When this song came out I was deep in the world and an atheist. When I first heard it , it was the first time I heard an argument on this side of the equation where I understood the argument . And the the scripture he read at the beginning really planted a seed, now all these years later I’m a believer and the song, message and scripture ring even more true .
As a guy who has struggled with a history of having homosexual sex with some of my friends a while ago, that shame stuck with me for a while. Psychology said it was a mental illness, now we argue it's natural because some of us are born that way. I have not seen research to prove that individuals are NOT born with pedophile desires. I assume that you and I are subconsciously "straight", did you choose? The issue I see is that people don't ask themselves the same question. Instead they find their answers in an old book before even thinking to ask the question. You should really read your book, in which Jesus said nothing about gays, but he did promote slavery and required the hatred of ones family when bearing the cross to be his disciple. I said Jesus never mentioned it, as in the New testament. Granted, Jesus says he upholds the old laws, which includes those stories. The old laws also punish working on the sabbath with death too, which starts on Friday nights, but I can't imagine you'll be stoning a neighbor tomorrow for shoveling snow or serving you lunch. We ALL have certain desires that if we acted upon them would be sinful. A homosexuals struggle with homosexuality is no different from a person struggling with fidelity. The thing that always bugs me when someone compares two adults having sex to adults having sex with children, is that they don't seem to understand the problem with an adult having sex with a child in the first place. You would think the difference between two adults willingly having sex together and someone raping a child would be clear, but apparently not. In 'Bizzle's world and that of his ilk, child rape doesn't stand out as being a clear and distinct problem, it seems. Maybe that's why so many abusers end up in the church. I said Jesus never mentioned it, as in the New testament. Granted, Jesus says he upholds the old laws, which includes those stories. The old laws also punish working on the sabbath with death too, which starts on Friday nights, but I can't imagine you'll be stoning a neighbor tomorrow for shoveling snow or serving you lunch. If he did make that claim, it would be justified to dismiss this video do to the falsity of the claim. However, if all Bizzle is doing is expressing his view that homosexual acts are immoral. I see no reason to be intolerant of that view. You may not agree, but that is the point of tolerance. You don't have to tolerate someone you already agree with.
