I had to remove & replace my sun blind on my 2008 Tiguan had the full glass sun roof. I checked the four drain tubes, that drain the sunroof gutter system, and found that two were blocked. When i brought my 2015 Tiguan, I brought one without a sunroof to save problems in the future.
Hello, thanks so much for your videos of quality. I have my headliner falling off and could not find any tips how to remove the whole thing before trying to do anything a proper way. I have a question about removing it. How much time should i foresee for a first time not to have to rush ? The trim removal tool are currently unavailable, do you have any other promoted links ? I actuality could do it with the few tools I already had within less than an hour. I only unclipped one side and the plastic at the back , pulled the headliner down on that side, then slide it off from the other side. then took it out in a few seconds. Great video and tips that made me confident doing it. Than you for the video anyway. Take care
Great video - one bit if you could clarify? Around the 25 minute 15 second mark you mention some hidden clips bihind the front internal light dome. I've managed to follow everything else on the video which is a very easy step by step but struggling to find the clips. My headliner is stuck up at the front? Can you offer any advice? Resolved plastic angled bracket insert small screw driver between plate attached to cross member and piece with apparent hole in. Keep pressing and should pop out of psing loaded catch. One each side. Then look at two plastic pillars about 10mm across just outside the brackets just releasted, Care as close to roof skin but press a trim tool in to create space between roof liner and roof and you should hear a opo, then liner will come out.
Great job, but less of the fear mongering. No need to disconnect battery . No need to be afraid of airbag. They don't go off, if you touch them. They don't explode etc. They are perfectly safe to handle.
Hi there, I had a sunroof hose leak and I succesfully sealed it. However my airbag light comes on after the work I've done... I had to remove the plastic civer from the B pillar, I'm guessing that's the reason... Any suggestion? It's a 2008 tiguan.

How did you remove rhose clips on that black trim in the middle front. Wasn't explained
