What a kit. I finally seem to have broken the back of it😄. It's been a lot of fun between the three of us,all the reseach and working out how to correct the problems has been really enjoyable👍👍😃😎. Funny,it all starting because I'd seen several builds with the wheels rubbing and round 2 re-releasing it without correction🤔😃
Thanks👍,I'm sure many screens could be fitted like this and,to be honest,it's only a few lengths of strip pressed tightly to the edges of the screens. 👍🤔I will make more of the interior to tidy it all up👍😉
Cheers Seamy. The glass cut better than I expected. I think the warm weather helped as it seemed softer and less brittle than normal. Not that I was outside but the air is generally warm here now😀
Looking good Pete. Hey, I thought I was suppose to struggle with the glass first! LOL! Well, I am glad you did it first as I am about to do it in mine, but then I saw your video so I don't feel too worried about their fit and finish, and that's a relief! - I am down to my last 8 parts and then I am finished with the NASCAR! - I have to go to a video #7, but that will be the finish of the Fairlane Cobra. Thankfully I can see the light at the end of the tunnel! I knew there was a better air cleaner in that Mercury Cougar kit! As for the Fairlane body line, I also pointed out the vertical body panel line going from the rear fenders close to the rear bumper. It's for the tail light shrouds. Like what you are doing with that front window to locate the mirror and sun visors. Mine won't be that complex. As I said, I am just trying to get the beast together. Fine tuning will be for a future model build...very future as I don't have a 3rd kit!
For some reason,Trevor, the piece of glass,I had,cut really nicely, not brittle like most, though I always put masking tape on both sides before cutting👍😉😃
Nice job fitting that glass, I know how hard that can be to not take too much off in any spot. As far as body lines, most kit bodies don't have the groove down from the front fenders, they have it connected to the rocker panel as if it's one piece.
The glass went really well,Ted . All the panel lines have been checked against real cars. Ive tried to get as much genuine information as possible,so an accurate factory stock car can be made. I'll probably fill some again in the course of my builds to get a smoother custom finish. I intend to build a couple of these cars and between the three of us,mainly Trevor, have been checking everything
That's a brilliant idea resizing the windows and adding the strips to make them fit better. 👍
Thank you👍😃. I hope it helps with your models🤞😉👍😎. Thanks for watching and best wishes from jolly old England👍😎 Pete 🤓
Nice work there Pete. Cheers Bob 👍
The detail is looking nice. Keep the updates coming. 👍

All looking great 👍
It's rolling along now.i hope to spray the body before we run out of good weather🤞😀
Nice update on both. I like what you've done with the windows. I'll be watching
Thanks Mike. I'm sure many screens could be held this way🤔👍
Nice job Pete, windows fit real nice, thanks for the vidio!
Thanks👍. The technique should work on most models👍😎. Thanks for watching and best wishes from jolly old England 👍😎Pete 🤓
Good idea Pete should make for a better more secure fit 👍👍

As a graphic designer, I'm very fond of the sketches and marks on the preps X)
I've been a fabricator most of my life and live by datum points and pi 👍😃
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 Cool!
Great idea Pete, I will have to try it.
The front windscreen gets trapped in the channel formed by my reinforcing the A pillars 🤔👍
nice ford that is a nice muscle car
Cheers Theo 👍🍻😃. You'll find Ford's are a bit of a theme on my channel👍😎
Looking good Pete.

@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 For sure. You really want to protect that glass. Probably why I don't want to cut mine down! LOL!
It's always scary,mate☹
@@petesmodelcarcustoms584 Yeah...and there's the risk of running glue on the clear glass too!
@@MonsterHobbiesModelCarGarage I very rarely use glue although I sometimes put black acrylic paint in pva and use that
