Dublin was once a beautiful safe city which i loved to visit often...it had its problems like everywhere else..but the city and its people were fantastic....however i would not visit it now for 1 million euro ... horrendous...filthy ..very unsafe ..closed businesses..its sadly, just not a place to visit or live in ..very sad indeed...☹️🇮🇪
Oh I heard this on the radio on the way to work with my boss and I was laughing my ass off. Nothing about how expesnive everything is, from housing to just the most simple corner shop, how nothing is open late, everything opens late and closes early on a Sunday. Terrible traffic control that has caused more traffic, drugs all over the place, smell of weed throughout temple bar non stop and oh yeah gangs!
Think Harris would have better luck selling second hand tyres to the public at the moment , FG could not build a lego set without it costing billions. one thing, i think the g.p.o. should be maintained as the g.p.o. as per rathmines as you said and also dun laoghaire and phibsboro and also adelaide road and all those rural post offices that have been closed or are threatened with closure regarding the g.p.o. it might be different maybe for a museum if we had achieved liberation a hundred years but we lost betrayed by the free-state on an on-going basis the privatization of an post is treason it allows any foreign or corporate even individual entity to hack national irish communication legally then they announce some kind of scandal like there is a russian spy in dail eireann so what? dail eireann is the public assembly and we are supposed to be a democracy so what would be wrong with a russian or anybody else hearing us out? but of course as we know its not a democracy and the state is keeping secrets from us then you say the head honcho in the d.c.t.f. (sic) is the top man in an post well then he is already shown not to be acting in the public interest of course the spin quango assert that privatisation is in the public interest no really lastly there was a report that the state is going to shut down the road safety authority no shit sherlock they never did anything to improve road safety not a thing whatsoever they are only there for their infatuated pay-checks they were doing a publicity stunt on o'connell street one day i told them their vehicles were illegally parked on the median strip they told me to f-off big surprise
There is no need for anyone to live in poverty in Ireland. They can get social and there are many charities to help. I lived in a council estate 30 plus years ago and many were on social then and it was a lot less than now. People often found ways of making extra cash. Any spare money was spent on drink and drugs. If people want to live that way then OK, but don't cry poverty. Anyone who gets a good education usually does OK.
