned as a governor, did they change it in later version? If encyclopedia would tell us everything about the game then there would be no need for many guides on youtube (perhaps they added something since 1.7 version). As far as combat goes, you can do some different things but it will end up the same in the end - protect your archers. Different play modes like being a bandit (could be fun for some) or trader (move around from town to town is not fun)? About 50 bucks (some sites sell cd-keys for less than 30$ but not sure if they are legit) hard to compare to other games. New games have video scenes and better graphics, some are even free to play. Bannerlord is complicated only for new players due to lack of direction and proper explanation of game features.
