I don't even play FF14 but I watch these anyways because of cool boss mechanics and your excellent presentation.

Mizzteq vs Aether Party finder: In this post I will explain what Aether PF does, how its different if it is and what the descriptions in PF mean.
Fortunately here. Mizzteq does it nearly all the same because this is a very static fight with a lot of platform space being rendered unusable.
4:59: G1 goes NW platform, G2 goes NE platform in nearly all cases. The spreading for the pink circle markers is done entirely Yolo so pick a spot and get there first!
6:50. Yak spreads are assigned using the same general locations as Purgation spots. The minotaurs are as in video
8:40. G1 Left G2 right for towers. Melee/Tanks North tower, Ranged/Healers South tower. Birds are as done in video.
9:57. This strat is the universal strat for this mechanic. The most common names for it are sleepo and Braindead Purgation.
12:30. This is the only way Aether solves Famines Harvest and as such, it gets no mention in PF descriptions usually.
14:26. This is the standard strat for Aether. Static spots. Yak true south. G1 Left G2 right. Tanks invuln beside bad platform together. JP Braindead is the common description name.
14:51. The big difference is here. Aethers common strat is called All Far War. You take your tethers to the opposite platform. So birds are dragged to the bridge thats not connected to the platform with the bird, and the yak tethers spread one to each platform beside the bridge opposite the Yak and 2 two the bridge directly across from the Yak. These positions are usually assigned pre pull. If not, Yak true south, G1 Tank or Ranged left of bridge, G1 Healer or melee on bridge and close to left platform. G2 Healer or Melee on bridge and close to right bridge and finally G2 Tank or Ranged on platform to right of bridge. Remember these are fat line attack's, the enrage is tight and you are 15 minutes into a fight. Wiping here sucks so don't be greedy. If you feel like you got more space to give, give it.

Aether PF now uses the Sleepo Purg markers that correspond to your color since YoshiP basically said it was okay to use them if you already had them saved. Also Aether now favors Inu War since it's less risky to pull off.

I followed…about 15% of that. I get the feeling I’m gonna die a lot and need to find a team willing to run practice

These savage raid mechanics are unfortunately waaaaay too much info for me to memorize. There's just so much shit going on, by the 6:00 I've already forgotten the vast majority of mechanics mentioned before it :(

Idk what I am missing, but I don't understand which icon is spread and which one is stack for inviolate bonds?

The red/green wind icons and their number tell you when you personally / your role group needs to spread. For each stack, one player in each role group will have an additional blue debuff that indicates the stack will be on them.

100% worst fight in YEARS. I keep messing up harvests just bc it’s the first thing there is to pay attention to. I’d rather do light rampant for 11 minutes straight than reclear this fight. Great guide tho!

Why am I like the only person that doesn't understand how Purgation works? I don't understand the numbers and how to tell if I stack or spread. Makes no damn sense.

it's easier than you think. look at your RED debuffs and check their numbers. the red debuffs you get are the ones where you'll need to spread. so if you got I and IV, then you spread first, stack second and third, and spread forth and that's it.

The guides make this fight seem like a lot more is happening than actually is. By far the easiest Savage fight in quite some time. Minus the tight dps check this fights pretty basic in its mechanics thanks to litterally every attack being telegraphed on the floor unlike most savage fights

Dps check is pretty easy, if party buffs and burst are synced, but if you doing pf, holly shit, I tried to help a friend to get his p5s clear o pf, first time I saw p5s enrage.
