Hey, everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the first of our In America videos! They'll be coming out every Monday for the next couple of weeks so look forward to that! 😀
Also, just to clarify for any comments saying we travelled mid-pandemic; this trip was at the start of March before Covid was classed as a pandemic and before the US travel ban. As we said in the opening "We've left by the time you've seen this!" 😂

at least you got in and out before all this CoVid hit, and i'm hoping you're all keeping well over there.
i suppose that "Try Disney Food" would have been too derivative and likely to draw lawyers, considering my own reactions last time i ate at Disneyland. (Though that was '91 and it *could* have improved in the meantime.)
IHOP is somewhat iconic, but there's other breakfast choices it would have been interesting to see that i don't know if you've got in Ireland. (Filibertos, Chik-Fil-A, etc)

A French toast sandwich exists. It’s called a Monte Cristo. They used to be quite popular about 35 years ago.
The way I had it, the center of it is melted Swiss cheese with Turkey and ham sandwiched between the bread, dipped in beaten egg, then fried on a griddle. Sprinkled lightly with powdered sugar.

All the while, we have been trying to save up for a new car because our current one is almost 3 years old and will be needing an oil change and new tires soon, so screw that, luckily the dealership said they could roll our old car payment into a new car payment that would only be 35% of our monthly take home. Nah, cinnamon roll French toast is where it’s at. Top it with a mix of brown sugar an cinnamon, as thick as you dare.

I almost never have french toast with powdered sugar. I mean, it's common but I don't think it's as common as you think it is.

The collective gasp of horror when they ate French toast with their hands and not a fork bc....syrup. it's not even French toast til then. Like spaghetti without sauce😂

Agreed. UNLESS it's fancy French toast. My mom always made French toast with melted cheese on top and cinnamon sugar. That didn't need the syrup.

Agreed. I feel like the French toast segment needs a warning before it. "The French toast is not treated appropriately in this video. Be advised this is video is not an accurate depiction of how French toast is meant to be eaten."

"it's not french toast until it has syrup"
Silly American comment about food that is older than America itself. You can eat it multiple ways, it doesn't have to have syrup.
