I was also at this show in Portland---I saw them at home in Salt Lake City a couple of nights before and was so impressed with the power of the music that I spent a small fortune on a last-minute flight up to Portland for the show there, and then went to the Gorge Amphitheater show the next night as well... Worth every penny and made some great memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I never thought I'd see the day. The two best songwriters of the last forty yers and rivals to boot getting together to sing an iconic song. Oh to have ben there.
Now we know the favorite song of Dylan(watch his feet)!!! Well, it is a great song to bring together this two great Masters...and on the stage, they radiate their light of art so smoothly to the lovers of their music.I love both & hope to see them both again in Istanbul.
💖💜💖 love this so much the Song of Silence with PAUL SIMON and BOB DYLAN is so beautiful thank you very much for that. Love Greetings 💖💜💖🌷🌺🌷🎶🎼🎶🎼🎶😍👍😍👍👏👏👏👏👏🍀🐞🍀🐞🍀💙🌺💚💙🌺💚💖💜💖💜💖💜💖💜💖💜💖💜💖
Fantastic!! Two of the three great Jewish Prophets of our era - Leonard Cohen being the other- delivering together one of the greatest sermons ever written/recorded. We all bow down and pray to the legends who still play, in the hope wisdom can be reached by the humble and the meek, despite the deepening Sound of Silence Orlando Furioso
I would go along with that ‘trinity’, lol! I used quotation marks because I know that trinity is not really a Jewish concept ... except that it seemed right to use the term here! I love the work of all three. It’s a shame that Neil Young isn’t Jewish because I might have invented a ‘quadrinity’, lol! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Wow, deeply moving... the essence of music. And this is unrehearsed (in the beginning watch Dylan searching for guitar riffs, complementary vocal, and lyrics, before locking in). Both artists are long-term greats for a reason.
Portland Rose Garden, June 12, 1999. I was there and followed them to the Gorge Amphitheater on the following day. They both gave amazing performances. Simon had like 10 in his band including 2 full drum sets. Their performance together was historic.
I wish the world could have seen Dylan in concert @DPAC Nov 4, 2016 after Nobel prize win, day before election. He was immaculate perfect form actually excited to be there. Danced smiled , the Dylan we all no and love. Check out set list as he pulled out everything from the 70's and up. Amazing, perfect. Completely understandable coherent, thanks Dylan for your life and love you sing out in your way to all. Love you.
Darlene Cappo I was there and , when he played Long and Waisted Years it brought tears to my eyes. 4 days before my birthday, most amazing experience of my life.
If I went to their concert, I think I would retire from ever seeing another concert again. Here stand, my two favorite artists/writers across every genre of music I like (from classical to edm)
+Quasimodo Your attitude is one of the reasons, that something is wrong with the music world, searching for and playing music would be even more beautiful without behaviours like yours.
Paweł Picasso i searched. and i found that 80 percent of edm sucks and does not match anything, for example, paul simon or bob dylan did AT THEIR WORST. let alone their best.
Oh my God this is so good. Paul making room for Bob and his vocal ability and Bob playing that incredible harmonica solo. Well done to two guys who started out in the same place and time.
We can all be thankful that Paul Simon started with Art Garfunkle. I don't think anyone would remember Dylan and Simon as a duo, but Simon and Garfunkle will forever be legendary.
There is Paul Simon. But there's no Garfunkel with out Paul Simon. What has he really done without Simon? Believe this Dylan's music will never be. forgotten. And you can say the same about Paul.
There are like very dear brothers to each others. Two great and beautiful souls; Music and great poems/songs are their life, heart and soul and full time occupations. They are the artists and musicians we need in this world; not like those who act like prostitutions of flesh and bone and soul and degrading themselves in various degrees.
The musical talents are just within their hearts and souls, and we followers are taking the food for the souls, for cleansing our heart, for awakening, for understanding our own purposes and goals in our own lives. To make peace within and without to HEAL THE WORLD (Heal the World by Michael Jackson 29 August 1958 - 25 June 2009)❤
I’m sorry I have to give this sound creed by Disturbed. David Draiman really makes you feel every word. It needs to be powerful and he brings that across.
In your opinion. For me the disturbed version is just shouting and lacks any emotional connection to the song or it's message. Worst cover version I've heard.
I like this almost as much as the original. If you're looking for an artist who does a song exactly as recorded, you can't and never will understand what Dylan is all about.
I like it! Patricia Redman . . . I have the audacity, veracity, and perspicacity to call Bob Dylan a rapper (of sorts) - in fact, the original, one time only - evidence "Subterranean Homesick Blues" best rap song ever - in fact the only good one ever, IMO (probably - I don't listen to rap).
Bob doesn't need to harmonize, he's not like all the others! That's what's so cool about him. Bob's style is different. It's how fans expect/love him to be!
Now you see it same song like looking out the cockpit of a b52g where is the peace tearing down our OUR DEMOCRACY ONE FOR ALL ALL FOR ONE I am wondering I took my oath did I do it in vain ,I swear to my twin b4other I did not
So awkwardly disjointed and endearing. That harmonica is haunting.
What a great surprise! This duet is fabulous and Bob Dylan"s harmonica gives us such a special show.
Two great song writers. Two of my favorite song writers on the same stage singing with each other, who could ask for anything more.
Que estupenda versión. Una completa armonía y esa harmónica!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Was für ein Lied. Was für ein Gefühl.
I love you Bob!!! Bob and Paul. Great!

bob's harmonica playing got incredible in the beginning of his career it was just blowing now it's full on melodic chilling solos
,bello ,hermoso como cantan ,gracias x esta bella musica

Hauntingly beautiful, two masters of poetic musical imagery.
This to me is masterful.
Bob's harmonica is sublime.
It sure is. It hits the soul if you like. It sounds magic.
Has even the goosebumps swaying.. Bob's harmonica..

