When I hear this it reminds me of my baby in heaven whom we lost at Christmas at 13 weeks pregnant. Edelweiss has a sense of grief but also deep love. So funny how a broadway song about patriotism in Austria around 1937, makes me feel all the feelings about my dearly loved baby who we lost.
That's the beautiful thing about music. No matter where you're from or which language you speak, music speaks to us on a primal, emotional level. I am so sorry for what you've gone through.
