Hi Melissa, I know this is 3 years old but wanted to know if you have a newer torch you recommend. I need to solder 6 mm jump rings. I have a MAPP with the long hose, and a butane like the camping size and a little chef torch. Id like to get a small handheld that I can use in the house when Im stringing vs working in my garage studio were I enamel, kiln and saw.
Thanks and I love teaching methods. I can't get enough of you.

I still like my butane torches. Durston makes a great one.

I pretty much use my Little torch for everything except melting and large annealing, I have oxy/act welding plant in my shed for this

Is there any way you can make polished 999 silver jewelry have an orange peel finish or something similar?

You could fuse silver dust on it. That is the easiest way for me to do it. There are also some rotary tools that will create that type of finish.

What about safety equipment for the torch.
