Ist zwar schon etwas älter, aber absolut der Hammer. Ich fiebere hier mit. Macht das eine gute Laune, nur alleine beim anschauen. Unglaublich toll, was da geboten wurde.
Das schönste Video seit langem. Die Parallelfahrt ist vom allerfeinsten. Diesen Gästen wurde richtig was geboten. Die Lokführer sind einfach Spitze
Heute erst dieses Meisterwerk entdeckt. Vielen Dank, toll gemacht. Erster Waggon hinter Lock. Besser geht es nicht. Auch der Sound ist sehr gut festgehalten. Keine Windgeräusche usw. Klasse.

Fand die 18.201 so toll, das ich mir das Roco H0 Modell plus 2ten Tender gekauft habe und mit Loksound Dekoder umgebaut habe. Einfach optisch und akustisch ein Genuss.

deswegen sind sonderfahrten in sachsen auch so schön besonders bei der tharandter landschaft
Der Lokführer von der 18-201 ist ja mal gut drauf! Der gibt den Leuten auf der Brücke bei 23:40 noch mal ne richtige Ladung Öl und Dampf mit. Ich hätte es gern gerochen :-) Schönes Video!!
Und das junge Mädel bei 8:42 weiß auch nicht so genau, was Ihr da grade um die Ohren föhnt. Hoffentlich jetzt eine weitere Dampflokbegeisterte ;-) Besser als der schnöde Nahverkehrszug auf den Sie wahrscheinlich grade wartet...
Thank you for sharing. Last week at a Large Scale Train show in York, PA (USA) I was able to purchase this exact model, 1 gauge, made by the Fulgurex Co. in Switzerland. Glad to find out that it was in operation last year.

18-201 is still in regular use as far as I am aware. The day after this video was taken I rode behind it from Dresden to Leipzig and back
Hi Spamcan81, glad you liked my video. There are a lot of things allowed in Germany which nanny state UK would not permit. Can you imagine parallel running being permitted in UK? Gosh - a train running on the wrong track, how dangerous!
In die 70er war ich Deutch Arbeitvermittlerungsfirma in die nähe von Stuttgart und in Geissllingen/Rampe (Bf's mahmen) da habe ich Elloks BR E 44; 44_5 BB; E94(CC) uns die E118 E119; uns las Sonderzug ein VT 11, leider nur einen Wannen Tender im Bush.

What an incredible experience ... was that Dave Court I saw driving the BR18 pacific? Maybe not! Talk about playing trains .... can't see it happening on a mainline in the UK, sadly. Why didn't I get to know about this? Andy from Doncaster

German steam engines aren't really out of service they can still be seen on the german rail network so sites like this are more common.
I am a aware 18 201 was painted a solid red for a period of time and for many years now it has been red and green. Has there ever been thought to painting the Lok back into the original colors of the Henschell-Wegmann tank engine streamliner, for a while at least? The same colors (I presume) as the 1928 "Rheingold" and the "Fiegender Hamburger". That combination of colors of violet and cream with aluminium above it all are in my opinion some of the finest ever applied to any express passenger train.
This steam loco was 'built' 1960-61. Green livery with white stripes was original painting. Please read en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DR_18_201

Chris the Matching electric locomotives for the Y wagen are DR Baureihe 250 & 243 these are DB BR155 & 143 Diesel DB BR232 DR Baureihe
Thanks for your comment. I have H0 scale models of BR155, 143 and 232 in my collection together with the ROCO 18 201 which all run on my layout

Die 18 201 ist nun die schnellste Dampflok der Welt. Durch das LNER 4468 'Mallard' aus ihre Betrieb ist genommen, und die schnellste geschwinrigkeit von dem Jahren '30 160 km/h ist, ist die 18201 die Schnellste.
Mallard erreicht 126 Stundenmeilen (201.6km / h) am 3. Juli 1938. Es ist jedoch ein Museum Lokomotive und ist nicht mehr in Ordnung ist. 18201 ist immer noch aktiv und registriert, gehen bis zu 180 km / h (112,5 Stundenmeilen)
