I am kinda new to the audiophile world but let me tell you a story. Few steps back, my dad got me into this world even tho he is more into speakers, he owns Magico Q7 and amp / dacs for around 80k euros, even his cables cost more than my setup but thats not my point, he said to me that everything changes the sound , but i wont hear it, I need to learn to hear the details. I moved forward and purchased JDS atom and dac stack and HD660s and it was my first setup i was really happy, however after around 7-8 months I decided to upgrade to LCD-X 2021 ,and here is what I want to point, amp and dac, now I demoed Burson Conductor 3x Reference , Chord Qutest + Anni and Naim Unity, I will tell you that all these 3 setups sounded very different, the Naim was most musical with least details. The Burson was Warm detailed and spacious , yes you heard me right , soundstage was bigger and everything was in the right place. Chord on the other hand was over detailed and was just throwing all the information which I didnt like because i felt overwhelmed I was losing on some parts of the songs it was just thrown at me as a mess when the Burson was just everything was at place and gently presented. Chord had better punch on the hitting instruments by a large margin. Anyway I hope this gives you a better idea and also if anyone says cable doesnt make a difference don't believe it I purchased few cables to test and they all sound different, but like i said you have to learn to listen.
Cables do make a difference starting with IEMs then headphones then interconnects But it really does show up when you go higher up the chain and the more resolve in your system is Playing about with cables when you’re messing around in the lo-fi or mid fight category is a waste of money But when you have a $25,000 system on your desk, believe me when I tell you cable to make a difference LOL
@@ConvinceMeAudio Exactly, we were talking about cables with my dad and I found the courage to ask how much is the USB cable he was talking about he really wanted, he said something like 6k euros for cable... my jaw dropped. But he also said if you have system for 300k you then hear every detail possible and a simple usb cable will affect the quality of the sound and in some occasions the tonality. But anyway thats a different universe and I am far from it at this stage of my life I am happy on 150 quid cables, and thats expensive for me :D haha
@@SamB-rk9qb it’s your brain playing tricks on you to justify the cost. You said Naim sounded most musical then said Burson sounded musical lol which is it bro?

@@adrianmorrish8494 it’s because he can’t get The specific woods all the time and much harder to work with probably
@@ConvinceMeAudio I understand, I am not wedded to ironwood, I do love using wood as a material though. The most beautiful wood is the wood on the tress that I walk through with my dogs and shelter me from sun and rain, or provide apples etc to pick and enjoy or my walks to the sea through the dunes. Responsibly grown even rare Woods I have no problem with. Music is an emotional Connection to me and the tactility of wooden cups when I can afford them only add to the experience.

Pads used for your review ???
I have the verite close and there's mo deep or big punch in bass , so my question to you or anyone else , what pads did the host use to obtain that punch ?
Autore hybrid pads
I think I saw this comment previously. Apologies, I thought I got to it,
@ConvinceMeAudio is that the all lamb or lamb with the suede on top ?
@ConvinceMeAudio with so many pads just mentioning the name don't help but describing it can help
The pad is a hybrid, a combination of leather and fabric
You just need to type in that name into the ZMF website, you’ll find it straight away
ZMF Auteur hybrid pads
@ConvinceMeAudio ok I have the lamb and suede/Valore top . Passion for sound also like that pad.
which cable did you test the verite closed with?
Silver litz level six most of the time
@@ConvinceMeAudio thnx. I couldn't find them. do you have a link to the cables?
also, what are litz cable and what does the level 6 mean?
@@Viewer13128 Silver LITZ level six cables are ultra expensive it’s going to set you back over $1000, unless your chain is utterly perfect I would not bother spending money on cables beyond what ZMF gives you it’s not necessary
The double helix cables are in the description of the videos mate
@@ConvinceMeAudio tyvm! good to know lol

