Good point on the chamber flag. I still use the orange little plastic tab thing that my M&P 15-22 came with. Awesome little gun - that I really should go clean right now...
Fantastic video and awesome shooting. The S&W M&P 15-22's are great rifles. I had one since 2009 and it is so much fun to shoot. However, I did not know they could shot so fast.
"I got a lot to learn.." LMAO!! Are you kidding me? Who's gonna teach you?! Anyways, I appreciate how humble you are given that my splits would be 10 times yours is for me to compete with your accuracy. You sir, are a class act. Thank you for the video and taking the time to teach others.
I've got the CMMG conversion kit, for my AR. After a few simple mods, it runs great. It definitely gums up my rifle, so I make sure to run some .223 through it after 100 rounds or so of .22lr. I also use my DIY plate rack a lot. Very good training tool, with a shot timer. It takes a ton of discipline to see your sight picture, when you're trying to shoot fast. But, it's a must. You mentioned not applying more trigger pressure than necessary. I always imagine "snapping" the trigger. This gives me just enough pressure to break the shot, and also gets me quickly back to reset. I've always hated the term "squeezing" the trigger. This mindset causes more problems, than good. "Squeezing" often makes shooters squeeze their entire grip, which torques the gun off target. I think it also makes the motion sound too slow, and robotic. I like to imagine that the trigger is a thin glass rod. As soon as it "snaps", I wanna get away from that broken glass, and back to reset. I just wanted to share that with everybody. I hope it helps...
If I could have a wish come true I would be so honored to 2 weeks of instruction from Jerry that would improve my knowledge and accuracy with rifle and gun by an unbelievable amount, I could not put a value on it. Jerry's teaching and experience is so valuable. I love you Jerry.
If you watch his trigger finger it's truly a thing of beauty. It's perfect. The small little controlled pull is what every shooter wishes they had. Amazing. Watch him shoot that Tavor in the intro. Look at his finger. Incredible.
Thanks Jerry, love watching you shoot. You make it look so easy and it's takes so much skill and years of practice practice. It's really a learning experience watching you
I've had trouble using the lighter trigger before, mostly because I am used to the battle trigger. After a couple rounds I adjusted some, but STILL I would definitely need more practice. Nice shooting Mr. Miculek.
Nice to see the best shooter in the world training with .22lr. I run drills with my TX-22, and my CMMG .22 conversion kit, wayyyyyy more than I use 9mm, and .223. I run drills 3-4 days a week, so you can understand how it could get very expensive. I was worried that the .22 training was possibly doing more harm, than good. However, the shot cadence is about all that changes, with the change of calibers. If "the man" endorses .22 training, then it CAN'T be that bad. lol I didn't get to practice any today, so ill make up for it tomorrow. At least 500 rounds. GET SOME!!!!
I am really impressed with Jerry Miculek! The only other person that I knew that had Jerry's personality and love for the shooting sports was my Grandfather. Lefty Burgess. I am envious of all those who have had the opportunity to stand in this mans training class. Good job Jerry!
I appreciate all of the instruction. I like the idea of making sure you stop on each target & have a distinct the site picture you want before moving on, and I liked the safety flag in the chamber.
Thanks for the video! Great tips and I appreciate that you didn't cut the run with a miss from the video - makes your presentation very authentic. Thanks!
Thanks so much! My especially appreciated concept -- a light recoiling gun will better show a shooter's bad (and good) technique, making a 0.22 a good gun to train with.
Great video Jerry! Thanks!!! And those M&P 15-22's are simply outstanding, by far the best rimfire AR clone, BY FAR! I have on of the MOE versions, and I shoot it more than all my other rifles combined. (Well, I did back when I could still get .22lr ammo at a reasonable price. It's been pretty quite for the last year or so.)
I can remember shooting with you in the mid-80's in Mansura, we had a club called the Cajun Combat Shooters - I think back then you used to work for a living and shoot on weekends :)
I learn something new with every video I watch. Good thing I follow on facebook though or els I would have missed it since it didn't show up in my sub box feed for youtube.
We could destroy all ammo but then we would have destroy all arrows, then all knives then all bats and golf clubs, then all rocks. Man has always loved killing each other. And Man will ALWAYS love killing each other. Whomever said "The pen is mightier than the sword" was 100% wrong, actually dead wrong.
