nice vid. came in handy. i don't do oil filter and oil replacement but i did the diesel filter (on the left there). there was another video showing that one.
Thanks for the comments, glad you enjoyed the video. We have a great tutorial on the Fuel Filter replacement on the Passat TDI, not sure if that is what you watched.

Quick tips, loosen the oil filter all the way but do not remove it before draining oil to allow the oil to drain out of the filter housing so it gets drained while doing your oil change. Also remove the T45 bolts after the T25 screws so you dont have the hold up the belly pan. And the correct torque spex for the oil filter is 25 +or- 5nm which is 14.7 to 22.1 ft lbs. Technically 11 is low but shouldnt cause an issue.
Thanks for the tips Bryce, great suggestions on the under tray. Appreciate the correction on the oil filter housing as well, it should be at 18 ft. lbs. not 11. Thanks again for hanging out, Cheers!
Thank you 😊, do you have any more videos on Passat 2013?
My AC isn't working 😢, check engine light is on 😭too.
Thanks for the comments Patty, here are all the current videos we have on the B7 Passat - th-cam.com/play/PLFnK0z3T00fUdCPKGUOVn-zfdehEpOKK8.html&si=aQtMTJzAJcZg-g0Y
Please let us know what error codes you are currently getting and we might be able to point you in the right direction.
Cheers!
My brother has a 2014 Passat and has 301,000 miles on it. He changes the oil every 3000mi. He uses Castrol oil only.
Thanks for the comments, appreciate the feedback. Cheers!
Show how to change the interior light bulbs to LED
Great video idea Daniel, we will work on putting this video together. Stay tuned to the channel, Cheers!
There's a lot of vids showing how. It's pretty easy to do but the led's will be really really bright.
Show how to upgrade to digital gauge cluster
Hey Daniel, we will look into that upgrade. We know it is more straight forward on the 2016+ models but we'll take a look. Thanks again for the suggestion, Cheers!
What oil interval do you recommend? I've been doing mine at 9k but it seems like it's too long of an interval.
Thanks for the question. We have been following the manufacturer recommended intervals which are 10k for oil, 20k for fuel filter and 40k for the DSG filter and fluid. We are using Torco SR-1 5W-30 for our oil changes. We use the OEM VW parts for the Fuel Filter and DSG trans service.
We will posting the fast method for the DSG trans service to the channel in the coming weeks so stay tuned for that.
Here's the link to the Fuel Filter video in case you missed it - th-cam.com/video/EDKh5dfKJRM/w-d-xo.html
Good luck on your future VW projects, Cheers!
