nah this and Batman and Robin made me feel like a superhero myself. it was amazingly cheesy but amazing when you're 5 years old lol
and yes, this is the first movie, but by season 2 of the show the Red, Black and Yellow Rangers left the show because of pay. sadly, Yellow would die in real life soon after (RIP).
they have made cameos in future episodes tho, and even White and Pink made a cameo in the 2016 movie.
