Audrey what a lovely kiln opening, I watched as I glazed some pots and kept making a mess😅 I love all the pieces! Looking forward to your tube tutorial 😊 xx
Oh my, you look absolutely fabulous for 60. Beautiful skin and a beautiful smile. Such a warming, happy presence you have in your videos. And you can ride a great looking motorcycle on top of being so darn creative. Happy potting and birthday for when ever it is. I'm 63 but still feel young on the inside. One loses those inhibitions we had as young woman. And can walk forward in confidence, heads held high. Enjoy your ride
Oh my goodness!...You are kind! Thank you for you lovely comments and wishes. So true, we gain a different kind of confidence as we get older! And, yes, me too!...I feel younger on the inside! I had a great ride yesterday, to Peachland. Today, I will ride in the afternoon for a bit. The weather is so great for it! Thanks again!
Absolutely love the birch tree! Work of art!!! Can’t wait to see it lit up on your deck. ( make sure you keep it away from those ball hockey players!! ) also like the “ expresso “ coffee mug at the beginning… too small for a regular coffee for me but could fit two shots of expresso… lol …. Looks great!
Thanks for sharing 😁 I loved you're glaze combinations and the luminary is very sweet. That would look great as a side table with glass. Happy 60th! I'm right there with you and it is good to remember those that didn't get to 60 and try to appreciate what we do have at this age 🎉 HAVE a nice safe ride 😀
Thank you so much! The Luminaire turned out just how I wanted. Yes, there have been family members and friends from high school. I am sure the same for you, that didn't make it this far. I think being grateful honours them.❤️ Thank you for your birthday wishes!
Audrey! That tree is absolutely amazing! I rarely ever comment but I was overwhelmed with that piece! 👏🏽 I reached for my phone to let you know how wonderful that we get better as we get older! 👏🏽🥳🎉💃🏽 I look forward to your videos! 👏🏽
Thank you so much!! I feel very blessed that you chose to comment. I have to admit, I love my tree. It warms my heart that you appreciate it, too!❤️ Yes, it is quite freeing getting older! Thank you again, so much!
Welcome to 60..😊 Enjoy Osoyoos, we love it there! It's been way too long since we visited. Love everything from your kiln unload. The last piece is amazing like you!
Awww....thanks so much! That is so kind!❤️ We just came back from our day of riding. Yup, it's still beautiful here! Heehee! 😆 You will have to visit the Okanagan soon. There are so many new wineries and eateries! Yum!
My gosh what an absolutely great kiln unload! So many pretty pieces! But wow that birch tree is spectacular!!!! I mean over the top gorgeous and soo realistic!! Can’t wait to see your upcoming tutorials! I’d love to know how you painted the flowers and of course the birch tree!! Happy Birthday!!!
Thanks so much, Michele! I am pretty stoked about my tree, too! I am excited to see it with lights! I have more coming, so I will film a Glaze-a-Long while I glaze the next one, which is almost dry. Yup, watercolour flower mug is in the works, too! Birthday wishes much appreciated!💃
Hey Audrey! Yay another Christmas morning!! Love the sayings on the bowls cute! I haven’t gone for peppered plum yet but I’m starting to see nice combos like yours. Ahhhh rainforest yum! Haha sorry Nat for seaweed made me lol. Yup still not converted lol. Love the idea of the medallion things left clay colour very effective. Oh straw cup I just threw some myself! Love the curry n kimchi. Frosted lemon might look good too?? Oh I love that last mug can’t wait for the tutorial! Congrats again on your 1000!!! Woo hoo!!! Ohhhh that luminary is stunning!!! Gotta see w fairy lights please!!! Xxxxx
Thanks so much, Nat. Love that I made you giggle! I agree, frosted lemon would look good on those sippy straw cups. I am going to make some handbuilt ones when I get home from riding. Thanks for the congratulations. All monetized now. Time to grow on that! I will definately post my birch tree with the fairy lights. I just love how it turned out. Looking forward to your next vid. Sista! xoxo
Thanks for your compliment. 😊 I put the underglaze transfer on first, then the white opal. I wanted some cloudy spots, which I did not get, so maybe I should have put 3 coats for the results I wanted. However, I put 2 coats on the rustic vase, and THAT had cloudy spots like I wanted. 🤷♀️ Who knows! Heehee!
Everything so far is beautiful. I haven’t finished watching yet but had to ask. What brand is the Cactus glaze you used on the platter and mugs? It’s a very pretty green. Thanks Audrey! Now I’ll finish watching “the show”! Always great!
Hahahaha! I do that , too! I get excited to find the answer! It's Spectrum Cactus Green and it is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL! All of Spectrums floating glazes are fab!
Yes, my kiln shelves are kiln washed. I don't know the ratio that I use. I just put enough water in my powder kiln wash to get to light cream consistency. Tha hydrate is just a thin coat. It's very fine powder and spreads easy and goes a long way when you spread it out. All of this does not sound very helpful. Sorry!❤️
@@AudreyLynnStudiosthanks, totally helpful indeed. Understand exactly what to do. I've seen/heard of people using normal fine sand between bisque pieces to help keep their shape etc. Has that been something you've seen or tried?
@@MeandmyfireflyEZCreations No. I have not tried that. MY Japanese instructor used that so I do, and I have tried anything else. That's not to say I do everything he did. In fact, I am much more experimental, but THAT I do.
Love the birch tree luminaire 😊. Also beautiful work with greens ❤️. I agree. Turning 60 is a privilege. I too am thankful. Awesome unload
Thanks so much, Lisa! Yup, we are blessed to be part of the 60's Club! 💃💃 Thanks for your kind compliments!❤️
