    For those who like to criticize Serena I ask which current players on tour will have 23 Grand Slam titles, 73 tournament titles , 351 match wins in major tournaments when they are retired. Yes she will turn 39 years old in September and she is still currently ranked # 9 in the world. That is a credit to her skills and endurance. She is still competitive when so many others that are younger have retired. Who in the top ten women will still be on tour in ten years and ranked in the top ten?

      Serena is running the risk of cutting a sorry figure in the tennis circuit. She looks like an old athlete who still believes she can compete with younger, stronger players. Why ruin an image that took a lifetime to build? Do you think that Federer would still keep playing if he got beaten by someone ranked as low as Sakkary, struggling to beat a player ranked as her former opponent, Rus?

    She has lounge issues, she was a mother with a veeery difficult pregnancy, she has been playing for over 20 years and most tennis players are already retired at her age. She became the best tennis player in history and set the bar even higher for generations to come. And still people sitting comfortably in a couch has the guts to critize her. Wow! What a world!

    I see a lot of negative comments about Serena here. Can you imagine how America would regard a Man who had won 23 grand slams over the past 20 years? He would be treated like a god. I dont think Serena gets enough credit for her on court work. Just my observations and opinion.

    Serena does not move fast enough anymore and her stamina is also fading. She should lose 20 kg and do hard endurance training, otherwise I cannot see any major titles in her future. She is not getting younger. Her future options: Either tough it out for a last hooray, quit or just keep hanging around for a couple of match wins on a not so ambitious basis for fun.

    • @alf3494
      @alf3494 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used to think that maybe if she lost some weight she would be faster. But she has a certain frame and if she were to lose any kgs she may not be as strong as she is now, it might be the opposite she may grow weaker. If it was just weight she would have lost it already with a nutrition regimen.

    • @garygary7550
      @garygary7550 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Agreed. She is not fit for 2020 tennis. She isn't fit to play in nyc August heat plus humidity. Unfortunately she can't rely on her talent any more so she must compensate with painful endurance training sessions and a focused diet that would lean her out and get her to be able to have longer rally endurance. She was playing to high most of this match and needs to play lower. It's hard to do with the extra weight.

    Ok, it is normal that something like that is happening. She is 39 years of age and a family at home. In the history most tennis players were not the same when they had families and kids at home. This is the way of life. You can't remane the same all the time, you can't be perfect all the time and after the age of 40 there are the smallest chances. Things will never be the same again.

      Thiem doesn't like her, after that incident with his press conference, when Serena couldn't wait for her turn and she asked the press organisers to have her interview immediately. They listened to her, and kicked Thiem out of the room, while he was talking and he was understandably shocked and pissed off.

      Katerina Patiniotis it was the Roland Garros organizers that made that mistake and she even told them that was unfair cos she could have gotten the smaller room but the organizer felt she fits the bigger room( which she didn’t demanded) . She ws in a hurry cos her chopper was waiting and she has a dinner to catch up to with Alexis. It wasn’t her fault. Y’all just love drama and making her the bad guy

      @@ayoayo7730 It was clearly HER mistake. She lost her match, she was pissed off and wanted to be interviewed immediately and leave, and she told the organisers to be interviewed asap.
      Thiem won his match and he was already in the room giving his interview. The organisers kicked him out to make way for Serena to have her interview. The rules are that the winners giving their interviews first, and the losers (Serena lost her match) had to wait for her turn. I'm pretty sure she knows these rules but decided to break them, and treat a top 5 tennis player with disrespect and disregard him, acting like an entitled, arrogant diva. Unsportsmanlike behaviour at its very best.
      "Oh! I'm black...oh! I'm a woman! oh! I'm a mother.." let her piss all over them and treat them all like sh!t just because she's black, a mother and a woman. Enough with her sh!t. Can she be a nice person? I don't think so.

    Serena, you need to lose 20 to 30 lbs, I sure like to see you win again. You looked tired at and after the 2nd set. No matter what happens you will always be remembered as a great tennis player.

    • @juli8orodriguez44
      @juli8orodriguez44 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Philip Stacey The reason i believe Serena needs to lose around 30 lbs is so that she would be lighter, stronger, have more stamina, and lots of energy. When I see her play I can see that she is having a hard time though she is a fighter and great champion. a raicist is one who thinks to be above others. I am not a racist you see I am color blind.