Thanks Jerry I`ve been shooting fast running targets for decades, not optimized taught my son for last 25. I ordered your CD now optimized, changed us to nuclear on speed & accuracy , We got the shot timer so much fun. I though I was shooting smoking fast hahaha not even close, Kid kicks my but, still a lot of laughs. Spent time studying your CDs and took Son out, His mouth dropped open and said OK give it up WTF are you doing, he's 30 now says what he wants. Thanks for making the CD set I had heard bout triggers never knew it to be so important to fast shooting & Accuracy .Live well Jerry.
Jerry I'm sure you've been asked this a million times but here's a million and 1. How many rounds have you shot in your life? and how many rounds a day do you shoot? And just wanted to say that I'm proud to be from Louisiana same as you. Your amazing at gun work I'm always in ah!! at your skill and techniques. GOD BLESS AMERICA
Jerry i was wondering if you could maybe do a video on how quick YOU can shoot splits...i know being a good speed shooter is about being accurate and effective...quickly. but i was wondering exactly, how fast the trigger finger still is? Amazing Videos! thanks for the knowledge!!
Jerry, Since you are using a dedicated .22 LR rifle in this video. What are your thoughts on the .22 LR drop in kits. What are your thoughts on their function and the effects on the parent weapon.
Thanks Jerry! Enjoyed the video greatly. So are you only releasing the trigger far enough to reset it when you mention using the shortest distance to pull the trigger?
After great trigger control - do you talk about target acquisition how or what to use so these +50 eyes can see the target - I see you using reflex sights on your guns - More info on those would be interesting to hear. What do you tell your optometrist ? are your bifocals set up so they are higher or bigger to see front sight ? thanks for great instruction.
I love how Jerry says that 5 center mass shots in less than a second and a half is slow and his react to shoot time of less than 3/4 of a second is also slow apparently. Lol.
Sir, Please share your info on the type of mount that is on your M&P 1522 with the shown Strike fire. Our family of 5 shooters really value your direction. Many thanks, MTK
He is right, cannot beat a 22 for practice. I use a S&W 617 for a practice gun for my 686 +. It seems to me anyone that can get good with a 22 can transition over to most anything. BB
Is there an large accuracy difference between isosceles stance or weaver stance? I find myself squaring off a lot due to my military training. I don't want to retrain myself because it will interfere with my performance on duty.
Shades Thalon That's just my opinion. He's one of the most versatile shooters in my opinion as well. I never said he was the best, but that he's a really good shooter. Especially revolvers. Again, am I not allowed to have an opinion? Do you think he's a bad shooter or an average shooter? By the way I wasn't comparing him to anyone else to begin with. I'm simply saying he's a well rounded pistol/rifle/shotgun shooter overall. On top of that Jerry is a good man. Never heard anything negative from him, or controversial.
Shades Thalon Roger that. I apologize. I've had some pretty rough encounters with people on youtube lately. But yeah Jerry is a stand up guy. What country are you out by the way?
Shades Thalon Thanks, I just want to let you know that I have a lot of respect for Scandinavian countries, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland. Just wish the EU or European Union didn't control those countries, I teach secondary education to high school students here in the U.S. - Our country isn't great anymore, one day maybe I'll get to visit Iceland or Denmark. We're not the greatest anymore, we never were. I speak German, somewhat, and would love to visit there. You obviously have a much better pulse on what goes on there than I do. But still i'd like to one day go over to Iceland and visit, just always have had much respect to Europeans overall, but I'm not entirely thrilled with what they've done as far as the EU is concerned. You take care, okay...
+Shades Thalon Well, he still holds the most records, including the record for having so many records. Break into his house and last thing you hear “HaHa. GET SOME!”
forgot the *BEEP*
But the thing is you won't be able to hear it... All you see is the his mouth and him taking out his timer from his pocket.
You’re long dead before he says “get some” lol
"Here we goooo!!!" Lol then he unleashes full-auto hell from a semi O.O....
People around being dramatic about the recoil of a 50: ugh that reaaally hurts
Jerry: pew pew rapid fire
I like how honest this guy is. Not alot of people in his position show faults.
Jerry has made me a believer in chamber flags
Good point on the chamber flag. I still use the orange little plastic tab thing that my M&P 15-22 came with. Awesome little gun - that I really should go clean right now...

