Originaly i am from Barnsley but when Dad retired he moved to Bempton. Is it quicker to go that way to Brid? sat nav always takes us off to go on A64 past york that way. I live in Liverpool btw now. i remember has kids going down Garaby hill when we been the seaside and a sand pit incase your brakes failed. lovely motor home. stay safe

      Thank you for subscribing. Going the York way is the quickest way and more scenic. I love how you have the Yorkshire rose on your spade.

      Glad you enjoyed it. The Yorkshire Wolds is our favourite part of Yorkshire, it has beautiful rolling hills with lovely villages here and there. That set up is ideal for short stays as it is quick to put together. Thanks for watching. Kev & Tracey.

    Really enjoyed this video. It’s an area we have never been to. Love the site and your van and outfit is superb. Would be very happy with the lovely nearby beach too. Thanks for a great Sunday evening watch. 😀👍🏻🚐 Trev n Sue

      Thanks so much! It really is a great discovery for us. We've been coming to Bridlington for years but usually to the northern side when we stay at Bridlington CAMC. The south shore has huge sandy beaches and is dog friendly with great walks to nearby villages. We'll definitely be going back. Kev & Tracey.

    Very enjoyable guys, one question if I can we have just had our 1st week away in our mh, it's an older van 2004 and was wondering is the way you went to the site the only route? As I think our van will struggle going up Gatsby hill, we would be travelling from leeds, thanks. The 😊👍

      Thanks for watching. You can travel to Bridlington if you go on the M62 towards Hull and come of at J37 (Howden), Bridlington is signposted there on. This route is a only a little longer and avoids Garrowby Hill.
      Hope this helps.

    Great vlog, can I ask where you got your masks from ? And also the little black shelve on the back of the cushion .........thanks 🚐

      @yorkshiremotoroamers  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching. The mask shown in the video Tracey got from Groupon and is actually a cycling mask, Tracey also got a pack of 3 cotton masks from Poundland for £5. The little black shelf is called a "Slinky sofa table" from Slinky sofa tables UK on the internet, also available from Amazon.

    I can't understand the appeal of a motorhome, easy to drive to destination, then you arrive and you are stuck there, unless you put everything away again and then even if you do, you can't park anywhere at attractions or car parks? I have a caravan, it is harder to get there towing but once there you are free to leave it all behind safe and secure on the camp site and just go instantaneously in the car to attractions etc. We also have a camper van, that is easy to get down narrow lanes and park on continuous touring type holidays like the NC 500 etc. Motorhomes seem such a tying bind and so 'crashy' sounding on route. About South Cliff, we have used South Cliff touring site a few times and it is o.k. apart from during the school holidays, when it reverts to a council estate by the sea. There are signs asking campers to escort their children whilst in the toilets but they ignore it, leaving every toilet soiled or filled with toilet paper and not flushed. This is not the fault of the camp site as it is regularly cleaned but after 10 minutes or so, it is back to a soiled pig sty. The cleaners have my sympathy for having to clean up after the 'people' who misuse the facilities.
