Can't imagine theLPL saying" greasy as fuck". Nice one mate! Trying to rejuvenate an Ingersoll close shackle padlock. Got the broken key out and found my two other keys. But the cylinder is jammed, won't turn. Gave up on it 25years ago bought it when I was 18 as my motorcycle padlock 40 years ago. New £80. Got whacked hard and just stopped working. But the body is so tough I can't imagine it distorted. Heat oil and ultrasound might help.

Great job, cool lock, I bet it could be 3D printed, but I would just print multiple levers the same and hand cut the gates, but I don't have a 3d printer, or if the design works that way.

When you stop tensioning on this lock, do the picked levers fall off or do they stay picked?

Awesome work! you made it look easy as if it were a regular ole pin tumbler. Thanks for mentioning the tension not being so heavy, I've been attempting to open one from time to time over the last few years all the other video's I've seen at least, tend to suggest using heavy tension/twin tension technique.
I've tried both methods as it didn't come with a key, I have no idea if it still functions properly? so I hope I'm not wasting my time or yours. Gunna go grab it and have a play.
Lacking a key if at some point I can get an open what method would you use to remove the core/cylinder from the body? with out locking it back up? As to decode the lock/legit gutting.
Also the spool looking part on the front of the lock, mine looks identical, minus the spool looking part, what function does it serve? to me it looks like a neodymium magnet? lol
I'll stop the integration/rambling/questioning and say well done! and thanks for sharing, Cheers :)

      Thank you.
The spool looking thing is a stud for attaching a chain.
I’m sure your lock is still working there isn’t a much to go wrong.
As for tension. It really is just a case of enough too get the levers to bind.
When a lever sets it will click then go solid. Then just move to the next binder.
If your tension is too much then you will end up forcing the lever which will possibly go straight passed the gate into an over set.
You will also ruin your picks.
Keep at it and good luck 👍👍

@@peyotewez Thanks for the detail/answering my questions, I'm sure I've been over tensioning it, yet to pop open, a previous owner had removed the shackle retaing pin before it was in my hands so I was sux on it. I'll keep at it Cheers mate :)

@@GordonWlocksport Cheers for the words mate, That fact I'm aware of, Hope to see ya get yours open I pick by hand mostly, I find the weight and tension tires me out to a point feedback is negligible. Hence attempts are a 20-30 minute sessions before I put it down and say f#ck it till another day... still it needs to be opened. Happy Picking!
