“Acting like a human.” I missed this the first time watching, but this one line really shows Aaron’s growth. When he first came out, he was so scared to talk about emotions or do anything that he thought would make him seem “less masculine” - he tried to emanate Cain a lot. Now, he isn’t scared to be emotional or to show those emotions, and he even, quietly, stands up to Cain by telling him that being decent and trying to comfort someone isn’t “acting like a fairy” (which - Ugh, really Cain?) but simply being human. It’s a nice bit of character growth in the middle of what is a heartbreaking and pivotal moment in Aaron’s life.
