A great pair of jorts is the 'simple shorts' from Carhartt, i got them in black. Coming in at around £70 they have a nice fit! Recommend. Great vid!

We need a best t shirts video
Best pair of shorts i've ever owned are the Colorful Organic Standard Twill shorts that you recommended in a previous video, surprised you didn't mention them here. Amazing silhouette and they hit above the knee perfect and come in a variety of colors.
Ok I love Uniqlo dry stretch easy shorts I have them in every color. They are a little more dressy but they can be easily worn down with a tee shirt. All the shorts you show look like gym shorts with the long draw strings. You like that but it’s not for me. Also I’m a little older than you (63) so I really can’t rock the gym shorts look. But you should really check out the Uniqlo shorts I mentioned they are light weight and super comfortable and if you’re going somewhere nice they’re a no brainer. Other then that I love what your doing and I really like you and your channel cheers

Interesting choices. In my opinion best proportion shorts are around 7 inches length (it may vary depending on person’s height) and despite of the current long shorts/jorts trend I’m always into that shorter length, so I really liked this video. I recommend you the Carhartt John Shorts, one of my fav pairs at the moment.
Agree with the essential branding, I was a little embarrassed to wear because of the big logo so I gave them to my wife lol, didn't realized the logo got smaller. Les Tien are my favorite shorts at the moment. Pricy but the material feels really nice and has that cut off sweat look with the long draw strings.

I have the same abercombrie linen shorts. I also bought them in size M, and normally i wear the same sizes as harry. But somehow, the wound up being larger than i thought and I have to pull thr drawstrings very tight

Joking mate, just haven’t been around for while, busy times but enjoyed this. To be honest: I am not a short guy. Even in China and about 43 degrees Celsius I was comfy in dry comfort pants from
Uniqlo. But for the beach I like the Uniqlo chino pants.

Just google whatever of my measurements you don’t know and put it to cm. Eg - 30” waist to cm and it will tell you 👍

I fell in line last year with the Dieworkwear view that shorts shouldn’t just be trousers that only go down to around the knee, so moved away from the bog standard fitted chino short a bit and ended up getting a fair bit of stuff from Mr. Porter’s own line in their end of season sale and was really impressed with the fabrics and quality. Got a nice mix of cotton/linen blend stuff in seersucker, dobby, chambray etc that are airier and fit my build better given the waists are elasticated/drawstring yet can be dressed up still. IMO when it’s hot enough to wear shorts you want fabrics and fits that are airier… and of course show off your quad sweep.
I still haven’t tried anything from their own line but love them as a company to buy from. I’ll give them a go sometime
@@HarryHas their stuff is more geared to classic menswear than fashion forward but it’s definitely great value at sale prices. The cotton linen shorts are a step up from the Abercrombie ones (I got them in a dark grey to go with dark Cuban/camp collar shirts for summer evenings - black ones always out of stock!). Starting to wonder if I’ll have a chance to wear any of them this year though the way the weather has been. All the June hayfever, none of the sun. :-/

I know for the FOG Essentials shorts that they recommend a XS for 30 in waist. Are the mediums too baggy or fit fine? Idk to go true to size or what.

I have different pants for different shoes or different shoes for different pants so it’s not a problem for me.

Hello, Harry. Thanks for the awesome video as always. Wanted to ask, when did you get your black linen blend A&F shorts? The ones you linked seem to be striped, and the other pair of black shorts, which I own, and which you showed in your videos a year ago, has this black washed color, which is also visible from the pictures on the website, but the ones you have seem to be pure black in color.

Just flip the ratio the other way around but I wouldn’t worry about it as much with shorts.

Am I the only one who prefers swimming shorts over traditional shorts for daily wear? I mean, why only wear them on the beach or at the pool? They are so breathable and light. Also, you can't really tell the difference.
I like a swim short too. Especially on holiday
They look good, and if you spontaneously want to swim, you can go because they dry within a few minutes. I feel like this is such an underrated hack
