Altitude is a real thing. As a South American who witnessed superior teams getting obliterated against mediocre teams because of that. I can say it’s a real thing. The coach of my team had heart issues after a match in Bolivia. All the dude did was walk back and forth in the side of the field.
Yeah especially if going there fast, i once drove from the sea so sea level up to top of a island, then took a zipline to near highest peak which was 7500m above the sea. Damm i could feel every step up there was so draining it was insane. But to be expected if you are at sea level in the morning and up at ~7500m for lunch 😅

Other people couldn't hang in the ring, but Strickland has the gas tank, temperament, and physical resilience to let Pereira actually train. Most people don't have the gas and wilt under a few heavy shots. Look up them training together. They go long hard rounds.
