Welcome to the club! And this can complements the Arya very well. I own both, and I swap to the Arya when I want the cleanest, clearest, and most accurate presentation, but I swap to the VC when I really want to experience the music--fuller, more weighty and impactful, just overall a more fun and vivid experience. And you're right, this can absolutely does spoil other cans for me. I really haven't sought out any other headphones since I got it.
@@soulfulfool I own the Atrium and I have had the Arya v2 which has a wider soundstage than the the Arya stealth and I actually prefer the soundstage of the Atrium. Great review! As I am not really much of an audiophile, I found this review very enjoyable and easier to understand. I especially like how the Stellia was compared to the VC. I own the Stellia and enjoy the warmth. Since I have been considering getting another headphone, this makes me want to try out the VC. I like the energy from the Stellia, but I want something to compliment it for slower songs or vocals.
I freaking love VCs! They become much more comfortable without any hotspots when you install a Pilot-Pad to them btw! You MUST try these on a proper OTL tube amp, hope you do another review/update video once you experience them on your incoming Felix Euphoria OTL. In my experience I found them to be resolving enough to be top tier, but not so resolving that you get lost in the micro details. You can really enjoy the music with VCs and I think that makes them an excellent headphone for actual music enjoying audiophiles.
Thank you very much for this video as always great job, I heard verite open and closed at axpona few weeks ago and my impression was different (I do realize it was at a show) but vc did not sounded warm at all, too much energy on top, they didn't sound slow either. Hey, you forgot to compare them with the Legend Evo! Haha By the way, this was a GREAT review! I love closed back and IEM isolation. I really like my Elegia and MEST MKII. I got the Camphor Burl Verite Closed a few months ago. Most amazing looking headphones I've ever seen in person. I'll also add that the new Crescent Strap for the headband that Zach/ZMF has come up with that now ships with the ZMF' HP's is awesome. So comfortable. Something Audeze should look at and design a copy cat type headband support for their ridiculously heavy HP's. The VC for me are a great all rounder that handle all music genre's well. Similar to how you said you lean towards the Utopia now because it allows you to listen to all music genre's without always having to swap over to a different HP for a particular music genre. The VC sounds really good on the LYR 3 hybrid tube amp and the Burson Soloist 3XP both coming from the Bifrost 2 with the Lokius EQ in between. The VC EQ's well too if you want a little more Bass. @@timc_2433 Tough call. I really like the Burson House sound. I actually sold my Soloist and bought the Conductor 3X GT. If price is not an issue I'd take the Soloist. As the owner of both headphones, I will say for myself, while the first days of the Denon 9200 were burning, I hated them, but over time I changed the pads, the cable and now it is a very fun game. It’s fun, the bass is dry, but powerful, you feel it, but you don’t just hear it))) The vocals are clear, which is surprising for closed headphones, the stage is average (but somewhat reminiscent of open models), the upper frequencies are expanded more than Zmf Verite Closed, so the frequency layers of this of the range are well tracked without eavesdropping. Zmf Verite Closed have also not yet achieved a burning time of 60 hours, maybe more, so the sound sometimes differs, but the main thing is that the bass is more detailed, but the mid-bass is not as loud as the denon, but the lower frequencies are more detailed in layers, and it is possible to read its structure, more envelops the listener. The bottom is more voluminous, with less impact on the listener. And here the problems of song mastering can arise, especially in the upper middle. High frequencies are difficult to describe, they become less sharp as they warm up, but they are not very distinct, but they are there, good ones, I won't tell you more here, because it's not his feature. Zmf VC - first of all enhanced reverberation, the stage is a little bigger than denon, but reverberation makes objects bigger, even bigger than they are (my opinion). Zmf VC change the sound depending on the pads (I think you are not waiting for a complete revolution), but not especially with cables. Others changed the sound to an inconvenient position for the headphones, but on some music it made a difference, and on others, the advantages of these headphones were simply lost, and the disadvantages came out (today I will conduct another examination with two zmf pads - other things are available).
Everything is not so simple with the cable here, because high-quality copper plays well, especially one cable with a somewhat softened sound (the bass is softer, the treble is less sharp, the sensitivity is a little lower) gave musicality and smoothness. The copper is silver-plated, sharper, but the essence of what I want to say is this - I have a cable with silver, gold, palladium with separate cores, then its tonality, detail, neutrality, musicality, and other characteristics simply changed the sound (this is a step forward compared to the regular one that I if you honestly didn't like it). I connect via a balanced connection, although they are not demanding headphones, they are easy to control, but they like good amplification (and not just turn up the volume).

Hi buddy. Glad it worked out for you. I prefer the SP2KT with the EVO because it benefits from the better bass and treble extension on the AK DAP. The M17 also has decent bass and treble but its on the smoother side, and I prefer the M17 with my Utopia and Aryas.
@@amplifyaudioreviews awesome ! That's completely answers it. Thanks so much for the detailed response , looking forward to the next video !🌟
@@amplifyaudioreviews bte Sajid , I wanted to ask as I might have missed it on a video , why did you sell your Susvara ? I am absolutely delighted with the musicality of my Meze elite , but I may want to also get a Susvara as a compliment to it. Also, do you miss them ?🤣
Great review, very well done.
Which keyboard is that? Could you share a full photo
I’m in a very love/hate relationship with this headphone. I don’t think I’ll ever sell it but it’s not the endgame all rounder headphone I was expecting.
What amp are you using it with?
@@briandorsey6437 3 different amps of varying prices and power... AmpsandSound Kenzie OG Rev 2, the amp inside the ifi pro iDSD and the new Hifiman EF400. My issues with it are with some inherent quirks in the frequency response nothing that could be changed with better amplification tbh and I don't like EQ. As I said tho I wont be selling it because its a one of a kind headphone and the technical abilities of the headphone are just incredible.
Hi Sajid when can I hear your take on the Final Audio D8000 Pro Edition?, pretty much the only high end headphone you have not reviewed. Really interested because its made in Japan and the silver color looks really cool and cyberpunk-ish.
It's an awesome headphone, Tom. I need to bring it in for a review. I had some minor comfort issues, but nice one, honestly. Even the D8000 rocks. Literally. Some of the best bass.
@@amplifyaudioreviews Its nice if you could do a livestream with Andrew (Resolve) from the Headphone Show. I would love to hear more of your opinion on audio in a more detailed longer disccusion. Maybe some thoughts that you wanted but couldn’t include in the shorter reviews!.
@@tomvu9353 Yes, would love that. I should reach out to Andrew sometime. I respect his work greatly.
What are your thoughts as the VC being a TOTL pairing with another? Do you think susvara, Utopia or phi tc owners would be happy with it as a 2nd? Or to state it more specifically what the vc does well which is it more different than of the 3?
I own the Susvara and VC and definitely feel like it has a seat around the table. It presents differently obviously but it's amazing for a closed back and speed punch and slam are great compliment to the sus
its not a close comparison...susvara still sound better...but closed vs open...you cant get away from the closeness
@@trilingualkid No my questions is more for the Susvara/Utopia/1266 TC owners. If you own one of those and searching for a 2nd TOTL or near HP set which does the VC pair best with? meaning what the VC does best is the opposite of X?
How do they compare to the he r10p which you reviewed before? Is the VC a lot better?
It is tonally
Great review
