Amazing! This is the third time I tried to get Linux running on my win 10 machine. Each previous attempt (different methods) failed for a a host of reasons and I spent hours trying to get them to work with limited success. This worked first time and now I can actually do the work I need to do. Thanks.

I kind of cringe myself because i'm not new when it comes to vm machines/software. But lately on my old laptop or "craptop" i installed kali on bear metal and before that i had a hdd external with 1tb that had a dual boot on the bios.. I can't believe my knowledge is gone black since i stopped using vms for maybe 6 months, thanks anyway David you're always the video's i watch to save myself head each's :D

If anyone ever has problems getting to the bios (maybe you have fast boot enabled) just hold shift when going to the start menu and selecting shut down or restart, it will take you to a screen, choose advanced troubleshooting, and click the option to boot to UEFI firmware (bios)
