    Don't apologize for asking 'simple' question, you kind of *have* to do it for the audience sake, otherwise it risks getting very technical and difficult to easily judge for the audience. Just mention it once to the others before stream, then go with it. You're more or less play by play, trying to describe what is happening, then the other players are more akin to color commentators explaining *why* it's happening. That's a good way to divide it up and get each other to shine.
    Also another thing of note, the post-game discussion partially helps avoid spoiler when exactly the game is going to end, which otherwise is possible from the playtime of the video/stream (if one is watching it afterwards, or is catching up). So that's good.

      He's getting better at it, also I have to give credit to OnSpotTV he casted with last week since he went out of his way to make everything easily understandable/accessible for new players.
      I guess Potato just needs to settle a bit more into the roll of play-by-play commentator and asking the right questions to getting the players that joins him to shine. Accept that there is no stupid questions to ask since he's casting the game, that it's better to assume that the viewer doesn't know all the intricacies of the game/mod. Those question also make it easier to the color commentators / players / experts to share their knowledge.

    Its hilarious, scary, and comforting at the same time to hear civ players not wanting to talk about their hrs played. Ive had the game for a week now and im close to 50 hrs

    +1 for both casting as well as playing more teams. I personally think it would be interesting if you started a team even with fellow newbies (possibly your viewers/patrons/fans even) rather than only all the best players to show case your collective learning curve (and over time I expect you'd become a competitive team).

    Highly appreciate the style of commenting. Some experienced pros and potato as Moderator and translator. Very professional.
    If you get the Chance to recruit them again for your stream, that'd be great. Keep it up!

    I think this is the most enjoyable format of civ 6 casting i have seen so far. Explaining everything and great in depth comentary by the multiplayer pros in here. Amazing job! Thank you all for the content.

    This is surprisingly fun to watch. Never really paid much attention to multiplayer but the 4v4 format is definitely esport material. Other modes are kinda dumb though. You're doing a great job on the cast. Just a few thoughts: try to direct your questions to a specific person so we don't go through the "go ahead... no you go ahead" phase every time. Definitely don't feel like you shouldn't ask dumb questions. ALL of us are even more in the dark about this whole scene and we all wanna know the answers to those "dumb" questions. I thought all your questions were great actually and it helped steer the conversation. Keep it up Potato! I'll definitely keep watching

      This Cast with Khornie, cynth & m1oel is on a par with your casts with Michael. Great insights on How pro Players „think“ Civ, which is really different to a Single Player Game. I am enjoying this a lot.

      Bonus is that it's then easy to watch through the stream and can jump forward at times without having to wait and sit through the interrupts caused by desyncs etc.

    Really enjoying these multi-player streams. So fascinating to see how differently the game is played against other humans and in teams. The group you had today were great at providing multiple perspectives and really appreciated your questions to better understand how multiplayer works!

      @@penguin-IDK You cannot settle a city within 4 tiles of another city.
      Your cities can only work tiles within 4 tiles of the city center, however they will grow beyond that eventually once all workable tiles are within your borders.
      He didn't settle within his city, rather within his borders but in a location where a city was always possible.
      Hope this was informative. Sorry for posting on such an old comment.

    Zulu getting early economy was HUGE this game. They had just enough money to keep Alexander afloat and prebuild for that Rome push. Even if Russia didnt exist, Zulu were prepped to steamroll the other team singlehandedly.

    I have always been curious to people actually play the multiplayer. Is it strategy when playing as teams?

    • @sunriseparrabellum5505
      @sunriseparrabellum5505 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      theres a lot of interesting strategies you can do in multiplayer like having one player who’s pretty isolated completely ignore everything except getting tech improvements to share with the team while being protected by other players. this is a pretty basic one though, just the first example i could think of

    • @yaoitiddieexpert1486
      @yaoitiddieexpert1486 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I also noticed that they each had a utility civ; ie peter and catherine. Catherine's spy game would be able to effectively and efficiently provide spys and gain information and tech steals etc, and russia would be able to provide huge amounts of culture and even threaten a culture victory through their insane amounts of great works, as well as effectively control and utilise tundra terrain that may otherwise be useless.

    3:50:00 How did Zulu get there? I mean, there is this wonderful 3-tile wide choke. Why were there no Rome units in it? I don't get it.

    • @Sashi_60
      @Sashi_60 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Very late reply, but Zulu has power over that choke point, the had a coastal city near by and their team basically controlled the left ocean, so it would have forced Zulu to make some sea units, but Zulu would have gone through anyways

      @eberlchl 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Momentum is the way I see it. Basically, what decision you can make in the short term that gets you "snowballing" as potato usually calls it. I think this usually applies to the early game.