in video i was just SHOOT THE DAMN GUN
I was thinking the exact same thing. Love how he is so humble and always trying to learn more and improve. That is why he is the world's best.
The best master never calls himself a master

shooting more ammunition out of a firearm will never clean it
If I could have a wish come true I would be so honored to 2 weeks of instruction from Jerry that would improve my knowledge and accuracy with rifle and gun by an unbelievable amount, I could not put a value on it. Jerry's teaching and experience is so valuable. I love you Jerry.
You Sir, are a national treasure. Thanks, for sharing some of your knowledge with us mortals.
imagine a squad of jerrys
Now imagine a division of Jerrys
If not how about a regiment
How about an army of Jerrys
What about a nation of jerrys
We DO have a unit of Jerrys. Folks hear us training, we get very few visitors.
Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. And 2 million rounds later, you may shoot like Jerry.
I wish.
It's really a learning experience watching you
Every time I see you shoot you amaze me you are the best thanks for the great video
I've had trouble using the lighter trigger before, mostly because I am used to the battle trigger. After a couple rounds I adjusted some, but STILL I would definitely need more practice. Nice shooting Mr. Miculek.
A gentleman and a scholar in the shootist art! Thanks for taking the time sir! A pleasure to watch and learn from a master.
Good call on the cheap chamber flags! I am definitely doing that. Thank you!
"Just goes to show, I got a lot to learn."
What a boss.
My favorite video!!! That 930 is calling my name Mr. Miculek!
I always love it when he gets excited.
I would have loved to pick your brain about recoil management when I was a saw gunner! Hats off to you sir!!
that's such a cool gun. I have one and I absolutely love it.
Definitely my favorite video, always looking for ways to be faster and more accurate.
Every time i watch one of your videos i learn something new!
I cannot wait to try this drill on my M&P 15-22! Thanks Jerry!
This guy is a human sentry gun, anyone agree?
Jerry is a modded scuff controller
He’s not human
Nah sometimes those sentry guns miss...
Great video Jerry! Thanks!!! And those M&P 15-22's are simply outstanding, by far the best rimfire AR clone, BY FAR! may all ur guns jam......:)
@@glennestockley thats messed up yo
Jerry is a stud he man handled the .50 like a champ
Absolutely splendid rifle techniques !
I love the simple chamber flag idea, thanks!
we used a thick bright yellow rope with a knot on one end as a chamber flag for a carbine (5.56 cals) class, with the bolt released pinching the rope
Man I love watching Jerry
Ahhhhhh. He's not tactical
Jerry is my spirit animal.
Ive been watching N learning important tips.... He seems to always show so much fun n enjoyment on the range😹
I can remember shooting with you in the mid-80's in Mansura, we had a club called the Cajun Combat Shooters - I think back then you used to work for a living and shoot on weekends :)
Outstanding video with great instruction and presentation.
Jerry is my idol. I learn so much.
I keep learning so please keep sharing.
Simply OUTSTANDING Jerry !!!!!
This is very useful information jerry! Thank you for all That you do to help the future if this sport
thanks for the trigger pull tips, so i can use that geissele trigger better. just a few small things here and there make you a little bit better
Jerry is the Jimi Hendrix of competitive shooting
Great as always Jerry
I learn something new with every video I watch. Good thing I follow on facebook though or els I would have missed it since it didn't show up in my sub box feed for youtube.
Thanks Jerry. Great video as always. I will try practicing with my 10-22. I like the idea of shooting steel for instant feedback.
How often do you clean your gun and can you do a video on the process. If you shoot you should know how to clean love your videos
Jerry! Let me know if youre having any giveaways coming up. Youre the best
I love my S&W 15-22.
Just awesome - shooting and shooter!
Great video, thanks Jerry!
It's definitely cheaper to train with a .22lr because it actually costs you nothing since you can't find .22lr ammo anymore.
destroy all ammo......let u goofs play with blanks.....:)
Glenn Stockley c
depending no location, I can pick some up every day of the week where i am
We could destroy all ammo but then we would have destroy all arrows, then all knives then all bats and golf clubs, then all rocks. Man has always loved killing each other. wtf? I wish I could post a picture of my 22 bullets. I've got a ton. they aren't hard to find around MS or LA
Like the bullet organization in the background,
Great video thanks for all the good information
Great training video, Jerry. What optics are you running on the S&W 15-22? I have two of them and they are great guns.
Thanks Jerry. Very helpful.
Great video, always great information.
Always can use advice from the best.
That V Drill with your AR was amazing....
Another great idea, training with a less powerful firearm to focus on and increase technique. Love it!
Your shooting skills is beyond human! I couldn't get that good if i had 100 years to practice..
Thanks Jerry I`ve been shooting fast running targets for decades, not optimized taught my son for last 25. love this guy
Thanks Jerry!! This is great!
Useful drills. Is it best to start with a dot sight before progressing to glass for these?
great information

Jerry I apologies if this has been asked and answered, but what mount and scope are you using on that (SW M&P 15-22) set up?
It's in the about:
Equipment: S&W M&P-15 .22 AR-15 rifle, Vortex StrikeFire red dot
Wow! 4 people thumbs down on this; I too like to live dangerously...but this is just crazy. Even Chuck Norris wouldn't do that to Jerry.
Very informative, thanks!
Enjoyed it thanks
Love it...stay tactical
I try to shoot competitive. Jerry's is the best
The only man who can quick scope irl.
I love how Jerry says that 5 center mass shots in less than a second and a half is slow and his react to shoot time of less than 3/4 of a second is also slow apparently. Lol.

Kyle Roethle its all about practically from what jerry says. A weaver stance limits your transitions, field of view, and time to aquire targets.
Does the American gold trigger fits perfectly without any modification or special installation procedure in the M&P 15-22 (the S&W22 LR cal. carbine)?
Lol I think we have a mess in their. Let me load up some more. Lol love this video
This is great wish I could shoot like that

What activates the timer and what stops it???
thats what i wana know! haha
graham Nickerson
Probably has a mic that picks up a sound set over a certain decibel. You set the number of shots...the timer picks up the sound of each shot and records your spacing and overall time. Wouldn't be hard.
If you have a nice time you can actually tu e it to only listen to the specific decibels of your rifle too incase youre at a busy range. But you can also set times or random times from the time you hit start on the beeper so you have time to prep before the initial beep
Jerry is having too much fun
i dont think i have ever seen someone love their job this much
Jerry, your my hero! I have your brake on my AR15!
Thank you for the kind words.
***** i'm doing well...won't be seeing gunmen in hell......dwl...
