Wonderful collection. Particularly love the board games - the cover artwork promising much more excitement than the actual contents. So much Dalek related material presumably they were happier to license their image rights.
Stunning collection - great to see it all onscreen at last, well worth the extended running time ! Congratulations to you both. ps That TV Comic William Hartnell sticker photo looks to me like it was taken on the set of Marco Polo.
Fantastic collection George Just let you first Doctor William Hartnell did feature in the TV Comic annual 1966 It's the one with the helecopter on the front cover Comic strip stories in the book are Prisoners of the Kleptons. The Caterpillar Men.
@@JulesBurt Jules, it was you who inspired me to upload my own videos of my collections on TH-cam have a look at my Rolling Stones Sixties Merchandise video where I have included the first Rolling Stones autobiography book which was called Our Own Story by the Rolling Stones As We Told It to Peter Goodman Published by Corgi books in the UK and by Bantam books in the US 1964 I have also included a set of Rolling Stones Bubble Gum Cards from 1964 and 1965 I would like to know if your friend Andy has a set of these cards in his collection Here's the link th-cam.com/video/1HpR6FlUM3Y/w-d-xo.html
As a collector of 60s and 70s Doctor Who memorabilia, this is right up my street! A fantastic collection and a great video. So envious of some of the great items on display here 👏 😀
Wow! An amazing collection. I love the 60s Doctor Who collectibles. Sadly, the furthest back my collection goes is the late 70s (Dennys Fisher toys). The one exception is that I own a copy of the very first Doctor Who annual.
Thanks for this show of memorabilia, absolutely stunning. Happy memories for me. I got the Doctor who give a show projector for Christmas 1965. I remember the advert on the telly. I had a silver and a black plastic Dalek bought for me from Woolworths and was given a Marx silver battery Dalek for my birthday. You have a fantastic collection, I'm very envious. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks Derek, George has a fantastic collection, lovely to see the sixties items all together. The Give A Show projector is a classic piece, so displayable. 👍
Mind Blowin array of vintage treasure. I remember In the 1990's Southgate tube station had still had the 1960's Dr Who movie poster in it's billboard display. I 'm sure it's finally been removed now. Lol
Great collection . Classic . Priceless . And even more so for the memories . I cringed when the Dalak manage to escape the maze " foolish human do you think you can trap a Dalak" Nice recapture guys. We have enough trouble without a manic Dalak running amok . 😂🤣 . I do remember " My Favorite Martain " ( later a cartoon ) was that the series with Bill Bixby ( The Hulk ) and also (The Magician) ? Love the comics / Mags TV 21. Thank you Jules , George for the show and tell .
Amazing ....I had many of these Dalek toys as a kid in the mid 60s ....and yeah, the Cherilea 'Swappit' Daleks were sold loose in Woolworths no packaging at all and I remember you could just rummage in the glass display case and pick out whichever colour you liked. Also, the 'Swappits' were the only 60s toy that got the shape of the Dalek's skirt section correct i.e. pointed at the front and flat at the back. Nice industrial strength blast of nostalgia video.
Lovley. I like how loads of daleks have a round grill under the front band....that's because on some of the reference images sent were rehearsal pics with a roll of tape stuffed in and some have labels on the domes...again...used in rehearsals to identify daleks for filming.
Those gorgeous, technicolour Daleks, like the one on the first Dalek Book. In spite, or even because, of their inaccuracies, I think they’re beautiful. So exotic and alien looking. Far removed from the gun-metal grey war machines later Who. There’s one thing I’ve wondered. My understanding is that some of the whimsical errors (the round speaker grill, the lettering on the head) was because the artist was going off rather blurry behind the scenes set photos. But the colour scheme however. I’m guessing they just made that up. Yet, the colours, a blue base, bumps and head, with a shiny metal body and a very distinctive golden mid section. Red ear-lights. That’s almost identical to how the Dalek drones looked in the first Cushing movie. But the book came out in 1964 and the movie in 1965. Is this just coincidence, or did the designers of the movie Daleks base their look on the Dalek Book ones?
Fantastic and yes, more like the movie Daleks than the TV series for sure. Pretty sure the colours were made up at the time but who cares, they all add to the charm of these amazing pieces👍
maybe the only major thing missing is the SCORPION AUTOMOTIVES DALEK which is not surprising since about only 8 exist? what is the survival of those daleks? 8 or not much more than 8. at least there is a full size replica dalek to go with that collection
I'm only 30 seconds in and already I'm absolutely amazed at the color, the art, and the breadth of toys available. Excellent!
Awesome Bill, it's an incredible collection 👍
Wonderful collection. Particularly love the board games - the cover artwork promising much more excitement than the actual contents. So much Dalek related material presumably they were happier to license their image rights.
Could well be Simon, or Terry Nation just wanted the cash🙂
This was my favourite era for merchandise for Who. The artwork and range of stuff is fab. I had a few of these items as a kid, wish I'd had more!
Great stuff, yes the artwork is so vivid and bright, a fantastic era for merchandise across the board👍
I’m just old enough to remember the arse end of these board games run. It’s pulling the memories out like untwining string. Many thanks.
That's awesome Robert 🙂

Thanks Andy, yes, a worthy epic I think. You could well be right about that being a Marco Polo photo👍
Fantastic collection George

Great stuff, lovely to look at though👍
You will obey! This collection will not be exterminated! Great video 🥸
Thanks my friend 👍
Another cracker mate. This is absolutely my kind of thing. Thanks for presenting these things so well. To me this is the ‘proper’ stuff.
Great stuff, thanks Martin, glad it hit the spot👍

Thanks and I'm sure it has! This is just a part of George's amazing collection. Glad you enjoyed it👍
I love this! The Doctor Who Episode that got me in to the show was a 9th Doctor episode called Dalek! so The Daleks mean a lot to me.
Great stuff, thanks 👍🏼
Amazing!
This collection really is Bob🙂

Thanks Syy, glad you enjoyed this one. Yes, we were lucky with that Dalek👍
I had quite a few of these back in the day and this video brought a lot of memories back, thanks.
Great stuff Hari, glad it brought back those memories 👍
Brilliant video thank you very much
Thanks very much Peter👍

love the video FYI identicode is now available in the Apple sore as an app
Wow, thanks 👍🙂

Sweet lord that's awesome
I fancy my self a DW collector up until I saw this anyway 😢
This is one of the top vintage collections in the world. Filming the 70's early June👍
Fantastic collection! Love Dr Who!!
Excellent, thanks Emily🙂
Used to love Dr Who , but mainly the Tom Baker years !
Tom Baker was a superb Doctor, although Pertwee has always been my favourite 👍

Mechanoid is actually spelt 'Mechonoid.'
Thanks
I always thought it funny that Lady Penelope and Joanna Lumley look an awful lot alike 😮
Pure coincidence 😂
maybe the only major thing missing is the SCORPION AUTOMOTIVES DALEK which is not surprising since about only 8 exist? what is the survival of those daleks? 8 or not much more than 8. at least there is a full size replica dalek to go with that collection
True, a genuine rarity that one. The Dalek is the one from the Radio Times cover that was also made into a stamp🙂
Funny his cut off point is 1969 as it misses Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker, Elisabeth Sladen and all the really awesome Who people.....at least IMHO
See last comment, this was done deliberately, there's so much to see👍
