Nice work. If you like a different sound quality you can put a rubber O-ring around the wooden ball where it contacts the tank. You get a warmer ringing sound to the chime.
Joshua, I just ran across you and your videos today. This is the first and only one i have watched so far. Very nicely done. I am curious about the ratio of ingredients for your rust solution.
@@jeffclark3932 Thanks Jefclark3933. I usually do a 1:1 or 2:1 vinegar to peroxide. I squirt a little soap in the mix to help hold it on the metal and a bit of salt.. the ratio doesn’t have to be precise. I’ve mixed it a variety of ratios and it always seems to work just fine as long as the metal is clean. 🤙
Thanks Craig🙏.. I do sell these ;) I’m always checking local listings for tanks. The steel ones are harder to come by than the aluminum ones, but I scoop them up when I can.👍 Ive made them from oxygen and co2 tanks as well, I’m sure there are some of those in your area ;)

Wow With all the right tools and the skills you have you should be able to sell these wind bells for a pretty penny. Very skilled amazing to watch you work with your hands. Do you have your own shop? Or do you sell online? You must be a fabricator or a welder by trade
Thanks Matt.. I am blessed to have my own shop. I do fabricate and make these bells on occasion and sell them on Etsy. I haven’t posted much there recently as I am looking for another less expensive way to sell my products. 👍
Hi CactusLadySouth.. It’s more of a manual use bell than a wind chime. Though if I made a longer and wider tail off the clapper it would probably work as a wind style bell. 👍
I got a comment notification on my phone.. the only portion of the comment it showed was “ Wrap your balls in leather” .. naturally I had to go see what it said😅😂😂.. haha Thanks for the advice, I’ll have to give it a try. 🙏🤙
Love the video only issue I had is it would have been nice to see you forge that islet like you did to hanger rather than putting a purchased piece in there otherwise great video awesome tutorial thanks
Curt Obermeyer Hi Curt, a cutting torch would work just fine for steel tanks. I’ve even seen guys use a grinder with cutting wheel. Some tanks are aluminum so a plasma cutter is ideal for those...
Hello👋🙋♂️ there.. Amazing and very interesting project.. So well explained.. Not easy.. But beautiful work.. Do keep posting new ideas💡💡💡 Warm regards and best👍💯 wishes✨✨✨ The UnknownManCub 👍😎👨🏭
Thank you UnknownManCub🙏🤙 I have a second video on making a bell. It’s not as instructional as the first but you can see that I did things a little different in that one. As I got more comfortable making bells, the process was modified and made easier and quicker. Maybe I’ll do a tutorial on it one day.
Thank you! Unfortunately this was a build I did for my own home. I modified mine from the plans on the attached site. I believe they may be able to get you in contact with a qualified contractor in your area.www.brickwoodovens.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIrqv-9YXY7AIVhT6tBh0wUQQSEAAYASAAEgK9fPD_BwE
Hi Carleen, Thanks you for watching my video👏 I do make these bells and sell them. I will put them on my Etsy account on occasion. I typically sell them for around $425 which includes shipping within California. May be more depending on shipping cost. Shaloha🤙
Sir as I half way thru your video is a 9rated.to get a ten from me, Well I would need to see a pretty lady So 9 is top for men folks Thanks you very much Sir
I've got such a crush on this guy. Nice chime too!
Wow 😊😊😁
Absolutely awesome design. I love it.
Nice work. If you like a different sound quality you can put a rubber O-ring around the wooden ball where it contacts the tank. You get a warmer ringing sound to the chime.
Good idea 👍 Thanks.
I made a leather wrapped one once for a guy for the same purpose.
Do it like you oughter, add the acid to the water. You did it right, man!
Learned that in high school chemistry class.. probably the only thing I learned I. That class .. …😜haha
Wow you have a awesome shop, there is so much stuff you can make in there. Nice job!
Thanks Rachel Larsen 🤙
I will be casting a 20 inch wide chapel bell in back yard of cast aluminum in october. I have an old cracked bell to use as a pattern.
Sounds like a fun project 🤙
Looking good!
Zac Herndon Thank you Zac🤙
Grate video and quality! My mother got me a wind chime similar to that the sound is amazing.
Mike Monahan Thank you 🙏 I’ll try and keep the videos coming 🤙
awesome build...keep up the good work mate
Thank you Jasdeep🙏🤙

These are amazing. You should sell these. I imagine there is a plethora of scooba tanks where you're located. Pretty hard to findin Nebraska.
Thanks Craig🙏.. I do sell these ;) I’m always checking local listings for tanks. The steel ones are harder to come by than the aluminum ones, but I scoop them up when I can.👍

I have 7 tanks in Los Angeles and no one to take them
It will ring better if you cut a line up the flat sides of the tank as well starting at the higher inside curves.
Thanks Thatamg_guy.. I’ve seen this done, I’ll have to give it a try 🤙

Amazing!. Thanks !
Thanks Bob🤙
@@ShalohaCreations Very welcome !
I guess this was a steel tank; but I have a couple of old aluminum ones... How does the timbre compare? :)
This was a steel tank but aluminum ones have good sound as well 👍
Good work
mohammed Idrees Thank You 🤙
How about a 30 lbs refrigerant jug i have plenty
Never done it.. should give it a try :) 🤙
I would like to know if it will take a gale wind to move the metal ball against the bell?
Hi CactusLadySouth.. It’s more of a manual use bell than a wind chime. Though if I made a longer and wider tail off the clapper it would probably work as a wind style bell. 👍
@@ShalohaCreations Do you have a formula for length of cord and size of tail for wind chimes to work in lower wind areas?
I don’t.. I only make these bells on occasion. Sorry
good job
Thank you 🙏🤙
Wrap you balls in leather ... eliminates the clang and gives you a deeper sound.

Shane Ferrier Thanks .. I agree.. I have another idea for a bell video I plan on making that will involve a lot more forging. Stay tuned;)
Very Nice Joshua, I would be great to have your shop and tools. Would a cutting torch be a substitute for a plasma cutter?
Thanks

Very good procedure, but you used up the allotted number of ahs (2). I did subscribe, though.
Thanks for subscribing 🤙. What what is ahs ?
Do you sell these? I really enjoyed your video, on the down side I do not know anyone that could make me one of these, I love this!!!
