i go the same guitar. wasn't pleased with the cheap nut. but it was an easy fix. bought a graphtech nut and now its perfect. i love this guitar. its my main piece. classic tele sound plus versatility of that strat pup. best guitar for the money imo.
.....Um well Petey is playing and let’s just state the obvious. He can make a Hello Kitty guitar sound good. He’s got magic in his hands and the music obviously just oozes effortlessly through him. The guitar sounds good too.
I've only just discovered these guys demos. I always thought only Rob did demos, and I was never really too fond of his demos because he uses too much distortion and you can barely hear the guitar. These guys are amazing!! will be watching more of their demos from now on.
In the 33 years I've been playing guitar, I have never owned one with a maple fretboard. I've always loved the sound of guitars with rosewood or ebony fretboards. But next week, I'll be buying my first - the Nashville Deluxe Tele. I played one about a month ago through a Fender Blues Jr., and it blew me away. It was the same color as the one in this video. I don't know if it's the combination of the Vintage Noiseless pickups and the maple fretboard, but it really nailed those classic Tele tones, with some cool Tele/Strat hybrid tones that were kind of haunting. It also played like butter. I own a 2012 Deluxe Player's Strat, which I absolutely love. The Fender Deluxe Series guitars are built with American made parts, which are assembled in their Mexican factory.
I've got a Sunburst Strat Deluxe very similar to the one at the beginning (but with a white scratch plate). I never get tired of playing it or just listening to it. Excellent guitar. (Also: excellent video guys!)
I will buy a new guitar from Andertons (even though I shouldn't) If Pete and Paul do a left-handed Paradiso special where they have to play the guitars!
Every guitar should have locking tuners and a curved heel for easy access to the upper frets. I also like the addition of noiseless pickups, though I know some like the noise. Definitely a step in the right direction for affordable Fender guitars.
That Telecaster Deluxe Nashville looks amazing, and it sounds great. Moreover, with locking tuners, new style strings tree, noiseless pickups, awesome!
got the tele 2 wks before. Can't be more attracted to the noiseless pickups and the sss configuration. Changed the neck to an elite rosewood one right away. 12" radius is too much for me. Now it's become a fantastic weapon of mine lol.
I've tried the Roadhouse and fell in love with it, but I'm definitely going to be going for the normal deluxe, just because i want that beautiful vintage blonde and the ability to have all three pickups on at once~
Yes, probably because for the first few years I was into guitar it was the late 70s and all the strats I saw had the bigger headstock. I didn’t even realise there was a smaller older headstock until the 80s. Initially I thought the smaller headstock looked weird, took me ages to get used to it.
I bought 3 of these, the Strat version with active tone control, another with the HSS configuration, and the Tele thinline version. They all have locking short post tuners, noiseless vintage pickups, contoured heels, S-1 switching and slightly higher skinnier frets. as well. 2 point trem on the strat, and a modern bridge on the teles. In my 50 years of buying Fender guitars they have never put such value and features into ANY model as with these guitars at this low a price point. And they are stunningly beautiful. I may hang them on my walls like art, if I get 2 or 3 more which I am considering. I have never owned more than 1 electric six string guitar at a time before this.
Tested the Nashville Tele in Fiesta Red, killer guitar, nice to play and really fat sounding...but in last second I bought a Fiesta Red MIJ 60's Strat, which sounded a tad meaner.
Great playing, I really have my eye on a Mexican Tele. I do wish they had given us the typical bridge + neck combo on this one, but I like the ability to get a Strat-like tone as an alternative. I would definitely like to have seen the thinline model as well. I have to confess that I think the chemistry is much better between Pete and Mick. Paul is a fantastic player, though, and seems engaging and knowledgeable. Definitely want to see more of him. Too much talent in the Andertons family, lol. Wouldn't you kill to jam with any of these guys?
Now that these updated (i.e., with Vintage Noiseless pickups) have been out for a while, I would really appreciate hearing from people who have played either the Deluxe Roadhouse Strat, or the Deluxe Strat, or both, because I am trying to narrow down which I would buy. From listening to various demos, it sounds like the V6 position switcher on the Roadhouse Strat produced more markedly different sounds with the Texas Specials, which have now been superseded by the Vintage Noiseless pickups on the Deluxe Roadhouse and the Deluxe Strat. Anyway, if anyone would like to post about either or both of these guitars, in terms of likes, dislikes, playability, versatility of tone and so on, I would be very grateful.
Sorry, it is not rosewood fretboard. I have the exact same guitar, and the fretboard is made of Pau Ferro (whatever that is), but it is a Great guitar!
@@geirbirkeland1573 Pau Ferro is the name of the tree which comes from Brazil. Also known as Brazilian ironwood or Leopard tree. "Pau" in portuguese literally means "stick of wood" and ferro is the word for iron.
18:02 made me think somewhat of "Children of the Sun" by Billy Thorpe...one of the best guitar songs ever. Great playing guys. I'm gonna get me that blue tele and hide it in the garage - away from the wife. Gonna have to work a few more years to buy any of those amps though...love the jam.
I got the Roadhouse if you just strum and hit the s1 it has a tiny boost. From there it sounds like it adds a little base to my ears anyways. Don't do what I did and leave it the cable in it after playing it will run the battery down. Thats the only thing I don't like about it is going through the batteries.
Super rhythm groove on the Tele, TIP: if you want to be a great lead player you MUST also be able to play great rhythm too, this is what set's the true greats like Clapton, Beck, Carleton, Eric Johnson, , EVH and especially Hendrix who could do both at the same time like nobody else has been able to truly master.
I'm looking at a deluxe strat as well. Really like the look of the trans blue deluxe strat. Hard to choose between that and the roadhouse with S1 though, or a HSS strat? I have a couple epi les pauls (Ultra & Custom) so I imagine an SSS would prob be better since i already have humbucker guitars (Gibson 57 classics in the LP Ultra) I have also seen an eric johnson 2008 red and have heard it is a great strat. It is about 1200 used vs the 900 of the deluxe new. Doesnt have locking turners and has a V neck. I don't own a strat but imagine i would like the c shape neck best. (I also have a jackson kelly). So much decisions!
Epi Les Paul owner with Pearly Gates pups . Got the Deluxe Roadhouse 2 months ago and I love it. You get that classic strat sounds you can never on a Les Paul, amazing tunning stability (my bridge floats up to a full interval) and the s1 switch which can add punch to your bridge pickup whenever you miss the humbucker!
Jeabus - You really let it rip on that outtro jam!.. Dang! Looking forward for at review of the thinline tele, i've had my eyes set on that for some time! Pisse fedt mand!

