    Hi. I'm new to quilting since July, and practically everything I have bought is from Temu. Even today, bought lots of my very favourite strips/jelly rolls and other quilting items. I dont think I've been disappointed in anything at all. The hardest thing for me is finding the right patterns suitable for me to use my new fabrics 😊

    Thanks Holly for another wonderful video as always. You give off such positive energy and are so sweet and lovely. Love your channel. And thank you for smelling so nice it is appreciated😊. Ignore the negative people life is far too short. Your videos are great, positive and are a joy to watch. Thank you as always for the wonderful instructions, guidance and in depth reviews. Temu are a great option for every budget. You get what you pay for and for those things you cant always find. If you want expensive things then Temu isnt the place to go but i think they are a good to go option. Thank you for the review.❤

    Thank you so much. Those pins look the most interesting. I have some of those cheaper rotary cutters - but still hunt and use my Olfa or Fiskars.

      I had the wonderful but very expensive Martelli rotary cutters until my hands became "off grain" from arthritis.
      Bought a Westcott cutter w blade from Walmart for $8 USD. It was very light, easy to use, and the blade lasted forever! I used it through many projects, and bought a few more in case the new one wears out before I do!

    When I watch your videos you make me smile, I dont quilt now, I used to hand quilt over 40 years ago and loved it but the arthritis does not allow that now. Interesting haul, I tend not to buy from China directly but do get cross when an item is made in China and the mark up in 100s of percentages. 🙂

    Every morning when getting ready for the day I ALWAYS put on cologne. Always. It's something I do just for me. It helps me start the day off on the right foot. If it's a cold and dreary day, I put on a bath and body works coconut cologne because it reminds me of warmer and sunnier days on the beach. I have a small dog walking business and the dogs I walk couldnt care less what I smell like. Lol 😂 😂😂😂 So I understand that you put on perfume to record a video. I'm right there with you. It's always good to take a little time for ourselves. It's the little things like this that help us get through our days sometimes. And thank you for the encouraging words the other day. I needed to hear them for sure. And we are ALWAYS "enough". Thanks for all you do. I start my mornings off with watching one of your fabric box opening videos. I really enjoy them. Love the batik one. Considering getting that one. More of an earth tone/neutrals kind of girl, so not into all the florals. Have you come across a box such as this?
    Love and hugs

    Thank you for your Temu Unboxing video. I just recently placed an order and it hasn't arrived yet. In fact, I also ordered a 'death cloud' and the pins. I also ordered the bobbin box with 25 bobbins (1.68), 4 different colors of thread, 3000 yards each (1.68 ea), and 10 needle threaders (for us blind folk lol) and they were (0.78 ea) . And of the non quilty group, I purchased 50 hair bands that do not have the metal on them for (1.18). Once received, I'll let you know yay or nay! Once again, thank you for the video but more importantly your friendhip and cheerful attitude! Love your perfume! lol Have an awesome day!

    I just tried them out about 3 weeks ago, except I ordered fabric squares and scrapbooking dies. Being a new quilter I don't have a lot of scraps and I have wanted to make some scrappy projects that were more controlled scrappy, lol, so I ordered a rainbow of fabric. What can I say it is loosely woven and will have to be stitched very well into a project. No idea how it will wash or hold up, but imagine not very great 🤣 I have ordered dies before from Ali, they are then metal dies, they work, lol, sizes may be off if they are compared to others. Some I will use and some I don't like and will just turn around sell them. Wonder clips are a rip off...these may not hold up as long but for the price of the cheaper ones you can replace entire sets multiple times before even getting close to the Clover price!!! I don't have a roller or snips, but probably should look into get them from somewhere. The whole thing with China, my opinion is of you are ordering once, eh, o.k. we all buy stuff at Doller Tree it is NO different...would I order tons of stuff regularly, no. Thanks for sharing the baggies, I didn't know why you were so excited. I never thought about putting different projects into them!!

  • @tonizeni8758

    Hello, I too have purchased quilting products. I agree with you on what is good and what isn't. To confirm, I too have purchased the exact same pins, wonder clips, roller, snips (4), project bags of all sizes and with box bottoms. I can safely say, with confidence, that I have used them, all the time, for the last year and they are still as good as the day I received them. Therefore, since most of these products are made in China, why buy elsewhere and pay tenfold, when the same products are way cheaper on TEMU.
    Blessings for a fabulous weekend

    I did my first 'poking around to see what Temu had' session yesterday. I'm a quilter so that's where I looked.
    1. clips: I LOVE clips. I never use pins in my fabric. Ever. The price here was less than on Amazon so if that's your only concern, get these.
    2. pouches: having to store project keeper boxes is a pain. You need a lot of room for them. Before I went to Temu, I did get some folding plastic documents storage boxes on Amazon. They're not great but they are OK. And, when not in use, they fold flat again. I do like your pouches and they're something I would consider in the future.
    3. rotary cutters: I'll stick to OLFA. I've tried a few other brands and shapes but the curved one is what I prefer. I didn't see a locking button on yours but it's on the Olfas' and I like it.
    I'm looking for a review of fabric. Not yards of it but maybe some precuts. I probably would not buy them but for a beginner I think they would work. You could kind of get a feel for what you like - jelly rolls, layer cakes, charms, etc without spending a lot of money for something from Riley Blake
    .

  • @gigiontube
    @gigiontube ปีที่แล้ว +2

    What else they have are very good prices:
    - rulers
    - scissors all sizes
    - storage bags with zippers for big quilts or fabrics, some go under the bed.
    - storage plastic boxes and trash cans diff sizes
    - cotton fabric but those are 2 qualities - some packages have very flimsy fabrics but some have good quality quilting cotton fabric in squares of different sizes or jelly rolls.
    - good prices on Japanese fabrics for wall quilts, purses, or other projects
    - very good prices and selection on polyester threads; I did not find cotton thread at all.
    - silicon iron rest

      Everyone moans about thin fabric, may I say something?
      Thin cotton fabrics make wonderful clothing in hot climates. It's pretty and so soft. Try it even if you don't live in India or Florida, maybe when you go on a tropical vacation.

      What you are saying is true. But here we were talking and commenting about making quilts. Those thin fabrics are good for baby quilts but when you put so many labor hours and so much love to make a nice big quilt, you want to last and enjoy for many many years; That’s why a nice thick quilting fabric is preferred for such projects. 🥰

    This was interesting to me. I have never heard of them but I was needing more wonder clips but just couldn't bring myself to pay what they want for 50 more. I use them for so many things and will definitely be buying these and will check out the website. If he blades are interchangeable with olfa you could buy the cheap cutter and buy good blades which I think would be a great cheap option. My heart was sad to see you cutting up that beautiful kaffe fabric though. I did a little worry about your cutting. I know that you shake from your condition (?) and with so many rotary cutter accidents I hope when you cut your quilts you are using those gloves to be extra safe. Good video Holly

    • @DandelionStitches
      @DandelionStitches  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've had more people scold me for cutting up my Kaffe. I have yards of it, but it was disrespectful. I have Essential Tremors and the rotary cutter I use keeps me safe. I was thinking the same thing about the blades. Even if the cutter itself isn't super high quality, if you have good blades your can make it work.

      Very interesting experiment, Holly! 🧐 Things like the rollers, pins, clips, & those project bags look like they are worth the try. I LOVE the ergonomic rotary cutters. They're the only type I use. I don't trust myself to close the blade on the traditional type. And clips is clips is clips. I use them to position binding before starting to hand bind and always run out about 1/3 of the way around the quilt. I bought an extra 150 from Temu and don't regret it for a second.
