    The collar badge shows the soldier's vocation (MOS to American viewers), the patch on the right side is for the formation (eg 3 DIV, 6 DIV, Commando, Armour etc) and the epaulette in the centre is for the rank.
    On the left sleeve, there can be skill tabs (usually Guards or Ranger), marksman badge and fitness test gold or silver badge.
    Singapore skill badges like parachute, EOD and jungle confidence are worn above the Singapore tape. Foreign skill badges are above the individual soldier's name tape.
    I distinctly remember seeing a Special Forces tab on the pocket flap of the RSM's uniform at BMTC when I was there, but I don't know if that's standard.

    Very interesting pattern. The addition of the light green seems subtle versus the original MARPAT 3 color, but I'd bet it makes a huge difference once the pattern gets hit with natural light.
    Great video.

    personally i served 2 years in this uniform....everyone gives us shit for being conscripts but tbh out equipment is actually quite good for the environment it is in i mean comparing equipment to other volunteer armies we really arent that far apart

    Why have you stopped showing the tags?

    • @MikeB128
      @MikeB128  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the series is about the pattern, not the garment itself..... Also not all of these have tags...

      @@MikeB128 yeah but you used to show tags for basic recognition proposes which are great and the best for that. I personally liked more when you went over the camouflage and the garment but this is just an opinion.
