there is minor differences in injector flow rates, and the code is actually calibration instructions for the cars ECU computer, to adjust/calibrate the fuel flow with each injector, in the injector factory they test them and print the code (the flow rate) on top of the injectors..
I replaced an injector on my golf mk6 2.0tdi and it's still idling really roughly..I haven't yet coded the new injector...could coding cause this problem?

So basic, you wright the code numbers on the injectors that must be replaced or the new injector heads?
You write down the injector codes from the injector body. You then code these injectors in with the tool
Could you update the Siemens injectors on the CAYB with the newer Delphi 04L130277D units?

Yes this will very much likey to cause a ruff idle
It's best to code in the injector before runing the car.

The injector no 1 is the closest to the flywheel,not the front bumper!
On this car injector number 1 was on the far left if you stand in front of the car
Renault cylinder 1 is next to gearbox on a golf it's by the pulley side or far left from looking at car from the front to back of car hope that helps
