- I have been to day hike to Mt. Amigasa 編笠山 (2,524m) and Mt. Nishidake 西岳 (2,398m), where located at the south Yatsugatake mountains in Nagano Prefecture, Japan.

What an incredible solo hike in the South Yatsugatake mountains! The journey to Mt. Amigasa and Mt. Nishidake looks both challenging and rewarding. The scenery in Nagano Prefecture is absolutely stunning. Your detailed checkpoints and the beautiful footage make me want to explore this area myself. Thanks for sharing your adventure. Oh so you did the opposite way by climbing those rugged rocks that brought chills into my spine when I did that hike with hubby! I wouldn’t mind doing Amigasa and Nishi again, but doubt my hubby can do such long hours of walk. Thanks for sharing! Nice memories🎉