Stellia or Verite Closed? They both got 5 🐅 ✨
Would you want to take them out and about with you and have flagship performance on the go?
Stellia
Do you want an incredible pair of headphones that encloses you in an office or home environment? But you can’t take them around with you, VC
@@ConvinceMeAudio thank you very much! And thank you for your channel. I enjoy your videos and impressions on headphones and audio in general. I give you 5🐅
@@joseluishernandezseptien they're also a very different sound sig Jose, like as different as it gets. Try both! They're about as detailed as one another but going for a very different vibe. Luckily in London there was a shop that had both so I tried them out simultaneously.
@@falcodarkzz Hi Zeb, thank you for your message. I wish I could! Here in Miami there are no audiophile stores where I could listen to high end headphones. The closest that it gets are music stores but they usually display headphones 10 times less expensive than Stellia or VC lol.
I will get the Stellia today hopefully (:
@@joseluishernandezseptien Nice! You made the same choice I did and I doubt you'll regret it.
What do you mean by saying "its best to get some fasteners so that those cups wont come out" what fasteners?
Little flat screws to tie the knot
so it ends up you love VC no matter what 😘
The video editing needs some work, a lot of visual descriptions got lost and not shown. Bitwolf I know you are reading this, next time when Koji is showing something make sure the camera is on him. Overall I like you're editing style but when visual descriptions are lost it detracts a lot from the video.
I am in a massive dilema, Verite closed or Hifiman HE1000V2, Both same price second hand , the Verite is used with few marks but in excellent working condition and the 1000V2 are brand new still wrapped. This is one of the most difficult decision I had to make so far as I dont have the chance to listen to neither of them... Please if you have an opinion I would appreciate if you could share it.
Two extremely different sounding headphones
For timbre and tonal balance I would definitely give it to VC for mid range I would give it to VC
Both excellent headphones but my personal choice would be the VC any day
@@ConvinceMeAudio Thank you for the quick response :) I really want to pull the trigger on the VC I heard it sounds insane with Eikon Suede pads if you haven't tried that yet !
@@SamB-rk9qb I don’t like it with those personally, my favourites is the hybrids from the o’tore
But that is the great thing about VC, you can have 10 of these pads and have 10 different headphones in the same headphones
And the changes are very drastic mate
@@ConvinceMeAudio I believe that, Its just a very hard decision to make... only thing which stops me is the marks on the cups, ZMF confirmed they can help me sort everything of course at a fair price but still... the Hifiman is brand new on the other hand... at the end I am happy to have these problems ha!
@@SamB-rk9qb I don’t blame you, I would hate for the VC to have marks on it that’s half of their appeal LOL they look so gorgeous you don’t want any damages on it
you think its stupid to use them on plane with a portable amp? im trying to decide between he1000v2 and these, and if i can use them on plane then its really an easy choice for me
@@tashmoo hekse it’s not something that you can use on a plane they’re completely open back
You might be able to manage this though quite easily there are some amazing portable set ups now that can easily deal with this. This review is very very old.
@@ConvinceMeAudioi thought these were closed back?

@@ConvinceMeAudio yea i know that what i asked is althought verite is closed is it too big/ hard to make portable? Is it stupid to take verite to plane trip, btw thanjs for fast replies man approciated
@@tashmoo it is a bit, yes it’s not a small headphone. My recommendation would be something like DCA, E3. Very good headphone and it’s manageable.
But you can certainly take this, but don’t expect it to be very portable at all it’s quite big
Can anyone speak to how these headphones perform with hip-hop and r&b?
Some of them exceptionally well
And there are others due to the nature of those two genres and the way they are mixed it will show you if the recording is very bad
For example the ZMF atrium or the Diana V2 will do a great job
What hip-hop on for example susvara not always will show you how badly things were recorded
@@ConvinceMeAudio thank you! 😁 Diana V2 is on my list

Tried it today & I couldn't bring myself to spend 2k for it..
do you mean something was bad about it's sound?
@@Viewer13128 I was listening with a portable amp, the sound is nowhere near $2k. But I owned the ZMF Atrium, I tried it with a Bifrost/Valhalla tube amp and it was the best headphone. I think it would be the same for the VC. Buy ZMF if you have a good set up ( imo )
How does this guy afford all this gear? Kind of pointless since amps have been proven to not sound different in multiple blind fold tests.
They’ve only been proven by deaf people LOL and I don’t need a blindfold to do a blind test not when you come to a person who can’t see 😉
As for how I can afford all of this, be happy you’re getting reviews
Cables do make a difference
starting with IEMs then headphones then interconnects
But it really does show up when you go higher up the chain and the more resolve in your system is
Playing about with cables when you’re messing around in the lo-fi or mid fight category is a waste of money
But when you have a $25,000 system on your desk, believe me when I tell you cable to make a difference LOL