Specially love the harmonica part. Whole song done beautifully by Two Greats!
Such a rare find
This man with a strong word for this world..icall him prince for he sit high and able to see our need.let your soul be blessed

+Jonathan B EDM sucks

I find a good use for it at the gym, but yes a lot of genres are filled with Grade A filth.
Jonathan B Yeah. The Sound of Silence wont exactly get you moving, even though it is a masterpiece.
Doesn't get any better than this.
Oh my God this is so good. Paul making room for Bob and his vocal ability and Bob playing that incredible harmonica solo. Well done to two guys who started out in the same place and time.
Dylan's voice made for some of the most interesting harmonies ever
Notice how Paul accommodated Bob's vocal range, so beautiful.
Incredible song, incredible artists ... Incredible performance!!
Perfect song & that beautiful harmonica sound that I always love to hear...
Magnific!
SIMPLY, MAGNIFIC.
KINGDOM OF GODS !!!

Art is ? who ?
?
Agree. Simon's songs are not the same without Art.

Two legends on one stage is mind blowing .
Such a poignant bit of poetry sung by maybe two of the best poets of twenthieth century

doesn’t get much better than this, thanks for posting 🎶
wonderful wonderful heartachingly wonderful.
I absolutely LOVE this! Thanks for posting it.
I LIKE THE WAY YOU MOVING BOB IT ATTRACTS ME
Classic song! Classic Artists!
Two legends on one stage . Incredible
Famous musicians, set pieces in desire. For what is and what was and what they still hope for no matter what.
Absolute perfection.
Best version so far
Listen to this poetry w musical accompanying them.awesome& beautiful beyond description.

Bob changes his own songs but not covers
lovin the harmonica
this was an amazing concert.
great video too.
Simply epic. As I take this in I gasp in awe, wide-eyed (and eared). Send out for some pillars and Cecil B. DeMille.
i like the way you move bob and paul is like little boy yeah boys you are the best kiss kiss
an absolute treat to pure talent
Un moment de pure magie !
Absolutely fantastic!
living legends ......
My two magic Stars!
Hello darkness my old friend 😞💔 10/2018
Two people doing what they do best...
Una maravilla de un premio Nobel
I'm crying this is so good
YEAH BOYS YOU ARE THE BEST
GREAT HARP SOLO
Really nice cover!
bob's best back up band of the 90's
Once Bob got a feel for the harmony, this was surprisingly good lol
Say what you will about Bob’s voice but he is strangely good at singing harmony
It is Paul”s Song. The greatest ever written
holy crap! AMAZING!
AWESOME
Dylan the epitome of COOL .
Amazing
まさかボブ・ディランとポール・サイモンがコラボするとは知りませんでした。DVD になったら一番嬉しいですね。洋楽で素晴らしいのはビッグスター二人だけです。
DEEP SOUL MONSTERS.
Love this!
Somehow, a very weird event. Mind blown in all kind of ways.
♥
💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I like it!

Art looks different somehow...
Looks different now you mean
Why am I getting a Prince if he played Mr. Purple in Reservoir Dogs vibe from Dylan’s outfit and hairdo right now?
🎶🎼⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Very cool.
fantastic
Hello darkness, my old friend,
GOOD LUCKY !!!
I think the only reason Bob invited him was so that he could finally look down at someone.
workingmansblues
It still was a tall order.
👍👍
Cool.
Wow!❤❤
precioso
Quando una canzone diventa leggenda
Edit ...my earlier post
They (There) are like very dear brothers to each others.....
I cannot believe that anyone would have the audacity to call Bob Dylan a rapper! Wow! Unbelievable!
Never thought it would happen.....damn...e
Rarely is Bob the tallest~E
Awesome two of my favorites but Dylan is a short guy in his own right so Simon must be just tiny
Dylan 5'7" - Simon 5'3" (same as Prince)
Art Garfunkel must have been rolling over in his grave, and I know he's not dead.
meilleur l original !!!!!
yeah boys
!!!!!!!
Why don't they know how to start it?
Both great legends, but Bob can’t harmonise for nuts. He did not even try. You would think he could have learnt over the past 40 years.
Bob doesn't need to harmonize, he's not like all the others! That's what's so cool about him. Bob's style is different. It's how fans expect/love him to be!

Dylan is kinda drunk or what? He just ebjoy the show fo Simon..
I love The Sound of Silence, but not this duet. This duet makes me appreciate Art Garfunkel much more than before.