4:55 i think you got it the wrong way round i think the first sound was with both the neck and bridge pick up"s on and the second sound was the neck pick up by it"s self thats how it sounded to me?
Hi im looking for a good beginner and high quality electric gitar for 1000-1200 dollars looking at ibanez prestige/premium and Yamaha Revstar RS820CR and Yamaha RSP20CR and the fender telecasters but all the choices make it so hard to find the best one for the money and the best quality one. Really love the blues sound.
I think this is the best outro-jam that I’ve ever heard on Anderton’s. Pete's an amazing guitar player. I’d never seen Paul before, but he’s also excellent and a perfect foil for Pete here. This video shoot emphasises two things about Rob’s contributions. Firstly, although he brings a good upbeat vibe to the videos, he tries too hard and too often to be witty, to the point where it becomes a little tiresome and distracting. He’s a little bit like a child, always demanding attention, but The Captain understands this and controls him quite well. Secondly, Rob only ever seems to pay lip service to clean sounds and can’t wait to add tons of boost, overdrive and distortion to every guitar he plays. He might hear subtle nuances between these sounds, but to my older ears, they are homogenous. For me, Pete’s playing tells you far more about what a guitar sounds like and is therefore far more useful in making choices. And isn’t that what these videos are supposed to be about?
@@brosettastone7520 I was drinking a beer actually. It seems odd to receive comments 3 years after a post. But it was very welcome because it led me to that outro-jam which I've just listened to again. It's wonderful. Wonder what happened to Paul?

Do you ever run into any issues with the MIM guitars having string buzz? I have a mexican tele HH and I love it. I don't know. Just curious. Thanks y'all
I just bought the MIM Deluxe Strat. I did have to adjust the action and intonation on arrival. Plays excellent now. Very happy and I saved a tonne of money!

That deluxe Nashville Tele is great to play I just got one in the blonde love it

That jamming after the specs talk was just BRILLIANT!
Still one of the greatest Anderton's jams ever. Goosebumps every single time!
Got the HSS Strat (in blizzard pearl) and the Nashville Tele (in the same white, which shows the grains quite nicely). Love 'em both!
I wish Fender made more guitars on "Mystic Ice Blue" or "Agave Blue". They look pretty nice, especially on basses.
1:19 Pete has transcended into guitar god, he doesnt even need hands to play any more
He played the Tele like a theremin.
That really doesn't surprise me with him

Anyone else think the 70s big Strat headstock is just always better? Is there an example of the smaller one looking better than the bigger one?
Jamie The smaller one always looks better imo. The big one looks cartoonish
I agree! I thought it was just me. Whenever I choose a strat, I look at the headstock first. hahahhaa

Agreed! I like the look of the Jazz/Jag headstock for same reason
this may sound weird but big headstock with single coils, small with hum buckers
@03:23 that noise in the electronics sent mine to guarantee. it started with that noise and the S1 switch stopped working.
