What i got out of the arena situation was that when every player was asked why they picked this player (when xaryu was the other choice) they always mentioned communication and flow. Made me wonder if xaryu was hard to get along with but sometimes it's just finding the right fit.

Xar is insanly good player - no doubt about that. But its also true that the best team in tbc is mage + rogue :). Ofc lock + druid or warrior + druid, rogue + druid are also really great comps. So if you want to higher your chance of getting glad you pick either mage, rogue, warlock or resto druid. Obviously it requiers a lot more practice hitting glad as feral druid, hunter (well, hunter isnt that bad) or paladin :). That being said, to hit rank 1 you need to be really good player no matter what class and spec you play.

Warriros in cata have not that much mobilty. Ij WotLK it was much easier to stick onto a target with intercept and charge not sharing cooldown like it was in Cata. And leap had double the colldown of an intercept. So I'd take WotLK mobility over cata any time of the day. In mop tho it was better. Two charges and a leap on a short cooldown and a ranged stun that was sick
Xaryu is honestly water next to Rivah... Rivah has literally been r1 in both 2s and 3s since season 1 TBC retail back in 2007.. Also, just to mention - he has acheived rank 1 on ALL tbc private servers.. and if you've played those, you know how hardcore the top20 arena players are at such servers.
Really curious if MQG will be considered bis throughout TBC. In an arena environment that amount of haste seems better than any other spell power trinket, maybe apart from Skull of Gul'dan from Ilidan
Gonna be honest pika snaked him last year...I had come back to play live and was watching the streams. When xar returned from classic and he was rusty,pika avoided playing with him. I think that left a bad taste in xars mouth and even though they seem ok now there is still a bit of that tension from xars side.

They were playing wotlk and tbc arenas instead of bfa or shadowlands because wotlk and tbc is more interesting for a lot of peeps. Meta in current wow is to pop offensive cooldowns to make opponents use deffensive cooldowns and then chill the game until next go. In wotlk and tbc each second is precious :). So for instance as double dps team you usually cant reset. Just watch these games. The only heals xar and his rogue mate have are bandages.

Rotation is your general usage of abilities. In PvP there is no generalization. You don't cast a 2 second frostbolt if you have a freeze proc. But you do cast it into a set up as a shater combo with an ice lance. In PvP you don't have 100% uptime on a target unlike in PvE. So every abilty cast os dependant on the current situation.
@ 15:31 sheep 🐑 DR was done when the enemy rogue kidney shotted you could have sheep him full. The rogues second blind was still good on the druid. It's okay nobody is perfect I just wanted to point out that was a possibility.
I will never understand why there are no 2v2 awc tournys. Like brackets for double dps or dps with healer or maybe no brackets, just all comps against all comps. In tbc and retail. It’s so fun and requires a lot of skill imo U and nahj are the best rouge mage 2v2 team in the world, I am a fan but I feel like that’s the truth objectively (retail and tbc)
The meta in 2v2 is too strict. Literally no warrior will evet win a 2v2 tournament cuz they suck in 2v2. In 3w however it's a different story. There's much more wiggle room when it comes down to comps and counter comps

I love how they aren’t facing many real TBC comps in this video, minus a resto Druid/lock but that druid went tree lmao. The luck of their match making (wish I had spins like this!). Once locks get better gear these matches will be more realistic. I’m looking forward to seeing how they play vs. an afflock in full season 2 gear.
