Hey Melissa, I finally made the brass bowl we were talking about. I put a link on my last video directing my viewers to your channel. I also told them I may head over and film a video with you. Maybe I should have asked first! Ha ha! I hope you are well.
Melissa- on this tool, what is the smallest width the measuring guide can handle? Seems to me the smallest width I can get using it is 30mm. I want to cut consistent 12mm strips - is that possible?
Hi Melissa (waving here!) - I purchased this shear some time ago and yesterday went to cut 18g Argentium sheet for the first time - it would not cut it. Before I contact Pepe, I was wondering if you know of anything I should check first. Stay well!
There is NO doubt that a guillotine shear is the way to go...I wish I had one. What is the cost of this one, please, well approximately, any way?? I know that Potter Tools also makes a shear - it would be great if he would let you also test one of his and for you to explain your findings as a comparison. Thanks, Melissa, for this info.
Hi Melissa, I just picked up a 4 inch shear from Pepe and I have one question, I find that the lower part of the measuring guide wiggles on a spring and I can't get an accurate measurement for repeat cuts, should I be placing my metal in the centre of the guide plate and not use the side guide?
@@MelissaMuir Thats what I have been doing too, if I may ask another question, is it okay to use the guillotine after I have textured annealed copper or should I always cut it first? Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge.

HappyAtom that is fantastic. Thank you. And I would still love to get together sometime.

I would check with Pepe to see what they say.

+Bobbi Benton-Stewart this one runs around $900. I would love to compare them sometime.

I never really use the guides and such for that reason. I typically mark the metal where I want to cut it and then make my cuts.

@@feltthefluff you should be able to
Cut it just fine without annealing. In fact, I find it a bit better.
@@feltthefluff yes. It is good to go before or after you texture the metal.
@@MelissaMuir thank you!
