You can slow down any TH-cam video with the gear button, and pause and replay anytime you like. Plus there is a link in the video description to the pattern page that you can follow along with as well. Most people enjoy learning how to improve their pattern reading skills following along with pattern, chart and supplemental video.

Hi, thanks for the pattern. I have a question. On row 2, you say chain 5 after three dc but in your blog it says chain 3.
Row 2: ch6 (counts as dc, ch3), [skip 1 st, dc3tog over next 3 sts, CH3, skip next st, sc in sp before next st, CH3]x2, skip next st, dc3tog over next 3 sts, ch3, dc in last st.
I have put caps where it says chain 3. Please tell me which one is right.

Kristin on your Molten Lava pattern on the written pattern it goes from Row 15 to Row 17 is that just a mistake on the counting or is Row 16 missing from the actual pattern.

Kristen, I have been working up this pattern and there seems to be a misprint. After row 36 the pattern jumps to 38 and as the edging begins after row 38 , it doesn't allow the correct row set up from 38. It appears there are rows missing or is it best to end at row 36. Thank you for all the beautiful patterns you offer.

The pattern has some steps missing if I compare it to this video. The sc in the chain 5 space is not mentioned in some of the rows, so without the video, there’s no way for me to find out why my project looks different.

The pattern is SO beautiful, but I've been crocheting for about 8 years and can't follow this video at all. I'm constantly pausing and rewinding because you go SO fast! Also, you don't really spend time showing what stitch you are going into, you say it so fast I have to pause on the image to know where to insert my hook. Maybe in the next video you can spend more time on how to identify the stitch you put the hook into? I'll try to follow the written pattern perhaps instead as you suggested to other commenters. Because it really is lovely.

You have to be about the most FRUSTRATING instructor I have ever seen. Please think about slowing down and making sure that we can follow where you are and where you are going next. Your designs are pretty - too bad I will NEVER be able to make them since I cannot keep up!

I, too, was frustrated. But, I clicked the three dots at upper corner of video and slowed down the video to half speed. She sounds drunk, lol 😆, but at least I can keep up.
My issue is that she doesn’t show us her work as she’s going. Her hands and fingers are always in the way, and you can’t tell which hole she’s in. Also, she says “next hole” when it’s really the next cluster or 5-chain set. Pretty confusing.

It’s a beautiful shawl, but if I have to pause every 2 seconds to catch up to the 3 steps ur ahead of me by, it’s too much. I’m a visual learner and I tried slowing down the video speed but it still didn’t help. :-(

I'm sorry but you move too fast. You should stipulate that unless we have the pattern we won't be able to follow. Alot of us are visual learners so unless you slow down or make your channel for advanced people only. It's very hard to keep playing back every few stitches also when your using such large chains and nothing looks right. I'm sorry. I don't mean for this to sound mean. It's just if your teaching then maybe think of ALL types of learners that will be seeing your videos. Thank you and have a nice day.

You didn't read a word I said and it's clear by the hundreds if not thousands of feedback I read about you that everyone that has complained about you moving so fast and asking you politely to slow down that you have the same response to ALL the critics. You tell them to follow the pattern. Lol!! I had asked you to slow down because most crafters are VISUAL LEARNERS meaning, they need to watch the craft in person to learn it NOT A PATTERN!
DO YOU REALIZE OR JUST NOT CARE ABOUT HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE WOULD FOLLOW YOU IF YOU WOULD ...... JUST SLOW DOWN???? HOW DIFFICULT IS THAT? YOU WOULD RATHER DISMISS THEIR COMMENT FOR SOME REASON THAT MAKES ZERO SENSE TO ANYONE BUT YOU!
