I think it would just be cool that once you actually reach the city, then you can use that as a hub/base as you take portals out to other worlds.
Would be a cool place to have players congregate, since its a shared world.

I'm looking forward to this so much, the test for this game was so good. Enshrouded was so disappointing with the what appears to be hard locked 60hz, and no fix incoming any time soon it looks like.
I was looking forward to Nightingale for what felt like years, since I first heard about it anyways. All of the recent footage I've seen makes it seem bland. I mean Dragons Dogma 2 is about to release. The giant was pretty much the main thing grabbing my attention in Nightingale, and it looks lackluster in comparison.
Palworld is the best ever thus far and its not really close, We shall see on Nightingale. Already starting off on the wrong foot with online only....

Playing nightingale felt weirdly like playing an outdated game. So the devs told the stress test was not their latest build and it clearly felt like it. I'm worried about the late game crafting, it looks like exploring new realms will mostly be about ticking quest boxes.

No they have just implemented 3rd person. It’s still a work in progress but it’s works pretty well for only being out in the game a few weeks ago.

What about it was not good? Easy to just say “Not good” but why was it not good? I have played and had an amazing time and can’t wait for the early access release.

@@sadwynbrophy3985 to get the most out of its potential you need a good video card, it's like Icarus, if everything is not at its max looks terrible and feels very generic, the lighting is not going well at all and the sound is not very well finished.

I am not sure if i like the "Its not just your party on the map" thing. Sounds like the best way to introduce always-online griefing into a game when most people just want to chill with the boiz and play a game.
Not sure what you mean here. You can choose who is in your group and who has access to your realm. You can choose public or friends only. Any griefing would be something you opened yourself up to.

There is no PvP. And the details that are provided in the video arnt correct. There are areas where you can see multiple parties. But not all the time. Each realm is procedurally generated and unique. So if you build you base in a realm you have opened and make that your “respite realm” which is where you will respawn if you die and load into when you start up the game. Then it will just be you and your party.
Survival Crafting Base-Building Game, with Dungeons, with procedural world generation, Monster Hunting, more than just the people you want to play with on a map... sounds like a title that will get headlines of "They tried to do too much different things in the same game and nothing works together" kinda thing.... was excited at the start of the video... at the end not so much.
The whole seeing other players is only in certain “hubs”. Each realm is different for every person that opens one as it’s all procedural. So if you are playing with your party and building in a realm you guys opened, it will just be you and your party. And I don’t think it’s doing too much. Most survival games have all those things and are good.
Honestly Nightingale would have been Awsome but watching footage th e whole first person thing kinda turning me off it.

Nah, after playing stress test is not.. Visually the game looks good, but the actual gameplay is just soo bad. They need to fix soo many elements, from combat, mining, crafting and UI / inventory are all terrible
The best platform for survival games was/is the Ark/Atlas template all these other games are not improving anything just same old new skin but most often offering LESS.
The add on effect of magic is actually a corner cutting design.
I see ZERO need for these real, cards the LAST thing I want is more gaited content I want Survival games to be wide open come and go where I please when I please.
A lot of us already did the replayability of realms within Valheim and all we have to do is enter a SEED name we didn't need to grind cards or slow down progression.
Trying to hype up the "community" "friends" ordeal with a realm is laughable because we already have that in survival games you can play with friends.
The intrigue of seeing a developer take a small model and just make it larger is again laughable gamers have such low expectations to just need to see a large model ...sigh.SO to put it in perspective a Cyclops in Atlas could NOT be fought melee his size was real he would knock you fling and kill you quickly but in these other games it is stupid seeing a puny human fighting a giant.
I’m not sure it’s really reasonable to say ark is the best model when many people don’t enjoy it. New games with different themes and art styles and mechanics are a good thing no one wants what would essentially be ark 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. Totally different setting and themes with magic and a potentially cool realm system. We’ll see when the game comes out and if it’s a bad model then it’s bad plain and simple.

No skill system, no levels, progression is based solely on equipment. Magic system based on equipment and no personal development. Lazy development in 2024. Will not be playing this.
I wouldn't call it lazy, just different way to design a game. Plenty of progression systems are entirely loot/equipment based.
