I just learned the other day that F.W. Woolworth changed to the sporting goods industry and was the parent company of Foot Locker. Too bad they didn't have diner counters in those stores too! My cousins husband, also named Jorge, is from PR and she loves going there to visit his family and does a lot of shopping. He runs a satellite truck for one of the DFW local news stations. He gets to go to Super Bowl games every year. Not a bad gig...lol
My wife and I went to Barrachina with my parents back in 2012 and she couldn't get a regular pina colada since she was pregnant; we're going back again with my parents AND our kids in May and looking forward to visiting Barrachina again - best pina colada I've ever had! (And my family is Puerto Rican, so that's saying something!)
Humidity plus closer to the sun makes it worse than 100 degree dry heat which I get here in North Texas lol We are going to cruise out of San juan this week and staying in PR for 4 days before
Toss in the humidity and it is HOT my husbands favorite, not so much mine lol. LOVE San Juan last time we were there they had earthquakes in 2020. Had one the day we were there, like a 5. something. No electricity, everything was on generators. My mom LOVED San Juan and found out she LOVED Pina Colada's. Bought Bacardi and brought it home so me, at 18 and under age, could make her some and Strawberry Daquarius. And she called ME incorrigible lol. I heard the mofongo is good there too If you go back do the "Castle" tour at the farthest port, there's 2 and if you have a National Park Pass they are free. Highly recommend having a guided tour for them both.
@@FowlerFamilyFun Seriously you won't regret it. We LOVED our guide. Oh and try to remember for the farthest Castle, the BEST viewing point point is actually the womens restroom "porthole" view. It shows where the ships arrive and depart from. It's on the main level. AND the lands hopefully you'll be lucky to see people flying their kites It's SO awesome to see.
Looks like a nice place. GOD bless y'all

That would be cool to see all the games. Woolworth owned Champs sporting goods and Kenny’s Shoes and really a bunch more
Yeah, Freedom is a bigger class
Yeah, I couldn’t remember when I was right up on it and it was hard to tell when they were side-by-side. They looked almost the same.
